Aurelia laughed and talked with him, explaining about her childhood and how she did what she did because it was opposite of everything her parents did, and it was her form of rebellion because it was dangerous, that and she was really close to her uncle, because he cared about her more. He was actually the one who had told her to leave, and given her a list of circuses that were hiring for the trapeze.
He wanted to make sure she was happy. The rest of the week went on, them talking and working like crazy. He started to show her how to be his assistant for this week's coming show as well. It was crazy, and pretty soon it was the afternoon of their opening show. She was nervous and she looked at Julian and shook her head. "I'm nervous." she said, rubbing her hands on her adorably sexy costume. It was a modest sexy though, and she liked that.Thor talked with her a while longer before excusing himself and then going to his tent. He sighed and sat down on his mattress and shook his head. He was getting in over his head. The more time he spent with her, the harder he fell for her. What was it about her that he was drawn to so much? He sighed and shook his head.
The next week was good, he talked with Raven a little more, but tried to keep himself from getting more attached, which was a helpless cause. He finally was ready to go the night of the show. He put on his new costume and ruffled his hair, it had grown out back to where it had been before she cut it. It was longer than he was used to but still not to long. It was good, so he hoped she liked it. Not that it mattered if she did or not.

The week flew by, and Julian learned a little more about Aurelia each day. She was a great partner, and he was so happy he had met her. Things were going to be perfect their opening night. He could tell she was strong mentally and physically, and that's what they needed.
As they waited to go on, Julian stood near Aurelia. When she admitted to being nervous he turned to her and frowned. "You'll be fine. I promise." He wanted to say something more encouraging, but he couldn't. As odd as it was, he had become more nervous about talking to her than he had before. When he first met her he was just excited that he had a partner. As they started to talk he gave simple answers, not wanting to talk about himself much.Raven had already changed into her red leotard, the plate spinning and sword swallowing already done. The plate spinning was always fun because it was such a simple thing, but people were always happy to see it. It helped that she usually did it while doing something else like balancing on a ball.
Heading out to where she would wait, Raven tried to figure out why Thor had become slightly distant this last week. Maybe he was just busy doing stuff to get prepared for today. That had to be it. Sighing, she sat down and relaxed on a chair. Right now the clowns were doing their thing, and she had no interest in watching them. She never did. No, she wanted to see Thor go on.

Aurelia smiled at him and nodded. "If this goes well.. you have to promise to tell me more about yourself mister secretive." she said with a frown. Then she smiled and waved as she was introduced and made a great show of climbing up the ladder. Their routine went perfectly, her trusting him completely to catch her. She did a nice little flip and landed on the net perfectly without hurting herself. She rolled off and waved to everyone and took a bow with Julian and then headed out of the show.
Once outside she jumped up and down and let out a happy yell. Then she glanced back at him and nodded. "That went perfect." she said with a happy smile. Though she knew he still wouldn't tell her more about himself. The rest of the show went great, his magic act attracting a lot of attention, and her silks also causing a rawer. After everyone was gone she was changed into a simple pair of jean shorts and a tanktop. She walked back to the party and smiled, looking around hoping to have a good time.Thor watched her act and smiled as he watched her, knowing she had done a great job. He smiled at her show and loved that she was so good at what she did. He always worried when she swallowed swords though. It worried him that she could hurt herself.
Once it was his turn he went out and did a great show of flexing his muscles and lifting things normal people couldn't, also balancing things on top of each other while he lifted them, which was even more entertaining to most people. Eventually he wanted to lift people, having the girls in the show climb and support each other while he held them up. It would be interesting.
Once the show was over he noticed a girl hanging around. He knew that Raven was never to be his, and it was getting to him tonight so he decided he didn't want to spend it alone. He walked over in his jeans and tight t-shirt. He looked her up and down and then chuckled, starting to flirt with her.

Julian smiled weakly, hoping she didn't hold him to that. He didn't want to talk about himself. Why couldn't they just work on their act? When everything was done he walked out with her and smiled. "I knew it would be fine." He excused himself and changed into his outfit for his next act, knowing it would go just as well. When he was finished he sighed happily, glad things were going better than last years opening. The first act had messed up causing many people to leave. Now that they were gone things were better.
Changing into a pair of jeans and a button up dark blue shirt meant Julian was ready for the party. He headed there once the show was totally done and grabbed a drink, sipping on it as he sat off in a corner. He liked coming to these, but he didn't talk to many people. It was still fun because he got to see people act like idiots.Raven watched Thor, smiling lightly when ever he did something. The crowd just loved him. With her acts done, she got changed into an orange and black corset with a pair of black skinny jeans. She left her hair down, hoping Thor would notice she had cut it a bit like he had said. She headed to the party, but wanted to find Thor to tell him he had done a great job. When she found him she frowned, not liking what she heard or saw. Was he really flirting with one of the audience?
Turning around, Raven stalked off toward the party and grabbed a beer. She didn't even care how it tasted because she just wanted to chug it. It was soon gone and she went over to a chair and sat in it, glaring at the bonfire someone had started. This party was stupid. Maybe she would go back to her tent. The girl stood up and started to walk back, not wanting to be near anyone.

Aurelia smiled and grabbed a drink and started to walk around. Not wanting to be around all the noise people she headed back away from the party a little when two guys who were drunk came over to her and started to mess with her. "No leave me alone." She said. She grabbed her aarm away when one of them grabbed her and she yanked away and then backed up, running into the other one. She looked slightly panicked and looked around for someone to help her.
"You... you guys better leave me alone." She said louder, closer to a yell. One of them laughed and grabbed her, pulling her closer and then pushing her towards his frend. She yelled and then looked around once again for help. The guy shoved her again but this time she fell and hit her lip on something hard, must have been a small rock because her lip started to bleed slightly. Thor glanced up in time to see Raven walking towards the party and sighed. She hadn't even noticed him standing here. What did he have to do to get her attention? Was there nothing he could do to interest her in him? He was just being a romantic idiot, and he just needed to let her go. It would never happen, so why worry about it. He sighed and looked down at the girl and leaned over to kiss her. When he did he frowned and pulled away and walked away from her.
She was already drunk, he didn't want any part of that. Drunk women always thought something was more. He grabbed a beer and started to head back to his room, noticing the girl still standing and waiting for him. He shook his head and took a big chug of his beer, not wanting her taste on his lips anymore.

Julian thought he heard a commotion from where he was, but wasn't sure. There were so many people here. He got up and started to walk around, wanting to make sure everyone was okay.Raven heard a female voice telling someone to leave her alone, and she had to check it out. When she got to the girl she saw that it was Julian's new partner, Aurelia. Picking up a part of a branch, Raven went over to the guys and hit one on the back as hard as she could. He spun around, shocked, and backed away. "She said to leave her alone. Now go!" The guys stood there for a moment, but when they were reminded of the acts Raven participated they left. Apparently her threatening them with being caught on fire was enough to make them leave.
Going over to the girl, she helped her up and shook her head. "Are you stupid? You can't just tell these guys to leave you alone. It won't happen. If I hadn't come by you'd be off somewhere having who knows what done to you. If you're going to be in this business you need to learn that jerks like that come around all the time, and they don't care what you say when you look like you're ready to cry." Raven shook her head again and started to walk away, but ran into Julian."Hey, I thought I heard something. Are you okay?""I'm fine.""Raven...I know you. You look upset.""Not know, hon." Julian was the only one she would call that, and it wasn't anything romantic. It had started as a joke and stuck. "Go check on Aurelia though." Raven walked off, knowing the girl would be fine now.Julian watched Raven go and then looked over to Aurelia. He got closer and noticed her lip was bleeding. "Oh my gosh. Come on." He took her arm and started to lead her to his tent, knowing he had some stuff to clean her lip off. "What happened?"

Aurelia pushed herself to a sitting position on the ground and then just gaped up at this other girl. "Wh... what was I supposed to do? I don't know how to fight." she said, staring at her in disbelief. This girl was blaming her for getting caught up by those guys. She couldn't believe what she was hearing. When Julian came over she let him help her up and shook her head.
"That girl was mean to me." she said, staring back in the direction she had gone. Then she glanced up at Julian and followed him. "I.. I didn't want to stay at the party because it was too noisy so I was taking my drink over here.. and these two guys came out and started to bother me... I don't even know how to fight.. what did she expect me to do? I couldn't do anything except tell them to leave me alone.. they were huge." she said, looking back up at him. "No one ever messed with me at home.. it was just understood I guess because I was the owner's daughter.. even the audience members knew that. I never had to fight before."Thor heard a commotion and started to head that way. When he heard Raven's words he stopped. That wasn't his Raven, she had been mean, and she would never normally be mean to a girl, especially one that had been getting tossed around. He frowned and followed her, catching up to her and ducking between two tents and a tree, knowing no one was in the tents around him. "What was that all about Raven?" he asked. "You normally are never mean like that.. a little bit of an attitude yes.. but mean like that. What's going on with you?" he asked, looking her over.
God she was beautiful today, not that she wasn't any other day. She had left her hair down, and was wearing a cute little outfit to entice him. Why did she always wear such tight clothes? It was like she was teasing him, knowing he couldn't have her. She had cut her hair too, and it looked beautiful, so soft and long, like he could just run his hands right though it like silk.

Julian didn't know why Raven had acted that way, but it bugged him. "She's not normally like that. I would know. I've spent enough time with her. Something must be wrong." He shook his head and opened the flap to his tent, leading her inside. He had her sit on a chair and then found his first aid kit. When he came back to her he opened it and found some alcohol pads. "This might hurt a bit." He opened one and cleaned her lip off, not liking what he saw.
"You're probably going to want to put some antibacterial medication on it. I don't know what would be okay though." Julian read some of the labels on the things in his first aid kit and then handed one to her. "This one would be harmful if it gets in your mouth. Just use it when you think you should." He knelt down and looked at her, worried about her for more than one reason. "Are you okay?"When Raven heard Thor she stopped and turned around. "What's going on with me? I'm just sick of this place! I put up with so many crappy people, helpless people, and people that are just doing stupid things. Like you. Flirting with that trashy girl. What was that about? I could smell the booze coming off of her from a mile away." She wanted to hit him. To punch him and ask him how he could be so stupid. Here she was, trying to always look nice for him, and he never made a move.
"Just leave me alone. I don't want to talk to anyone." All Raven wanted was to go to her tent and go to bed. Tonight wasn't what she thought it would be. Tonight she was going to ask him to take a walk and see if he'd want to go out to lunch somewhere around here. She had no idea where, but they'd figure it out. However, he was flirting with that girl. If he was with her tonight there was no way she wanted to ask him to lunch in the next few days.

Aurelia took the medication he offered her and held it in her hand, letting out a hiss when he put the alcohol pad on her cut lip. It stung like the devil, but she wasn't about to complain. Looking at him when he asked if she was alright. She shrugged and nodded. "I'm fine.. I'll be able to do the show tomorrow if that's what you were worried about." she admitted softly, thinking that's the only reason he might be worried about her. It wasn't like he was trying to allow her to get to know him.
"I've heard around.. your parents like her to marry you.. you like her?" she asked, glancing up at him. "Is that why you don't want to get to know me? I mean.. if that's the case I'm not going to try anything.. I don't believe in breaking up relationships." she said simply. "Just so you know."Thor looked at her and heard her snap at him. He couldn't believe her. He couldn't believe she was getting angry at him for talking to some girl. When she turned to walk away from him he grabbed her wrist gently and pulled her around to look at him. "What else would you have me to Raven?" he asked, his voice angry with her. "You torture me with your clothes and your hair and everything... you think I don't notice?! I can't help but notice." he growled.
"I can't have you but I'm a man Raven.. and as a man I have certain physical needs! I can't be celibate my whole life waiting for you to notice me.. waiting for you to decide I'm what you want." he growled to her. "You have no idea how I feel about you.. and how dare you criticize me for taking care of my own physical needs." he yelled. "Next time you try to judge me try and figure out why I never have a steady woman.. none of them are you." he growled, tossing her wrist from his hand and storming off. He would never hurt her, but he needed to get away from her and work out to keep his energy at bay. He was so angry at her. How dare she think he liked those women. They were just a means to not be lonely all the time.

"That is not why I'm asking. I want to know if you're okay. Here and here." Julian pointed to her head and then her heart. When she started to talk about Raven he sighed and then shook his head. "My parents might like her for a suitable wife, but...I've known her so long she's like a sister more than anything. We just like spending time together. It's easy to talk to her."
He stood up and put the first aid kit away, thinking as he did. "I...I have a difficult time opening up to people. That's all. Talking about myself feels strange." Julian didn't want to admit that he was also developing feelings for her. He just didn't want to get too close to her. It could make things awkward. Raven let out a little noise when he grabbed her wrist, shocked that he was being this way. He had never been anything but nice. That had to be because how she was acting though. As he spoke she froze up and didn't know how to respond. He liked her? How had she not seen that? Well, he was always pretty quiet around her. When he stormed off she stood there for a moment, holding her wrist. It didn't hurt physically. Just emotionally.
After a few minutes she started to look for him, wanting to explain herself. It would be difficult, but she had to tell him. It was the only thing that could fix this. It was after an hour that she gave up. Her head hurt, she was emotional, and she was tired. She stopped outside her tent and then turned and headed to his tent. Going inside, she went to his bed and curled up on it. He'd need to come back here eventually. It didn't take her too long to fall asleep, and she stayed curled up there.

When he told her why he was asking she nodded and sighed softly. "I'm alright.." she whispered. She looked at him and then sighed softly, not wanting to really wanting to talk about Raven. His next comment though made her think. "Oh.. I thought that's why she had been distant with me.." she said softly. "Maybe there is another reason.." she mused. "I must have done something for her to not like me.." she said.
When he mentioned what his parents wanted she nodded. "Well.. why haven't you just told them you don't view her that way?" she asked him. "And it's alright if you have a hard time opening up... but you have to be honest with me. I'm your parner.. I need to know you." she said lightly.Thor worked out for an hour and a half, until his muscles were shaking, and then he finally headed back towards his tent. He shouldn't have freaked out at her like that, he shouldn't have admitted his feelings. Hopefully she wouldn't remember in the morning. When he got to his tent and saw her there he looked at her shocked and then noticed her fast asleep in his bed.
He looked at her and shook his head. How many times had he fantasized about this, and now she was here and angry with him. He shook his head and gently lifted her and walked her to her tent and laid her down on her bed and covered her up easily. Then he walked back to his tent and pulled his clothes off except his shorts and then dropped into bed.

Julian laughed and shook his head. "No. That's just Raven. She's known people her entire life that she still doesn't seem to like." He went back to her and shrugged lightly. "Because other guys leave her alone. It doesn't bother me. It's not like I'd want to be with any of the girls here." That's when he realized what he had said. "Not including you. Not that I'm saying I want to be with you....I...I think I just need to head to bed. It's been a pretty crazy day, and tomorrow will be almost as crazy."
He went over to the door of his tent and pulled the flap back, smiling lightly. "But, I'll see you in the morning at breakfast." He was digging a hole for himself, and he didn't know if he could get out of it. "I'm sorry tonight was so rough for you. I hope tomorrow is better." Raven stirred a bit when Thor picked her up and mumbled a little. A few hours after he had put her in her bed she woke up and frowned. He had moved her. She got up and went to her clothes, putting on a night shirt and some shorts. She then went back to bed and fell asleep again.
It wasn't until the morning that she got up and got ready to go to breakfast. She changed into a grey mini skirt and green tank top before thinking about heading to Thor's tent again. She had to talk to him. When she got there she didn't know what to say. All she could think about was their fight. What if...what if he had moved her because he brought that girl to his tent? Irritated, she threw open the flap of his tent and went inside. "Thor! Are you kidding me?! You moved me to my room for what? Did you end up bringing her back here?!"

When he started to talk about not liking girls here except her she looked at him confused and shook her head. He must have just confused his words. When he wished her a good night she smiled and nodded, standing and heading back to her tent. "Yeah.. that's for the medicine.. I'll see you at breakfast." she said, walking out of the tent and walking back to her own.
She sighed and laid on her mattress with a soft sigh. She didn't have anything to put in it yet but Julian had been adamant that she needed a full-sized tent and a proper bed to put into it. She dabbed some of the medicine onto her lip and then drifted off to sleep easily.Thor slept easily, but stirred when she started yelling in his tent. He grumbled something and rubbed his face, not opening his eyes. "Who.. I didn't bring..." he blinked his eyes open and glanced at her.
He opened his eyes and blinked them a few times and then shook his head lightly. What the hell was happening. "Am I.. what the hell?" he asked, sitting up slightly. "Come on Raven.. it's still early."

Julian changed into some pajama pants and then got into bed, staring at the top of his tent. Why did she make him such a fool? It didn't matter. He rolled over and closed his eyes, falling asleep soon. When he woke up he changed into some jeans and a t-shirt, heading to breakfast. He sat out on the grass, looking off into the distance. There was a lake near by that he really wanted to visit before they left this area.
He started to think about last night and wondered if he should talk to Raven. She would listen to him about being nicer to Aurelia. Julian sighed and sipped on his juice, wondering what today would hold. If he had any sort of luck things would go fine.When she realized that he was alone she remained quiet for a moment. He hadn't brought her back. A small smile came to her face, but only for a second. "I don't care how early it is. Last night...you can't just say the things you did and then storm off. What am I suppose to do? Just stand there like a moron until you come back? Oh, and then you didn't even wake me up to talk to me. No, you carried me back to my room." Raven put her hands over her face and sighed.
"You can be such...You can be so frustrating! You're such a freaking moron!" Raven went over to his bed and grabbed his pillow, smacking him with it. "You doing something like that makes me think you brought a girl back here and don't care about our friendship. You can't flirt with girls and...you just can't."

Aurelia slept well and woke up the next morning and yawned. She got dressed in some sweats and a sweatshirt and then went to get her breakfast. She didn't want to be around everyone with a busted and swollen lip so she started to walk back to her tent when she noticed Julian.
She walked over and sat down next to him and smiled. "Morning." she said lightly. She grabbed her food and started to eat slowly. It was a little painful because of her lip, but she didn't want to make a big deal of it.Thor looked at her and grabbed the pillow when she started to hit him and tossed it away. She was so confusing. "I left so I wouldn't say something I would regret.. you know how my temper is." he grumbled, sitting up and rubbing his bare chest. He looked at her and then shook his head.
"Yes I did let you sleep.. you were pretty angry.. being mean to people.. especially that poor girl who got beat up." he said with a pointed look. "Why? Why can't I? You don't notice me.. I can't be with you.. like I said last night.. am I supposed to be alone?"
