Yayyy! This could be one of our funnest mini-plots!
What do you think, Mist? I think out of everyone in the room you'd be very good at organizing this especially with your experience in the Cafe RP thread. Sachie Whitby Since we all know that guests just love hanging out in the main room far more than any of the others, I would like Dracula's subplot to be something that will encourage guests to venture out and check out all other rooms. Because really, Dracula is always recruiting humans in one way or another either to become the vampires or do his bidding. #1 -- He wants to learn the wear about of Mina and his enemies. Sadly Mina isn't around, but he won't immediately know that as he's not going room-to-room looking for her. Once guests start reporting back that they cannot find Mina anywhere but that murdering b*****d [Van Helsing] is lurking about elsewhere, Dracula will then start recruiting guests to go over there and try to thwart whatever he's up to. #2 -- Dracula will recruit guests into vampires. It might be funny to have a vampire brides beauty pageant, but there would be timing issues with actually running it due to my work hours... plus Dracula wouldn't actually do the dirty work of hosting a beauty pageant himself as that's peasant work. Quote: Both of those ideas are just superb <3 I don't know if I'd be up for a beauty pageant but that sounds like something a drunken Aramis might do? Great idea! Aramis [while drunk] can be all hey, Dracula's not about at the moment and he's recruited all these brides. Let's have a vampire brides beauty pageant. It would also give drunk Aramis something "productive" to do while Dorian is in sulking, leave me alone while I'm sitting in my chair over here.

I like the idea of the Beast being emotional and lashing out, but what if instead of destroying everything in sight (because that sounds like a lot of 'clean up'*) he disappears and goes into other rooms and the guests need to find him?
Earlier I had the thought that if the Beast were to be 'recruited' by Dorian into trying to find a way to stay that the Beast might end up getting frustrated/annoyed and letting his beast side take over and in his anger go into other rooms anyways. If it's okay with the other room hosts this could even be a part of their room plots if only to spice things up a bit.
What do you think of that?
(* by clean up I mean both literally cleaning up IC, righting up tables and replacing torn curtains and such, which is never fun in the middle of a party and would probably just make Dorian really, really angry, and also convincing guests to move on after they get confused or fixated. Last year during the high adventure room we had a similar situation where the room was a mess and people seemed more interested in noting the mess than realizing that the plot was moving on... xD )

Epcot Illuminations At some point, I want Beast to get annoyed with the other characters so much he can't stand being anywhere near them. They try to recruit him to help them with stuff, and he instead ruins the plan or surprise on purpose, eventually trying to lock them behind the bar but fails. this pisses him off so he goes onto a rampage pretty much destroying anything in sight

Organizing? I have no idea how i am at that and in the cafe thread everything is freestyle no organizing at all. I can hold a beauty contest but its gonna be for all the ladies. Do make sure no guest to the room feels forced to turn into vampires not everyone likes them or being one, besides Aramis is a holy man so should he try to attack Dracula at times? (and maybe other vampires?)

If you and Sachie agree that it would be entertaining for Aramis to attack Dracula from time to time but I would arrange it before hand either through PMs or in this thread so that it doesn't get confused or carried away, just in case (:
It could be entertaining for Aramis to have commentary about his feelings about Dracula even if they aren't fighting, too.
And anyways, when I mentioned the Cafe RP it was mostly because you have the experience with the casual RP and keeping a plot relatively on track so it would be a good asset in trying to get guests to participate in a beauty pageant. You can restrict it to ladies if you like but only so long as you are polite about it for anyone else who may have wanted to enter (:

I'm trying to listen to the part of the book where Cathrine is still alive as many times as I can before the ball, and it reminded me that Catherine was a very bratty trouble maker when she was younger.
Maybe She could hid something important to one of the characters and the guests can help the character find it? Or any other kind of mischief anyone think might be interesting.

Exactly! Haha. I think that there is a lot of opportunity for some entertaining banter between Dracula and Aramis and even behind one another's backs.

I can't remember if it was in the book (I am still in the process of re-reading my copy) but in the movie Dorian had a key that he wore as a necklace. Not sure that would be a good idea though because he nearly broke a boy's wrist just for touching it. I'm sure we could think of something like maybe his cane?
She could do this to any of the hosts all weekend long if you wanted to.

I'm sure many opportunities to cause trouble will present themselves as the ball goes on~
I had a couple questions, though I'm not sure if this is the place to ask. One, are our characters allowed to read through the stories of the other characters in the room? We could find out info to understand them better (or use against them). Two, will guests come into the room acting like characters from our books? I'm not really sure how to react if someone decides to be Heathcliff or someone else from the story ;x

You've got great ideas, I like them biggrin
The beauty pageant should be in the thread in the roleplay, yes, but since it's going to just be a fun thing to do on the side of the main plot there won't be prizes besides bragging rights. Sounds like Catherine and Tink might sabotage it anywho.
