Location: Everfree Lake."Interesting..." Sunny said to herself as the pegasus said that his ability came from a curse. "The ability to project fear into others while remaining completely calm. Is it that you are naturally fearful and the curse merely allows you to transfer it into others..? Or perhaps the curse just emanates a fear inducing arua around you..." Sunny pondered to herself aloud as she seemed somewhat fascinated by this strange ability. But then her attention was turned to the other two unicorn present after they'd given their names. "Oh, please forgive our rudness; my name is Sonya Dayeh, though most in Ponyville know me as Sunny." Name: Xue Qichen
Location: Everfree Lake.The 'dragon' took the moment to give a polite bow, all the while keeping an eye on the other three. After the bow, he returned to a somewhat relaxed state with his hands crossed over his chest. The rattling noise had quieted down some, but there were still a few shudders here or there. "Xue Qichen, but just call me Chen..." Chen's brow furrowed a little bit as Midnight called him a dragon, not once, but four times; his lengthy tail twitching slightly like you would expect to see on an agitated cat. "That may be because I am not a dragon, I am a Lóng." He watched quietly as the two sisters had their little interaction before Starlit said he had a nice mane. He gave a light nod of the head, calming down some. "Thank you."

 Dark Lightning Location: The everfree forest lake. "I fear nothing...you are searching for the artifact of this forest are you not?" He said looking toward Sonyah. "I shall retrieve it." He said as he spread his huge wings and flew over the lake.

Location: In the Everfree Forest."Then my apologies for making inaccurate assumptions, Chen." Midnight said, smiling and offering a hoof to shake. The name sounded mildly familiar, but she decided against speaking further on his species for fear of severely offending them. She and Starlit watched as the as of yet unnamed pegasus flew over the lake. "Midnight, should we be getting home?" Starlit asked. She glanced around at the others and lowered her voice to a whisper. "That Barghest is going to wake up soon." she quietly. "No, we're okay, the sun's not down yet." Midnight replied, not bothering to lower her voice as she watched. "Besides, he ate before he went to sleep and he's slow to wake up anyway, he'll be slower without his stomach urging him on. I want to see what this artifact is if it's important enough for someone to stand watch rather than simply hiding it." She said, sitting on the bank.

Location: Everfree Lake.Was about to retort when the unknown pegasus said that he feared nothing, but suddenly perked up as she hears him talk about an artifact. "Very well then..." She said as she trotted over to one of the lichen covered boulders and idly took a seat as she waited. Name: Xue Qichen
Location: Everfree Lake.Chen opted to stand as he waited for his elder sister to be finished with what she wanted to do here. As he heard Midnight apologize over calling him, a dragon; Chen looked over and gave a light shrug. "It's not as though I don't looking like one... An honest mistake, don't worry about it."

Dark Lightning Location: The everfree forest lake. As Dark floated there you could see Dark tendrils of pure fear come off him and the spot where his cutie mark would be and shoot down into the water and it made a splash int he water then tugged hard and straight from his body as if the fear grabbed onto something. He then flew up bringing something up as the water bubble. The ground shook as a giant sphere start to lift from the water and it looked like it was made of water but instead of blue it was silver and the fear was wrapped around it bringing it up to the surface of the water. He dragged it to the bank of the lake and dropped it before them.

Location: In the Everfree Forest.Midnight sat watching as Starlit fretted. As the orb landed before them, she tilted her head, looking at it curiously. "Alright, so what is it?" She asked. "He's going to wake up and go on a rampage and make it into Ponyville and-" Starlit was muttering to herself. Midnight shushed her absently. No matter how many times it happened without incident, Starlit got worried any time their home was left unsupervised near sundown.

Location: Everfree Lake.As the strange pegasus retrieved the 'artifact', Sunny let out a surprised gasp at the sight of it. "Remarkable... I was merely looking for some random objects; perhaps a tool or piece of architecture to suggest that the Everfree was once inhabited. I never expected to come across something like this..." The unicorn mare said aloud, talking more to herself than to anypony in particular. She circled around the strange sphere of living metal, studying it thoroughly. "Simply fascinating..." Name: Xue Qichen
Location: Everfree Lake."If you don't know what it is..." Chen spoke up, looking otherwise unimpressed. "Then why are you guarding it-?"

Location: In the Everfree Forest.Midnight stared. "It doesn't look like any kind of egg. Or at least none that I've ever seen." She said. "The closest possibly being a Wyvern's, but they aren't quite so round or so white, though I suppose the marbling's somewhat similar...hmmm... Perhaps it is the tool of an oracle?" She questioned, looking around for the others' suggestions on what the strange object may be.

Location: Everfree Lake.Sunny continued to pace about the sphere, examining and inspecting the peculiar object every which way she could; after what seemed like an eternity, she finally took a few steps back towards the rest of the group. "Remarkable..." She exclaimed, simply awestruck. "It looks as though it were a sphere of liquid metal, the marbling isn't a pattern as much as it is ripples across the surface; like one would expect to see when a pebble is dropped into a pool of water. But what is causing the ripples, I've no idea. It's not responding to our voices, and interaction with the environment isn't what is causing it... Observe." With that, Sunny walked up to the sphere and gave it a very solid poke with her hoof, despite the water like surface of ripples and waves; the object acted as though a solid and made a clacking sound upon contact. No ripples happened upon contact, the waves that existed seeming unaffected at all. Name: Xue Qichen
Location: Everfree Lake.Chen tensed a bit as he watched Sunny touch an object that nobody seemed to know anything about. "Yeah... Let's avoid needlessly touching something we have no idea about; it could suck you in and spit out your bones in a second flat for all we know."

Dark Lightning Location: The everfree forest lake. "The only thing i remember being told was...that it held immense power and that it was not to fall into the wrong hooves. I believe the mare who told me that...she had a dark color on her mane and it shimmered in the moonlight." He said trying to piece together his memories.

Location: In the Everfree Forest."Sounds an awful lot like Princess Luna." Midnight said for really no reason. She doubted the others were dense enough to not pick that up. She stood then with a sigh. "Alright then, I'd best be off. You lot are welcome to come along if you'd like, and if not, it was nice to meet you all and have fun with your strange sphere. You can bet it's safe from someone wandering upon it in here." She said, stretching a tad before setting off at a brisk trot. Starlit followed after her at a kind of run, her sister's long legs quickly gaining ground ahead of her. "It's about time." She said as she went. "You're cutting it close tonight!" Midnight rolled her eyes. "Oh, pish-posh. We're just-" It was then a strange, warbling howl was heard. "Fine! See? He's just waking up!" She said, picking up her pace.

Location: Everfree Lake."Nooo..." Chen protested, giving her 'big sister' a serious look. Sunny, however; was not listening as she trotted off after Midnight and Starlit. "They live here, and despite my best attempts Zecora refuses to reveal the location of the ruins. This could be my opportunity." Sunny said before catching up to the to other unicorns. "If the two of you do not mind, I would like to follow along; there are a few questions I would like to ask you."Chen let out a disgruntled sigh and crossed his arms as he took off to the skies; keeping a wary eye out on the path ahead. "Why do I even bother?"
