Pakuun Wait.... wern't you one of the one's arguing against the attemptive training of newbies and introducing them into the O/M? No, I was simply stating that I think you should train them to be commanders, not soldiers

I still dislike the idea of having a hundred commanders, and no soldiers. But thank you for saying that, I misinturpretted what you had said.

Well, first off, if you're building an military force, you need soldiers. As time wears on and your soldiers get experience, you will realize that you don't need to train your commanders, for they will naturally emerge. You merely need to recognize this and recognize which soldiers are emerging to become leaders.
And as for training less experienced members in general, I think it's not really worth the effort that's put into it. We gain new members on Gaia every day, and there are plenty of people out there who are more than well enough to join these guilds, it's all just a matter of finding them.

And uh... I have a question, if you wouldn't mind answering it. If one is to have suggestions or questions as to how the guild runs or should run, or other such things, where should we present the aforementioned ideas?

I made this guild from scratch, so I missed a couple of details.

An issue i think is important, there are truely no "Offical" rules for RP'ing. These are set by the guild in question, but there is not offical one for use of warring guilds. THe AMP is the closest thing, but isnt complete.
We, being the commander of many a guild, shouuld make one. we should say rules to the tiniest detail for RP'ing on Gaia. The complete classifaction of God-moding, How posts should be laid out, ect. Also, a way to determin the winner would be very helpful. One might find it hard lose, to die, so a few rules that will allow winning woul((if there are offical rules, tell me, then void this post. I have not come across them and would be sorry for wasting your time.))d be nice.

Sounds like fun, we should brainstorm a bunch of rules up, then make more, get rid of some, and then take our time to get into each of them in detail.

I do not mean to rain on this diplomatic parade, but I believe that a certain set of armies have tried this.
:: points to the only sub-forum in the guild ::
With the amout of guilds that will be working on it this time, it may take years to make progress.
~Just for the record, I'm not against this, I'm just adding my input.

Ok, you do have a point there, but what if we use simple rules, and nothing extreme.... if any guild is against a certain rule, then it will not be instated. (Although they can be persuaded to follow the rule.) This system would work quickly.
(EX: Pakuun: No Godmodding Rest: YAY! Result: Rule made, onto the next step of getting it defined)
(EX2: Pakuun: I can kill anybody I want* (yeah, extreme example) GA: YAY VHEG: YAY GEPA: YAY The International Fleet: Um.... STFU n00b!!! Result: Shut down, either attempt to change the opinion of the the International Fleet, or stop the rule right there....)
EDIT- Opinions can simply be stated as unchanged within a day if nothing is resolved, therefore allowing us to continue
*This does not actually display the opinion of Pakuun, and instead is only used to serve as an example.

Works for me. I have an idea that would help to speed up the progress of it tremendously however.
First off, you buy a subforum, and name it, and all that good stuff. Make an announcement within that states the articles that will be addressed, and allow for others to suggest new ones. For each article proposed, create a new thread, and have a vote at the top for whether it is believed to be acceptable or not, and suggestions for how it may be improved may also be listed and discussed there. The voting options should likely consist of a "yay!", "needs improvement", and "nay!". In each of these threads debate may follow as explained in the example above.
This way, multiple articles may be decided at the same time, and we won't have to wait for articles 1-14 to be decided before mentioning something on article 15 which you may be interested in.
