Kuyote the Fool
KUNG FUN
First I will assure you my friend that I have let go of arrogance, ego, and pride a long time ago.Plus i'm not saying that I'm "enlightened"or that no one else is.I'm saying that is it very common that people do not express themselves while fighting and that it is COMMONLY taken as just weapon or the thing I COMMONLY hear the most...self defense. And that my friend, isn't just the point of martial arts. And like I said,People only are thinking of technique and have lost the true meaning meaning of expressing themselves(btw I'm really trying to make sure you understand what I'm saying)therefore they are showing me only technique and not themselves.Think about it like this.On this show called the voice...their was this guy who sanged opera so well, but when he sang you could tell it was all technique even two of the judges (Christina Agr-something and Cee-Lo green)saw this problem and they said it was beautiful but he had no emotional content or any meaning in his performance. So this is kind of the exact problem I see in martial arts. And if you need more explaining ill be glad to help because basically Reis Kensukei explained it all.I find it funny that he was able to understand what I'm saying. Its as if my insignificant words truly went to his heart and not his mind.I didn't even rephrase or anything to him and he still understood.Perhaps I am talking to a exact demonstration of what I'm trying to say.And when I say be LIGHT,I'm saying that not only you should be light on your feet but I'm saying you should lift yourself from that heavy boulder that represents the technique and not be overwhelmed by it.But rather be light and pure to yourself when fighting.BUT don't get me wrong you do need technique but however don't let it be the heavy boulder that stops you from truly being yourself. In other words be earnest.I don't mean heavy weight or light weight or anything like that. And plus btw that's one of the reasons I can tell that you seem like a great example for what I'm saying.Your mind is only thinking about this in ways of physical and a technique way.But you have to look hard my friend, to find something in a dark tunnel...
I would also love to hear anything else you have that is against my concept.

Maybe humor passes you by, but okay..I was making a joke about the heavy-weight thing, not being serious. Why so serious? razz
However, you are still basically saying that people who don't embrace your philosophy are wrong. You may say you're not, but you still go on to saying that your way is right. I still cannot respect that because you're saying other people who do not follow your philosophy aren't as good as they could be. Besides, your philosophy is yours, I personally embrace my pride and competitive nature while also maintaining a humble demeanor. Having pride or ego is not a bad thing, maybe it's you who should be more open-minded rather than disregarding such things and considering yourself above it or something. Still, this is how you come off to me. So allow me to educate you, not all martial arts are all mystical like you seem to believe, okay? Some are used just as weapons, no more, no less. So there is nothing wrong with not seeing martial arts as something spiritual and all about inner peace. If you wanna get into that stuff, there's Tai Chi for you. Other than that, you take whatever you want from it and practice it however you want, but do not say others are lacking for not having the emotional connection with it like you do.
Reis Kensukei
I do not see this man as offensive one bit. Rather, I find you guys to be ignorant to the question before you. He wants an equal and prideful fight. He sees martial art's as a way of fighting and seeking personal gain and ambition as a means to show himself. Its a means of spiritual guidance and all arts represent it in some way of what they believe. And Also, he isnt saying that people are not as "enlightened" as him. He's stating that he's sad that people have lost their touch and feeling for the art. Now its just become a tool of fighting. Solely, a reliable weapon.
Wait..He said he abandoned pride, yet you said he sees it as prideful..It seems you missed the point as well. Besides, as I pointed out before, you guys need to lay off the Eastern mysticism, not all martial arts are about spiritual enlightenment and emotional discovery or anything like that, there's nothing wrong with using it solely as a weapon, means of self-defense, or for sport.
