Aang and Katara, easy...think about it, it's the best choice. Zuko would use katara as bait for the avatar who would hate himself becuase the girl he fell in love with chose his nemesis/kidnapper/fire evil person over him.
Aang and katara would put a happy end to things, aang tells katara how he feels right before the big battle and when he wins they....
never mind, i'm rambling, sorry.

As for the Sokka x ?? ... I'm thinking Sokka would be totally cute with Tai-Lee *hopes she spelled that right*
Why? Just cause I wanna be different ^^; And I like Ty Lee, she's cute!

i dont like Zutara too much at all. i think there was/is too much conflict between Katara n Zuko. (+ a few years in age) n who knows when Zuko will stop trying to capture Aang n live his life. katara n jet could have been together but hes 'a monster' in her words, but i really kinda like the idea of Katara n Haru. we know his dad approves of her.
Aang n Katara could work, but right now, i feel hes too young. plus, hes the avatar. hes gunna hafta spend probably his whole life on the move, keeping peace. n what if evil rises again? they could go after Katara n take her hostage, like in most superhero movies (any1 see Spiderman?) although we know she wouldnt go down w/out a fight.
As for Zuko, i feel like hes mine n dont want Katara anywhere near him. ( sweatdrop is tht weird? sweatdrop ) Zuko needs someone like Song. he needs a girl tht will make the 1st move n slowly try to open him up. Song also shares a scar as well, even thow it was not from her dad. Song looks younger than him thow, and shes not a fighter, n not as pretty as Katara or Jun. So all in all, id like to see Zuko make peace w/ himself, n then open up into the teenage boy he should act like. then, he can prob get any girl he likes. wink

i think Ty Lee will want to get to know Sokka n maybe make a move once Azula is outta the way, but we all know tht Sokka's heart belongs to Yue... n then theres Suki. Suki n Sokka could work, but theyr both warriors. idt theyd see too much of each other. i always pictured Sokka w/ someone tht wasnt a bender...idk y. i think Ty Lee would be the one person who would laugh at Sokkas jokes. n we know the only reason she joined Azula was b/c she almost killed her during her tight-rope act.
oh, i 4got ZukoxMai. if Mai lightened up a little n wasnt so, dark n gloomy, she n Zuko could work. I always imagined those two as just a fling anyway. they could get hot n heavy, but it wouldnt last. who knows, the only time u really see Mai smile is when she hears Zuko's name.

First thing I wanna say.... I've never been a... fan of original characters in premade fandoms. Not that I haven't had any myself.... I've just never let them be well known..... It doesn't make you wierd.... just..... childish. Don't take that in the wrong way though, you'll understand what I mean when you outgrow that phase. *coughcouchmarysuecough*
Anyways, I think Sokka may not be ready for another relationship right now, since as you pointed out his heart obviously belongs to Yue. But as much as fairy tales beg to differ, people get older, they mature, and they eventually get over their loss and go on with their lives. Sokka is still really young to be hung up on his dead girlfriend for the rest of his life (don't take that too harsh, it's just the way things are).
On a side note, I find it endlessly amusing the way people are so hung up on age ^^ Not that age gaps are good (or bad for that matter).... it's just that 2 years is not a big gap in age. I just don't see it being a big deal is all ^^;
