With the arrival of Emily, the door to the danger room slid open. Inside was a simulated city block at nighttime, and it looked abandoned. Shift stepped hesitantly within the confines of the room and onto the "street." She glanced uncertainly behind herself at Echo and Phorce to see if they were coming.

"Just the three of us, then? Somehow I thought that there'd be more Level II's around here." Phorce stepped towards the doors, taking a deep breath to focus his mind. Most of his abilities right now were more instinctual, but to really work best, his mind needed to be open. the more imaginative he allowed himself to be, the more fun he found himself having. He felt outward from himself as he stepped out...or rather in, onto the street. Familiarizing himself with the energy of his teammates was one thing he did as a matter of course. If he could identify the people around him without looking, it made things easier later on. His perception he pushed out even further searching for other energies: these would be possible targets and combatants. So far... "Good news is that I can't find anything that could be dangerous yet," he spoke absently as his eyes continued to rove around him. "By the way, it might be good to get some names. I'm Phorce."

She glanced around them, thoroughly agreeing with Phorce. “Yeah, just us...” she said taking a step into the ‘street’. She allowed her hearing to go a little sensitive, without being painful, so that she could hear if anyone were approaching. She heard simulations of normal city noises and allowed her hearing to push out further, trying to listen in on things further and further away. She winced just a little when Phorce spoke again. She rubbed her ears, their hearing returning to normal. “Yeah, same here. I can’t hear anything out of ordinary. And I’m Emily, or ‘Echo’, or whatever.”

"Artic I'm a take a few of our men and make a quick run by. If anything they are all in the danger room if not outside."David laughed as he turned around and walked towards his bike. Some of the mutants that he was bringing along smiled while other were frightend."Boys we got permission now lets go!" They all hopped onto thier bikes and zoomed offf with him.

As Shift walked further down the street, she brushed shoulders with a few ordinary humans. They shuffled along and didn't make eye contact. She got the sudden feeling that she was being watched. Unknown to her, the program had just loaded five level three mutants at various parts of the simulated scene. Two were out of sight off to the left: a fire manipulator and a super strength mutant. Three were out of sight to the right: a telekinetic, a mutant with elastic tendencies, and one with poisonous fangs and serpent scales.
Arctic watched Ace depart with calculating eyes. Ace was useful, yes, but dangerous to have in his particular hand of cards. Arctic was instating a precarious play by trying to find the legendary helmet of Magneto. Luckily, Ace hadn't found out about that yet, and it would continue to be that way if Arctic persisted to be careful with his thoughts.
Outside of the mansion, a few of the students were having lunch and taking some recreational time. They ran among the ruined statues and overgrown garden that no one had cared to tend to for a very long time. Nova watched them from her study window, her cold gray gaze distant. Something was bothering the telepath. It felt familiar, but distant, yet it was closing in... "Ace." She murmured under her breath, recognizing the other telepath.

Ace had as well sensed Nova and quickly lowered his telepath level so that it couldn't be sensed. Humans were busy walking the stree infront of him he just simply smiled at sent a thunder ball at a young group of them saying,"Hail the Mighty Mutants!"His young crew all laughed. David Morien his real name had now slowed down and neared the mansion and looked at some of the kids saying to his crew,'We wait till night when they least expect it. Meanwhile go have some fun." His crew laughed and zoomed off some following others while some going seperate ways. Ace then looked towards his old mentor/friends window and smiled.

Echo followed after Shift, content to remain at the back. She kept her ears open for any odd noises. Of course, it wasn't like you could hear a mutant. They sounded pretty much them same as everyone else, unless they had some really weird deformity to the way they walked, but she kept listening for anything that sounded like it was coming towards them. Her eyes flicked around the crowds of people for any slight movement that looked like an attack. "Hey are any of you telepaths?" she asked quietly. " 'Cause that would kinda come come in handy."

Nova frowned as she lost touch with the telepathic presence. Had she imagined it? No, no she hadn't. She stood in indecision.
Shift shook her head in response to Echo's question, her eyes watching her surroundings warily. The serpent mutant began to close in, making soft hissing noises with each breath.

Phorce also shook his head. "Psychokinetic. I can, at this stage, only redirect active energy formations. But anything else is only theory right now. Well, I can also sense-" He holds up a hand as if to quiet everyone as he looks first in one direction than another. "An interesting fact that is of some consequence is that regular humans and mutants have slightly different energy frequencies, much like the difference between black and white," he commented as if it were just an everyday conversation topic. "And right now... there are several darkish forms approaching...from different directions." He frowns though. "Nothing distinct yet...damn." He kept moving forward, and watched a group of simulated humans as they walked past, a couple of the young women were giving him odd looks. "These simulations are too real; from those arrogant looks right down to the biokinetic energies." This last was more like an aside, or a spoken thought.

"True." she said absently to Phorce. "Very true, I can even hear their hearts beating. Who ever created them-" she stopped suddenly in her tracks, listening. "Huh, unless there's a large population of snakes in this city, I'd say we've got a mutant coming.... there!" she pointed in the direction of the noise, but nothing scaly had revealed itself yet. "It's some ways in the distance..." she continued, trying to pick it out from the other, louder, noises around her. "Um..I'd say, be here in less than a minute..?" she said unsurely, as if either of the other two could confirm this.

No one had to confirm this. The serpent mutant leapt out at Shift, who was still in the lead. She dodged just a second too late, and inhuman talons scratched down her arm. Her created appearance disappeared entirely, leaving her in her natural form, tail flicking in agitation. The serpent mutant turned his attentions to Phorce and Echo. His slithering steps brought him slowly closer as he bared his fangs, dripping with venom.

Suffice to say: the recreated humans and non-combatants needed little convincing to clear out of the way. Phorce had barely to glance around him as simulated cries and screams of "Mutant Attack!" echoed so completely and on into silence that he didn't even need to bring up the concern of how to clear the air. His complete attention was on the agressor before him. Reacting almost as quickly as the agitated Shift, Phorce went instantly into combat mode, his mind already returning to his lessons in Close Quarters combat. Growing up in a family with Xavier Institute affiliation had at least done him some good. Step One: Access Threat. Ugly mo-fo of a mutant with reptilian phisiology. Bio-energy fields suggest quick agility, as well as great strength, and subject is warm-blooded. Physical augmentations include claws, fangs, and venom. Step Two: Incompacitation. Phorce rushed forward, and dropped into a partial slide as if to sweep out the retile's feet, but at the last moment, he came to a ner halt, and pushed up through his legs and body, and upper-cut his tarfet with both booted feet.

Though she had been expecting the attack, Echo still felt her heart skip a beat as the thing jumped out at them. She tried to spring forward, but being some ways behind the group was pushed back in the stampede of fleeing civilians. She pushed her way to a wall and pressed herself against it until the people were gone. Realistic, yeah, too bloody realistic! By the time she was ready, the mutant had already attacked both Mimic and Phorce. She was a good fighter, though she didn’t really have an offensive power, and she sprang forward to help.

David looked at some of the students and snickered as he threw a small pebble towards a child probably around the age of 6 with telekinetics quickly knowing that it would hit and make the kid cry, and maybe even make him bleed. Ace knew that Nova would reqenise the kind of telekinetic power if he/she went straight to her.
