Issue #19: Official from DC Comics SiteFrom what I can tell, Loeb will be writing her series too. But don't quote me on that. I have the article from Wizard #160 (Feb 2005): "121 Reasons Why 2005 Will Rock" I'll see about getting the page scanned soon.

KittyPryde From what I can tell, Loeb will be writing her series too. But don't quote me on that. Yeah it's Loeb writing it. Plus Ian Churchill on art. That's reason enough to avoid it like a plague A lot of Loeb's plans on Kara are covered here: http://www.newsarama.com/DC/Supergirl/Supergirl.htm

That's really making my head hurt. I should be happy that an important character like Supergirl is getting her solo title back, but I can't say that I'm enthusiastic about it at all. The idea of her being a protege of Diana is interesting, but I'd much rather have Greg Rucka or Brian Azzarello write it because I like their takes on Wonder Woman. Having a Supergirl with more of a WW mindset than the Superman one would be very, very interesting. If done correctly.

If you wait long enough, hopefully a good writing team WILL move onto the title.
I've seen what the new artist does, and I think the art is hideous. Kara may as well just be wearing a thong bikini bottom out fighting crime. Her skirt barely covers enough of her crotch to be legal.

Yeah, the new artist seems to be going for some sort of creepy child porno look...it was bad enough that, according to her new origin, when Lois went out and bought her earth clothes, she decided to buy young innocent Kara thong underwear and lowrider jeans.
What kind of message was she trying to send to CLARK?!

This new Supergirl title seems quite scary then... Leob scares me! gonk
I liked the Linda Danvers one from back in 1996. I've collected most of those issues.

"Fallen Angel" is cancelled, isn't it? Did they kill "Lee/Linda Danvers" off?

What kind of message was she trying to send to CLARK?! Or even Connor for that matter. The whole thing just reeks and Michael Turner shouldn't escape criticism for it either. I honestly had no idea she was supposed to be that young until I read the link Etta posted.

(Which was heaps of issues ago.) I liked that Supergirl, she had a realism to her character. Even if she ended up being an Earth bound angel of fire or whatever it was. I've still to pick up the fallen angel issues. They're on my very long list of things to get.
