X[phucket]X Das_Naughty! Pyrzqxgl I would take MDMA (ecstasy) to deal with the depression and s**t but that didn't work and so they put me on seroquel and it wasn't working so I'm back on the MDMA. I have an appointment with my doctor on friday so we'll see what else they'll put me on so I can stop with the MDMA. I think there should be a website listing drug interactions between legal prescription ones and illegal ones. From what I've seen people with mental issues are more likely to be taking the illegal drugs (self medicating) so they should definatly have a site listing the interactions. From personal experience, anti-psychotics don't have bad interactions with serotonin altering drugs, but don't work as well with drugs that ******** with dopamine. But when you're on anti-depressants its good to stay away from seratonin altering drugs. wow. my normal response is "to each his own" but all i can say now is wow. i've heard of a lot of self medicating but never MDMA before. why do you take it. how does it make you feel? My sister is on crack, I don't like that, at all. I wish she would just like, stop with that, but oh well. As long as she's reasonably safe, I guess its okay. MDMA is of course dangerous, but particularly when mixed with perscription drugs, just be careful. ya i delt with cocaine so i can kinda understand where your comming from. did you let her know how you felt?

I probably self-medicate with pot. But I smoke it regardless of what mood I'm in. Just more often, and in larger amounts when I'm depressed, I guess.

Das_Naughty!: The thing is, shes in college, and so I don't think shes using it much more than anyone else, but I just don't know. I don't want to go up to her and tell her its buggin me, I dun know, I'll find some way, maybe.

i dont take drugs,drink, or smoke. mostly cuz my dad is an alcoholic pothead ex cocaine addict and ex drug dealer.
ive been on so many meds in the last 6 years its not even funny. now i refuse to take any. the side effects and the changes to my personality were horrible. ive learned to manage my behavior though i still cant control how badly i feel inside.
ive been on prozac, paxil, respirdal, lithium, seroquel, zoloft, pamolar, remeron, and more that i cannot remember.
how bout you guys?
by the way, im new, im 22, been diagnosed since i was 17, i also have bpd.

BPD as in Borderline Personality Disorder? Same here, I think. Have yet to be diagnosed with it.

Amens I havnt been given any drugs from the docs yet, but I sometimes to other drugs to get away from my head as I say. Then I smoke pot, get drunk and take pills of all kinds. Gonna get drunk to night... Same here.

I just know that i ruined a relationship because i didn't tell the person how i felt. you know your sis more than i do. you shoudl deal how you see fit. smile

I take it when I start to feel the depression coming.... It fixes the depression, I'll say that much, but it does do quite a bit of brain/memory damage. I had a bipolar friend in High School who would do the same thing, and it worked for him so I started... I know quite a few people who self medicate with it. The big problem is getting pure MDMA, the little ecstasy pills can be full of God knows what, like hallucinogenic chems like 2cb and 2ci. I've read a few articles about doctors that want to use it to help people suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (I think it's called that).

my daughter was on prozac and tried to off herself, apparently 10 years ago they discovered the link between prozac and suicidal thoughts and that people on prozac had more suicidal thoughts and tendancies than people on other drugs. I almost lost my daughter because they didn't make these studies shown until recently

self medication is awesome. stonerz! woot! but there are very few hard drugs i touch. meh. i dont use hard drugs much, i stick to my precious vodka.

I've used: weed, alchohol, dxm, mda, mdma, lsd, mushrooms, and meth.
Stay away from any type of pills!! Pills are the DEVIL!! domokun lol
Weed and mushrooms for me, anything that has to touch into chemistry shouldn't be done.
And alchohol should only be used in party occasions.
