I bet they do wonders in the winter for you! I can definitely see the price for the sandals being worth it, especially if they last you up to 5 years and you wear them all the time!

I did do some searching online about the brand the shirts are, and it looks like they may be a brand is sold by Belks and maybe Sear's. I was actually given the tops as a gift so I can't be totally sure. An I've had them for about two years.

I totally get what you mean about tops like that, I'd like to find some myself. But when you see them they tend to be a little heavy feeling or not in plus size u.u.
I wish I could help you with pants, are you looking for like those flowy/guazey beachy type pants? my mom has a pair of cotton ones she found in the thrift store and we could never figure out where they could have come from. We assume a store like Ross or Bealls outlet. In fact if you check Blair's they might have some or some sort of cotton pants.
If they're full length and not skinny jeans type, it'd be wonderful. I tend to go with twills or jeans. I miss being able to get them in many colors. One plus sized store near me (Catherines) does have cotton pants but the rise is way to high; about 4 inches above my belly button even on the petite cuts. Too bad; they also came in many colors. All their blouses are either long sleeved or 3/4 length these last few years too, so no luck on cool cotton blouses either. And why are all the stores all doing tank tops on polyester? I mean seriously; if it's hot enough to wear a tank top, it's too hot for synthetics that hold in the heat!!! scream

My mom's pair i wanna say is like a flare but not hippie flare lol
But yea that's understandable, Blair's sells like boot cut, straight leg or like capri/peddle pusher length. and different colors..you mean like pink or sky blue? o.o your waay more adventurous in pant colors than me. and yes! i've noticed that as well with tank tops, in fact I got some men's plain white tank tops a few weeks ago and the package said that they were all 100% cotton, but i go to find out that while 3 are in fact all cotton two of them are a cotton poly blend o.o how does that even happen?

I know what style you mean; I'd love to find some like that that fit and are flattering.

Most stores seem to sell only that right now.

Yes, or brown or red or green.... It's really no harder to do than making avies when you can find pants and other clothing, besides tops in many colors.

Oh my. Earlier this year I did find some pants in 99% cotton and they are super comfortable. But other exact same pants in that line in that color and all the other colors were 40% cotton/60% poly which was really disappointing. I asked the same question "how does that even happen?" But in the same package like your tank tops? Wow!

Yeah it's kinda hard to find jeans/pants right now because it's all skinny style, I mean I have two pairs of skinny jeans. But sometimes I just want to wear boot cut or flare. I mean HELLO! your legs get hot in skinny jeans rofl

That's true, its not different than if you were dressing your avi on here, but I wouldn't mind colored pants..except I tend to spill things on myself and wearing light colored pants would be a little troublesome. I do however wear printed pants with no problem haha.

Exactly! and I get if they were separated from the others like you were saying about the pants, but in one package..that just doesn't make any sense. I have noticed that with tops and stuff as well, one color can be like 99 cotton and then another color/print is a totally different blend. I sometimes wonder if its the color/print itself. but that still doesn't make sense.

If you tend to spill stuff, I have the product for you: Resolve (formally Spray n Wash) stain stick. It's the reason I still have clothing that is not stained. It is not a bleach stick (those don't really work), but an enzyme cleaner you apply as you put clothing in the hamper (follow package directions). Then when it comes time to do the wash, voila, no stains. It's kind of hard to find at times because the company is pushing newer products but it's one of the best things out there and no perfume odor.

Skinny jeans emotion_facepalm So been there done that twice before this round. And they're so unflattering to older bodies that are not super skinny. A large percentage of the female population now is over 55 and yes, we too need to wear nice flattering clothing.

As for content shift, in the same lines and even the same colors, I can only surmise the higher cotton content versions were made earlier, when cotton was more available. There was a shortage for several years but I heard farmers internationally started planting a lot of it again last year.

Oh I just usually use pure white vinegar and it usually works pretty well.
mrgreen no worries there! I don't blame you, I have definitely gotten tired of the whole skinny jeans trend and avoid buying jeans for that reason unless I need new capris or shorts. I can see that being the reason for making some things in the same line having totally different thread counts/materials mixed in. It's definitely annoying though when you see one print and you really like it only to find out that it's made of terrible polyester, ryon etc. compared to another version thats all cotton.

You don't have a problem with vinegar bleaching out darker clothing?

I guess I'll wait to see what fall and winter bring to clothing stores; I may find some things, although not my summer type blouses.

No, I haven't had any problems. What I do is add it into the machine like you do when you add your regular laundry soap..pour some around drum, Or sometimes I put it in the little spot where you put fabric softener.

Sometimes you can find those flowy blouses with the winter wear, at least here ou can sometimes. but that might just be because of the weather.

Good to know as a backup in case my enzyme cleaner doesn't work (occasionally it doesn't, but that's rare).

Maybe I should come visit you in winter to go shopping? I haven't seen any here in about 4 years now.

You can also, use it in bath towels to help get rid of them smelling kinda stale even after being washed.

Sure come on down, you don't have to worry about trekking around in the snow or freezing weather. I can't promise that there will be flowy tops, since it gets changed up sometimes.

That's a great idea. I'll remember that. I have white vinegar on hand for all kinds of cleaning in any case. (Then I found out my new counters can't handle any cleaner that isn't ph neutral--manufactured quartz. Fortunately it cleans easily with soap and water. Unfortunately, any food spills I miss are likely to damage it.)

Heh, I may actually take you up on that. My h has been trying to get me to Florida for years so if I suggest a trip some day, he'd probably jump on the idea. lol
