“You said so yourself, the furry menace isn’t as bad with you as with everyone else. I will give that it won’t drag us to our watery graves, but it still is demon spawn.” Ricky scoffed. “Good genes definitely. But can it put up with your lifestyle, both business and personal? A ship full of kids running about and driving everyone crazy?” He pulled back to study Hanz, measuring him up. “The legs will have to be sturdy. Especially if you take one off to punish a kid as mule headed as their daddy.” Ricky chuckled and shrugged. “Or their momma. I should probably too put bunnies on both of them if you end up hopping after them to whack them with the other leg.”
Kissing back, the smirk on his face grew. “And I can imagine it. I make a bogus contract, have word spread that it was put out on you by someone or another you pissed off. I take you, the dangerous terror of the high seas, to the nearest port to get paid. After all, who would believe that under my devilishly good looks in a conniving mastermind? Later, in the dark of night, I sneak in, knock the guard unconscious, and break you out. As we tell the tale time and time again to our kids and grandkids, we’ll probably grossly exaggerate the story. Adding people we had to fend off. Outnumbered, yet winning in the end by some plot that shouldn’t have worked. Throw in some romance so we get everyone in the crowd with something they like.”
