Not really, considering that he only needed to die, so that Vash would go insane for Knives pourposes, and story wise, it allowed him to be more comfortable with possibly having to kill Knives. Vash is at that point in volume 9 of the manga, and Legato is still hopping around in his box.

I'll be honest, I...actually started to fall in love with Legato. I mean..... he kinda grows on u in the beginning, he's one of those charc where you'd love to hate him, but you can't.

Wolfwoods I'll be honest, I...actually started to fall in love with Legato. I mean..... he kinda grows on u in the beginning, he's one of those charc where you'd love to hate him, but you can't. ano, love not leteral yeah... he's a very complex character once you go beyond the "oo... he's so psychotic and evil..." phase...

OH NOOOO! How could you?! Legato owns! I once started a doujinshi about him . . . never did finish that fanfic either ^_^;
But I think he's got a lot of reasons for how he is. He's loyal to Knives! So he's a little crazy, but aren't we all?

Wolfwood's teacher, CHAPEL the Evergreen (who isn't the same in the manga) would have killed Wolfwood anyway, IMO. Technically, I suppose Legato had his "hand" in it, but I don't think the outcome would have been any different had he not intervened.

He wouldn't have killed Wolfwood, because he had lost, and he had accepted it. That's why he was pissed off at Legato, because he had lost, and Legato had forced him to kill Wolfwood.
As for the thing with Chaple, there are a couple times in the anime when the other gung-ho-guns recognize him as a gung-ho-gun, and a couple of them started calling him Chaple.
I have been a fan of trigun since it hit US shores. I know everything from character motivation to the origins of Dark Vash.

Oh, I'm SOO impressed . . . since I started watching it FANSUBBED before it got here. He's not really "dark Vash" he's DYING. That's pretty much the origin. His hair turns darker as he starts to die. If you read the manga, ya know that. Don't be such a cocky b*****d, jeezus . . . In the manga, Wolfwood is Chapel. In the anime, you could call Wolfwood Chapel, but it's not to be confused with Chapel the Evergreen. And I said that it was MY opinion that Chapel would have killed him anyway. This is Nightow's work, afterall.

ha... i know... sometimes i get confused when people say chapel because i don't always know if they're talking about wolfwood or chapel the evergreen.
