AminorThreat Kura X The Slayer Bite infinite is pretty useless really. If the opponent knows it's coming then they can mash out of it real fast. That's why I torture n00bs with it. xp Anyways. The Jam infinite on Potempkin was only possible in GGX through the Faultless defense Cancel glitch. They took that out and you can't really do it properly anymore. You don't know what you are talking about, with the slayer bite infinite in xx you cancel a dash midway into commandthrow by jump cancelling basically it works in this order.(A dash can be cancelled into a jump and the first part of a jump frame can be cancelled into a move, thus if you do the motion*LOOK AT YOUR NUMBER PAD ON YOUR KEYBOARD*6632147hs You get the dash out it buffers into the half circle back you get a jump and the hs is hit before a jump is visable to come out. THIS ALLOWS YOU TO MAKE THE LOOP FLAWLESS AND NOT ALLOW YOUR OPPENENT OUT. FDC is taken out mostly except for some stuff that works for gameplay like with faust/chipp(nothing comboable.) Jams infinite works with instant airdash punches into hs. Sorry. crying ooookay...that's waay too much work for a simple bite. What happened to the good old days when people weren't crazy about glitches and frame rate in fighting games? ...but I'm pretty sure that everyone's backdash does NOT have invincibility. If that was true, you could backdash through Alpha Blades. I know for sure that they can dodge lows like I-no's 'Stroke the Big Tree' move. It's a given that Slayer's backdash gives him some invincibility, but it shouldn't be whored.

Um, what is the matter with learning about your characters? Just because in america they don't tell us jack about a game when it's released doesn't mean we should then read the japanese books. EVERYONE DOES have backdash invincibility, you can't backdash out of that because of how many active hitting frames there are in an alpha blade.
That is not a glitch, that is how the system works to make it easier for some people to do moves. If it was so strict that you jumped instantly etc, then it would be alot harder to do things and jump abuse would be easy.
Also, why shouldn't it be 'whored'? If you don't know how to punish something why shouldn't I keep using it till you learn how? If you read the frame data on the links I posted you will see that everyone has some invincibility frames in part of their backdash. Slayer can abuse this like roll cancelling though by carrying invincibility frames from cancelling a dash into a move.
If you have any questions about anything please ask, I am not afraid to answer anything about this game.

Dude, I'm not trying to start a fight or anything, I'm just relaying the info as it was told to me when i heard about it. There's nothing wrong with learning about your character, just it kinda sickens me to the point where players abuse flaws in games to get where they want. There's so much craving for victory that it makes the game not fun to play anymore. I'm a recovering win-a-holic, I know firsthand what's that's like on both sides iof the coin.
When I say Slayer's back dashed shouldn't be whored I mean that you shouldn't depend your life on it. It's a good move but it isn't godly, it can be punised if used improperly--I know from experience. My brother uses Axl JUST for his counterattack moves. He's learned to mix up his game a bit now but before that was the only thing he ever did. He 'whored' the move lie it was the best thing in the world and I punish him when he trips up.

There are the people who have no clue and if they consider a move "cheap" they don't want anyone doing it. I crave victory but I also crave understanding and when your oppenents put the same effort into playing it makes the competition that much better. For me I am know as one of the laziest players in the scene, if I practiced more I would be extremely solid technically wise but this is why you don't see me winning tourneys with eddie. sweatdrop

To me, Tourneys just show exactly how many people use the same characters (Sol/Ky/Faust/Johnny/whoever) just to win. Tell me a tale of a May player winning a tournament and I will sign up for the next one. xd And I thought I was lazy, the only practice i get is when i play other people.

Well there's some hope in this victory-craving world after all. #reload comes out in like 2-3 days here. Once I get my copy I'll practice so i can see where i can go in the next tourney using Jam. xd

I play who I feel like it, it has been zappa lately but may is my next project. I started xx playing faust, I liked poking since I am a big sf player so I picked him up. My next two characters were buri/sol since I am a dragon punch fan, I never really liked Ky and Ky's combos and setups just seemed too simplistic. I then started playing axl/millia and now have made it onto zappa. I would just learn any character in this game and play random if I could not procrastinate so much but it is very hard for me to get myself to go in training mode and practice combos/setups. I don't hold anything against anyone for picking any character though, especially in XX if I can't win a matchup it is my own fault.

I wish my arcade would have an Isuka tournament. I bet I could have a good chance of winning. Nobody ALWAYS wins, but my ratio is about...oh...I'd say 8 to 1. I have seriously b***h slapped some people with Slayer and Baiken
Alas, there is no tournament...and no chance for me to win cash prizes crying
