It was covered with bottles and plants. He'd seen a couple of them before... Ya! The potion and antidote were given to him when he came to the academy! However, his biggest smile came when he saw Hana sitting in the front row. He happily and quickly sat beside her, setting claffa down on the table. " Hey Hana," He said. " If you're in any pain, just let cleffa know," He patted his pinky pokemon. " Cleffa's heal pulse can help. It's really the reason I traded one of my pokemon to get it." He talked about it lightly, as if trading wasn't something personal. " Looks like we'll finally figure out what some of those things are," He pointed out. " You got a couple of them too, right? It'd be nice to finally know what they do!"

The soft sound of chalk being set down and aside echoed from the front of the room. "Okay class," Annie put on a smile for her students. "Today is one of those days that's exciting and dreadful all at once! We'll be going over the various known remedies for pokemon. Man made and herbal cures will be covered--meaning that we'll also briefly go over berries. Next class, we'll have a quiz on what we've learned up 'till now. I would highly recommend grabbing a student taking survival training to study with, since our next few lessons will cross over when covering berries." Yet another reminder to look for a replacement for Antonio Reyes. Annie just wanted to get rid of that rumor before it spread--maybe make up some cover telling for it.
"You'll notice that, when you entered the school, you were given a few select things from here," She said, keeping up her smile as she lifted to present several pieces. "Oran berry, potion, antidote... These are healing agents for your pokemon. But let's keep it simple and start with our man made items here," She walked around to the front of her desk. "The potion is a trainer's most basic tool when traveling. You can imagine that you'll travel long spells of time without coming across a pokemon center, and will have to make due with your own know how." She pulled a thin piece of plastic from the spray handle. "The first thing to know is that all bottles of any sort have a small stopper to prevent them from accidentally going off in your bag. I could tell stories of how panic stricken some trainers were, thinking it was jammed or a dud when their pokemon needed it!" She said, doing her best to chuckle at it.
"Potions are a direct spray. Use it directly on a wound or swollen spot to help your pokemon recover its strength and speed up healing," She spritzed it. "Now, this purple colored one is pretty weak, comparatively, it's pretty basic," She set it down, going in order of her presentation. "A super potion will be more red looking, and it's a little bit stronger. A pink color is a hyper potion, and even better than before. Then you have your max potion: this blue colored, block looking one is the most rapidly healing one to be produced. Well, outside of the full restore--but we'll go over that a little later." She set down the last potion, reaching over for the first of the status remedies. "Like the potions, status ailment cures will be color coated according to what they do. The orange tinted one might look familiar, since it was given to each of you. This is an antidote. Now... it used to be that you had to get the pokemon to swallow this--when I was a kid--but these days it gets absorbed through the skin. And as you can guess, an antidote cures a poisoned pokemon.
In your battle classes, you have or will be going over status ailments and how to identify them. Whether it's poison," She reached for the nest one, "Or paralysis. Light yellow is our paralyze heal. Green is the burn heal, and red-pink for the ice heal. So far it's pretty self explanatory. Awakening is a less direct title, but it falls fair with what it does: wakes a sleeping pokemon; sleep powder, hypnosis, rest... Unnatural sleep." She set aside the things she'd already shown, and bringing up her final two man made pieces. "This gold colored bottle is a full heal, which covers a broad spectrum of status ailments. Having the same shape as the other ailment cures, it's easy to tell apart from a full restore--this green block looking one. Now, a full restore will differ in that it not only heals a broad spectrum of ailments, but also heals injuries like a max potion. Ideally, this would be the thing to keep a stock of. But costs call for the variety of potions and cures here." [all students gain: +1 potion +1 super potion +1 hyper potion +1 max potion +1 antidote +1 par heal +1 burn heal +1 ice heal +1 awakening +1 full heal +1 full rest]
