~About twelve, Sunday Episode 2~
Takeshi spent most of the evening after his shopping trip with his sister organizing his newly acquired equipment along with the rest of his government issue. He even came across something that had been merely glanced over in his cover story. A bottle of pills, his assumed prescription for his assumed illness. They were sugar pills*. After all it wasn’t like he actually needed any prescription to keep him healthy, which made him wonder why he had been ordered to take the pills three times a day without fail starting on Monday. Still orders were orders and without hesitation he tucked the bottle into his school bag with the rest of his supplies. The rest of the night was uneventful and that incident free time lasted until about noon the next day when his phone began playing the theme from Card Captor Sakura. Takeshi was a bit concerned as he had turned the phone to vibrate just yesterday until he heard Miku’s harmonious laughter.
He checked the message before anything else and spoke as he spent nearly a minute memorizing the boy in the photo’s face, “Miku, I need you to trace the target’s location based on the photograph. Also try and keep an eye on the target in case he moves before I can get to him." After that scrutinizing minute he stood without a sound to prepare for his mission proper. He was quick to change into something a bit more casual than he was used to, if only to keep from raising suspicions simply from the manner of his dress. Of course while he was not in a suit and tie, no one would argue that he was quite sharply dressed. One must keep up the appearance of being the son of a successful businessman. One thing was out of place though as he still managed to keep his combat knife attached to his ankle perfectly hidden. It would have been irresponsible to leave the base without a weapon of some kind and for all of Miku’s pleas that he not take a weapon all her begging accomplished was that he wouldn’t take a gun or grenades. “Okay, Ta-kun I’m glad we reached this compromise, but you aren’t planning on anything that might be against your orders. Are you?” Takeshi opened his phone and made a pantomime of talking on it as he walked out the door and answered simply, “I’m just going to observe him. He won’t even know I’m there, even if he does see me.” This last comment confused Miku to no end, how could Ta-kun be seen by the target and still not be seen? It was a question that would soon be answered with actions rather than words. Still she felt at ease that he wouldn't disobey the general so without another word she sent him the information he asked for in the form of a text ushered in by the unmistakable tones of Barbie Girl.
(( *Now this is a fun and exciting bit… I just have no idea whether the pills are sugar pills now and will become something in the future or if they are something else right now… and will become experimental surgery in the future… YAY! ))
