Keine smile as Hanalli took the stage with Sorina's help. The teacher stood silently, enjoying both the storytelling, and the joy the villagers seemed to have in the youkai's prescence.

When Nahumar spoke, quietly but of her small condition which she had lacked the bravery to expose to many, she looked worriedly sideways to the youkai of fear who only grinned. She relaxed; these trio wasn't here to cause trouble. The teacher then responded,"I am honored to be trusted like I am Mr.Nahumar."

"Past? " She rarely asked about the past. The past was history, something she could arrange with her fingertips. "Ah, I think I head some of it.... But Hanalli never quite went into details. I never wished to pry; someone's story is their own after all." It did make the were-hakutaku curious though. A piece of history that avoided her. How odd.

Nahumar simply nodded as his gaze return to Hanalli talking and explaining more.
"...As my sister and I battled near the mountain, my brother came charging in and making it a brawl. The on lookers were excited...."

When time changed from light to dark, The three emotions were treated to stay for a short while at Keine's home. Even if Hanalli's power was returning slowly. Her body now half as bright.
"Nahumar, Sorina. Thanks for watching over me again. It was fun to see you in that Yukata, Nahumar." she smiled so brightly. Nahumar, who changed back to his normal attire and look, did not react to well.
"My strength is returning. I think I can make it on my own here-" Sorina then interrupted her.
"Sorry Hanalli...but Nahumar and I want to talk more about us to your friend. She was very influential to your arrival here...and it's only fair if she knows a bit of history that only the three of us still hold onto this day." Nahumar opened his eyes. They shifted to a yellow tint. Hanalli didn't like the past, even to the point of forcing her to frown with such sorrow. Not an effect caused by Sorina.
"Must we?" Hanalli asked Nahumar.
"Yes." Nahumar tailed his eyes from Hanalli to Sorina and to Keine.
A past filled with dread, pain, and worst of all...hate.
"Hanalli must of already explained where we came from and how we were once called Deities. However, there is more.
In the outside world, there were four of us. Hanalli, Sorina, Myself, and Anera...Deity of Rage. When we lived back then, we were each given the same amount of respect. We all did what we had to as we watched over them."
Sorina then took the next part.
"You see...back then, Humans were still young and the four of us managed their use of the emotions. However, Anera despised humans more than any being could think of. She hated humans so much, she wanted them to all die out. Her rage manipulation was far too strong. Letting her own power fill her head. She was a problem..."
"She always watched the humans. She hated how they treated other creatures. She hated how they acted like they were the best. However, one day...an ambassador from another city asked for an alliance with the people we watched under. The leader denied his proposal... Then in an act of self defense, they killed the ambassador before he drew his sword to kill the king. This point, Anera was outraged. Over the next week, she was quiet and never showed herself..." Nahumar looked over to Hanalli. He wanted her to tell the biggest part of the story more than anyone.
"One day...Anera started to slaughter all the hu- living things in our city. Male, Female, child, elder....even animals and anything that was considered a living being. She decimated the houses. She burnt the whole city to the ground. And yet, she seemed happy for the first time in her life..." Hanalli struggled to say the next line.
"So...we fought our own 'sibling' for what seemed like days. Nahumar, at the time, wanted to end it for good and used his power to impale and divide her energy in three sections. We took a part of Anera and consumed her right then...Thus ending the emotion of pure rage. Now, there is rage of all kinds, but it is now useless for humans to have even when they are born." Sorina sat next to Hanalli, keeping her from even shedding a single tear. Nahumar ended it with more information.
"So you see. We use to be at a point in our life when we were gods. It ended with the civilization being wiped clean from the planet and cost us a sibling...then she came. A woman with an umbrella and power over the gaps. Unlike any other being, she found me and told me of a place that she would take part in making. What makes the encounter weirder...was I was actually scared of this woman. She could gaze at my true image and never flinch at it." A short telling of how they came.

"Ah," The Were-hakutaku nodded, remembering every detail. At the mention of the "lady with umbrella" and of "gaps" the teacher sighed.

"That would be Miss Yakumo Yukari, a Border Youkai of sorts. She is well known for her strenght and her nack for causing incidents... or being involved in them. Many fear her, and many revere her." Keine nodded to the three youkai, "The reason she does not fear you, Mr Nahumar, would be because of her age, and the fact she has seen many things we will never see as humans and lower youkai."

Hanalli then pushed Sorina and Nahumar out of the door.
"Okay! Thanks for coming you two! I am fine and full of energy so yeah!" and she shut the door on them. She took a deep breath and turned to Keine.
"Okay Keine. Now that they are gone, let's turn back to what we should be doing." Hanalli sat back at the table to talk with her.
"The second day of the festival should go off without no more problems, that i can assure you. So...here." Hanalli pulled a small wall oval mirror with gold border and two small rubies on the top out for her.
"I want to see what the Mirror would show you. I want to see what makes you the happiest in the world. I never did see you in the line due to the wait. So maybe i could get your reflection of inner joy now before it's too late?" she held the mirror up to Keine. Her reflection was crystal clear. When she looked hard enough, Keine would see what made her most happy in life...

"I had not gotten close, ... I am curious.... I will admit," Keine looked into the mirror curiusly at first, before focusing on it a bit more. In it she saw the village, peaceful and undisrupted. Youkai and humans alike, at ease by each other. She saw the children of her school grown, and Mokou taking better care of herself. she did not seem to shy from the were-beast she was, and in fact, she saw herself happy with the 'curse' she had earned in her years.

Her happiness derived from those around her.

Once the reflection showed her what she would be happy to see, the teacher shook her head to uncloud her head, and smiled. "It would be scary to have your happiness exposed if it was something as vexed..."

Hanalli removed the mirror. She smiled greatly over her words and her own aura.
"Of course. The real reason I wanted to show you it was to remind you. The mirror reminds those it reflects what makes them most happy in existence. There is no real power behind it or from me. That power...was from you." Hanalli placed her hands together on the table.
"Joy is given by a show of actions or affection from one entity to another. A cat eating some fish a fisherman caught would make it happy. A boy catching a ball thrown by his father would make the boy happy. Happiness is not created, it is shared. Much like the humans call it 'Generosity' or 'Humanity', happiness comes in many forms. When you cry, when you laugh and when you are frightened." Hanalli then chuckled.
"And just by seeing a familiar face again after so long...I already feel the Happiness you are giving me." Hanalli grinned as she spoke. Even telling Keine the secret to where happiness comes from caused her to tear a bit in her joy.
Nahumar feeds off the fear a human produces.
Sorina feeds off the sorrow brought out from a crying being.
Hanalli does not feed. She instead spreads it.
However, the night would approach fast and Hanalli would not realize it. She was having fun talking to Keine. And hopefully, she would meet others.

Keine smiled just from listening. She sat at the table again, resting her cheek on her hand, and elbow on the table; she always liked to learn new things. Noticing the night crawling upon them, the teacher wished to share some of her own secrets of trade with Hanalli. Their luck, mere upon fortune, reminded akeine that the third day of the festival would be a full moon.

The moon would crown the end of the feast of the celebration of the Youkai of Joy, and also be the toughest day for the teacher, as work tended to stack on the full moon night. "Joy is spread and shared, it seems right for something as pure as the emotion itself," Keine sighed with a smile.

Hanalli nodded. She looked out the window at the moon. To her it was a let down.
"Well, bedtime for you. I'll be around the city. The act of sleep is something I do not have access to unlike Nahumar. So don't be tired tomorrow!" She said, almost hopping out of the door and waving goodbye.
Hanalli would indeed stay up at night, seeing the city in darkness and the stalls set up for tomorrow already built. It made her heart flutter just seeing it. Though it has happened before.
"To think I use to be as close to the gods as possible when It came to watching over humans. Overtime, they had no need for gods to cradle them. Humans have been able to build such large structures in days. They can do things that Youkai and other creatures are unable to surpass. They are capable of harnessing magic if they study and attack with such speed like a cheetah. Humans have outgrown the need for gods and rather want the gods to just watch them..." Hanalli then started to act out a scenario to herself just for laughs. Making one hand puppet a human and the other an image of a goddess.
"Look look goddess! We made vegetables!"
"I see, Human. You did very well."
"Aw, it was nothing. Try one!"
"MMM. They are very good."
from how she acted, the goddess was like a mother as the human was the child. She laughed like a young mother after seeing their child do something foolish or funny. She sounded much older than usual. It faded into the night, soothing the residents of the village who all were sleeping.

---------
As the night changed to day, the early bird villagers woke up and started their usual day. The stalls were planned to open later this evening. Hanalli descended from the sky and on the main stage. The villagers who passed her greeted her a good morning as she sat on the stage. She smelled the morning air, exhaling it with a smile.
"Ah the morning. My favorite time of day." She narrated. Hanalli plucked a dandelion growing between the cracks of the stone street from the corner of her eyes. She nibbled on the small pedals, watching the sky and waiting for the sun to fully appear beyond the horizon.

Keine snickered,"Alright alright! I shall go to sleep." The were-beast stood and watch Hanalli leave. The teacher did go to bed, she would gather all her energy for the last day of the festival.

---
The next morning Keine awoke early as usual, dressed, had breakfast and went out. As she expected Hanalli was on the stage, greeting the villagers. "Good morning miss Hanalli," The teacher smiled.

Hanalli wanted to leap off her seat and just tackle the teacher in joy. However, she had to keep herself civil for the time. So she waved to her.
For Hanalli, she had the opportunity to watch kids play and men work. Soon enough...she started to feel like the old times. Hanalli decided to slip away and look around the village. She enjoyed seeing the people go about their day. It made her feel warm. To her, she didn't want to be treated as a higher up anymore. Hanalli soon looked inside a small shop with various clothing.
"Welcome. Does anything catch your eye?" A woman asked. Hanalli looked at the various dresses and blouses for sale.
"They do! All of them look so colorful!" she commented. The woman blinked then realized who it was.
"O-oh! It's you! The Youkai of Joy! Oh this must be good fortune indeed!" Hanalli felt a bit startled by her realization.
"Yeah...well I came by to see what was going on. Thanks!" Hanalli quickly skipped out of the store and back to roaming the city.
She thought about visiting Keine if she was teaching a class soon. Possibly surprise them.
