Professor Aldohaerin coughed audibly to quiet the class. Walking out from behaind the desk, she smiles brightly. Her long black hair hanging loose, she saw a few people gazing at her yellow eyes. "Welcome everyone to Transfiguration class. I will be your professor, Mrs. Mairyela Aldohaerin. It's a bit long to remember, so Professor A. is perfectly fine."

Taking in the class, she nodded. Everyone was paying attention. "Now," she stated, "we have quite a lot to learn, so we will begin with notes for today. We will start with the history of Transfiguration. Please take notes as we go along.

Now, the roots of Transfiguration was founded in ancient Egypt. The great Egyptian adept king, named by the Greeks "Hermes Trismegistus" is thought to have been the founder of the art. Reputed to have lived about 1900 B.C., he was highly celebrated for his wisdom and skill in the operation of nature. He was merely playing around with an ancient tablet known as the Emerald Tablet. Made entirely of jade, the tablet had some of the first known incantations written on it. It's thought that the tablet is know in the Ministry's hands, but no one can be truely certain."

Pausing a moment, she continued. "One day, Hermes Trismegistus turned his beloved daughter into a cat. The poor girl, frightened as she must have been, ran from her father into the streets. He never saw her again. To assure her safety, he declared all cats were sacred. It wasn't until 750 A.D that Transfiguration was experimented with again. It was in Arabia that a young man, named Abou Moussah Djfar-Al Sell, found a way to transform base metals into gold. For those taking notes, you can find this information in chapter one of Introduction to Transfiguration. Now, are there any questions at this time?"
