"I know." He said, smiling at his mistress's pleasure. "I'm afraid taht I'm going to have to ask you to order for me, Milady. I haven't the vaguest idea what anything on the menu is. I've come here before because the make excellent tea, but never ordered any food." Drallen sat back in his chair and watched his mistress peruse the menu with an expert's eye.

"No problem."
Nori looked over the menu thoroughly at everything from drinks to desserts before she signaled a waitress over.
"Hi. Um, I'd like to try the large five alarm soup special with the finger sandwhich sidedish. And my..uh...Drallen would like some cajun style mussels with black pepper, spicy tuna, and the small jumbalaya side dish."
She glanced over at Drallen to see if he had any objections.
"And could we please have a cherry spritzer for myself and a dry martini, shaken not stirred, for him?"
Nori couldn't help but smile, she was having a lot of fun already and couldn't wait to see how the rest of the night would go.

"Thank you, Milady. However I would like to request an iced tea, sweetned rather than a martini. Forgive me, Milady but I have had some....bad experiences with spirits and am unable to indulge in them myself." Drallen smiled slightly.
He sat across from his mistress, for the first time looking her over. After a while he realized he was day-dreaming about her but could not bring himself out of such pleasant thoughts until the food came. He tried to politely eat but the food was so good that he practically inhaled it. He looked up at his mistress again.
"Thank you for such good food, mistress." He said, sitting back, sated. "I can't wait to taste your cooking." As he was talking, his foot brushed gently against her bare leg and he froze. She was a sweet mistress so far but if she thought he was trying to come onto her...

((Sorry for the delay, I actually went to a party ))
Nori smiled, perfectly satisfied with her order and happy to be spending time with Drallen.
"I should be thanking you, it was your idea."
She took a sip of her beverage, barely noticing the small event under the table.
"You'll have many days to see if my cooking is to your liking; I cook nearly everyday and there's always something in the fridge."
Setting her glass back down, Nori continued with her meal. She wasn't a slower eater but she couldn't possibly match Drallen in speed eating.

Drallen let relief wash over him. She hadn't noticed! He took the time while she finished her meal to lean back and think about what was going to happen in his life now. He sipped at his iced tea and closed his eyes, savoring the early evening air.

((Gomen Nasai, I had internet issues, dysfunctional wireless card scream ))
A small "clink" was heard as Nori's fork touched and rested on the plate for the final time. She had finished her meal [with a small bit left on the plate, to be ladylike] and was now dabbing at her mouth. As she set the table napkin back down on the table, Nori took note of the time and nudged Drallen slightly with a tap on the arm.
"We've been for a walk and out to dinner. Are you ready to go home or would you like us to stay out a while longer?"
Full and happy, Nori was up for anything, although she secretly wished she had a tv at home so they could watch the movie channel when they got there.

Tetsu blinked hard against the bright light of the outside world. He had been inside that cage for so long, he had almost forgotten the feel of the sun, the sound of the birds. He looked at the rolling feilds of grass and the the shimmering leaves of the oaks and he sighed contnetedly as he fell upon the ground, his eyes looking up into the sky as he stretched his limbs all at the same time for the first time in years. He was out!

Kiara sat on the grass next to Tetsu. He seemed so happy. She was glad she had listened to her instincts, even if she thought it was silly. He just seemed so happy right then. She tapped him on the shoulder, and asked in the usual quiet tone. "Did they not let you out much when you were at the slave market?"

Tetsu looks over his shoulder and shook his head. "
"Nope. Most slave got to go out at least once a week but I was lucky if I got to go out once a month." He smiled and did a cart wheel on the green lawn, and then feel onto his back, feeling the cool grass under him and sighing contentedly.

Kiara couldn't help but laugh when he did a cart wheel, such childlike happiness from such a small act. She lied back on the grass and was looking at clouds, not really thinking. "Tetsu... would it be rude to ask why you're attatched to your cage? You don't have to answer if you don't want to."

Tetsu looked away from the clouds and blue sky and turned to lay his eyes on her and he shrugged shaking his shaggy head. "I don't mind" He said proping himself onto one elbow. "You see, the cage is a symbol of my hatred for the whole slavery system and of my imprsonment. But" He said raisng a fingure "I was also my protector from the lashes and fists that would have flown my way. i know that sounds corny but." He shrugged "That's the truth of it. Plus when you have something like that part of your life for so long, it kinda becomes part of your life." He grinned sheepishly at her "I sound rather stupid don't i Mistress?"

Kiara thought for a moment. "... Actually... no, it doesn't sound stupid... it actually makes a lot of sense..." She looked at him and smiled. "It's kind of ironic... the thing that held you captive... was also your protector..." She looked down at the ground and played with a blade of grass, deep in thought.

Tetsu was silent for a moment as he looked her over, noting for the first time that she was cute. His lip twitched into a small smile as he continiued to study her and after a moment shrugged "Yeah it is ironic but whatever." He put his hands behind his head and looked up once more to the heavens.
"So mistress what kind of jobs will i be engaging in once we reach your house?"

Kiare stopped fiddling with the grass. Is he expecting me to put him to work? She thought this over for a minute. Within the time she had been talking to him, she had completely forgotten he was a slave, and people used slaves to actually do things. She wondered over the fact of what would happen if she treated him like a human being, and decided to just tell the truth. "Actually... I don't really have any jobs for you... I take pretty good care of the house by myself, and I don't really like forcing people to do things... so, there isn't much for you to do... just keep me company, I guess..." She trailed off.

Looked up for a moment and blinked sevral times in disbelief. Nothing, that can't be right Tetsu throught. Surly he was needed to do something. He lifted himself back up and looked at her, a small smile on his face. "I see, well then I was trained to be a breeder and bodyguard so I guess I can keep you company then." He smiled broader at her. "Infact I would like to keep you company mistress." He bowed his head at her and thought to himself again about how cute she was and how he was going to like all this. This was deffinatly a step up in the world.
