Kyotsuke Akihime Delusiah Another way to look at it is Biological gender and mental gender. 3nodding Sometimes the same, sometimes different. Excuse me for wondering, but what defines mental gender? Sorry I ask so many questions. I was born and raised in the south, so a lot of this information is unfamiliar to me. But let's see if you can teach this old-fashioned dog some new tricks. It's how you think. As an example: There is a fallen tree blocking the road. If your first thought is to get some chains out of the back of you vehicle and try to move it yourself, your mental state is more likely male, if you think to call for someone who is actually equipped to deal with it and wait for them, probably female. (And if you think to blow it up with dynamite, you're probably me.)

(And if you think to blow it up with dynamite, you're probably me.) "most likely"? Can a woman want to move the tree with their vehicle? Can a man call for someone else? Is there no definite way to know someone's mental gender? What if someone with an XY chromosome thinks very masculine, but calls themself a woman? What does that make them?

Imagine myself how? Imagine myself as each physical gender? See which one feels right to me? Does that help indicate my mental one?

That one DEFINITELY doesn't feel right. ... It's just too bad the physical world disagrees with me. As for female, it's like a... "forbidden happiness". This one feels right to me, but I can't confidently say "I'm female on the inside" when surrounded by physical females. It's hard to think of myself as one of them when I'm being out-womaned. If only I were physically female. Why couldn't we choose our sexes at birth?

Just why is that? heart Aww, wish I could give you a hug in person. whee Your personality has always struck me as female, and based on how happy you are from that, I think it's safe to say you definitely feel that way, too. As for why you are happy... Acceptance as you are is such a simple thing, but is actually not as common as you would think. Most of the world wants other people to conform to what they think is right, not see it as it already is and embrace it.

Now that you bring that up, I have something to confess, just to clear my conscience. I knew I was uncomfortable as a male be for an awful long time, but I found it irrelevant to physical biology. I may not have liked it, but I thought that's how reality works. I thought there was no use in saying I was female. I would see people calling themselves transgender, and scoff at them. I would denounce them all as foolish. I may have been in their shoes, but I thought that the truth mattered more than what made them comfortable. It was for that, that I became hated. I was known for being intolerant. But who said that being the messenger of dissent made me happy? I'm just as uncomfortable with my sex as all of the others were. I often wished I could believe what they did. So I made this thread, hoping someone would change my mind about how gender works. I know I can't be forgiven by those who I've hurt in my past. But I just want to start anew with those who I haven't hurt. I was hoping that I could accept, and be accepted back. Who knows if that'll ever happen though?
