(reserved in case I feel like adding something here for when I advance with Clerise)

Six surprisingly blue eyes open to the world, blinking away the sleep. They discover almost immediately that something is missing. The rest of Cerceris's body joins in on the search, casting about for the white rabbit. The sheets on her bed are unrumpled where she had lain, devoid of the precious toy. A frown settling on her face, she turns to seek elsewhere. It is impossible not to spot the rabbit once she turns around, its stuffing strewn about it, one arm several inches away from the rest of its shredded body. She is there almost before the distressed cry has escaped her lips, cradling the crumpled form in mourning. She pulls back suddenly, startled, as the toy crumbles like dust in her hands. The pieces fall through her fingers, twisting into sickly white worms as they touch the floor. She takes a faltering step back as the worms writhe toward her, moving faster than physics should allow. Too slow - they are upon her, splitting and growing and crawling to cover her. Their touch burns her bare skin, but her pained cry dies in her throat as she realizes what would happen if she was to open her mouth. The weight of the swarming worms crushes in on her like a constricting snake. //They will stop if you tell them to.// The familiar voice breaks through the Aanida's panic. It has never lied to her before, and this calms her. Get off of me, she tells the worms. It turns out to be quite a lot like talking to the Academy's walls, and the results are just as immediate. The worms draw back and begin milling harmlessly around her feet. If they do what I tell them, she directs her thoughts at the voice, why were they hurting me? //You are a peaceful soul, and you leave your anger no outlet but your dreaming self.// The worms crawl up into Cerceris's arms and reshape themselves into the white rabbit, which she clutches tightly. There is no arguing with the voice. Instead, she questions it. Who are you? Why do you tell me things? //I am Damkina. I speak with you because you have the innate intelligence and receptiveness to be my bond.// Before the Aanida can ask any further questions, she discovers that the information is already in her mind. She knows all about Damkina and god bonding and the reasons behind her personal bond, her eyes widening at the sudden realization as well as the sense of déja vu. At a loss for anything else to say, she settles for Thank you. There is the impression of a smile. //Remember that although you know how to manipulate your dreams, it is usually best to let them run their natural course.// Cerceris nods, and wakes up.
