I ranted about this on another thread, but I intensely disliked how Akito was turned into a girl. And I know for a fact that the kimono was open enough in the manga to show breasts, and there were none in the earlier books. I know
crossplayers, so don't make me go into detail.
Overall, I hate how happy this series turned out. Everyone ended up happy, didn't they? Such an ending is obviously catering to the girls who believed in all the fairytales as children. In real life, and in any good story, at least one or two people are screwed over besides the main villain.
I also abhor the soap-opera content. I was disappointed that Hatsuharu slept with Isuzu, but I managed to get over that because of the 'problems' it caused.
And... Despite not reading the actual ending, and just the spoilers... after looking at so much I made a remark. 'Just you watch. Even Ayame will be straight.' ....Looks like I was right.
Now, my friend... Well, there's a unique story all its own. He was an Akito RPer, and a damned good one. He creeped out everyone. And he did it wonderfully,
flawlessly. You could actually
feel dismay in the
real world when your character was approached (Our Tohru relayed this information in out of character texts). He's also the future head of his family, and has unidentifiable health issues. He's even cosplayed Akito once, though in the street clothes of the anime (he likes turtlenecks). The... Kureno affair made him sneer. The turning of Akito into a girl made him furious. And Shigure...? I think he fell ill from that one (he looked paler than normal, anyway).
Way to almost kill my friend, Takaya.
