((D: Family fights?))
Cherrypaw looked to Skylight just nodding as she moved away from the queen who had just woken up and hiss quietly. The apprentice quickly slipped out of the nursey and began towards the elder's den ignoring they're complains about how their bones ached and how they had fleas. She knew that Barkstar would have her check their pelts later on but for now she was just changing the bedding.

A white paw forward, then a brown, followed by another white, and another brown. Light pads tapped the ground as silent as ever. Whiskers on a short muzzle twitched as a mouth was agape smelling the air. Ah the smell of the clan. To other's it might be a horrible scent, but growing up you found it better then everything else. At least it wasn't the scent of crow-food. No, now that was was nasty. Then again anyone who compared Shadowclan to crow-food deserved to have their tongue ripped out. Bright jade colored eyes were glancing around. White blotched Soulpaw was standing there, watching as Cherrypaw went towards the Elder's den. Trotting off she followed. "My mentor isn't back yet from patrol so, I'll help you Cherrypaw." Those soulful eyes showed concern. Concern for Cherrypaw, and possible concern for her mentor who should've been back by now. Hadn't anyone remembered the two-legs and their traps. Near the two-leg place just off the territory.

Cherrypaw looked over her shoulder at Soulpaw, "Thank you." She meowed pulling the bedding into a ball the best she could before picking it up and taking it out of the elder's den. She ignored how the elders were telling stories to some of the young kits about her father, keeping quiet trying not to look scared as her father was mentioned.

Soulpaw wasn't to happy with the elders at the moment. They should know how much it bugged Cherrypaw to hear her father being spoken of. Lips twitched as she could feel her temper starting to raise. Though, she tried hard to control it, since there were indeed kits there. Not wanting to anger her leader, she did the same as Cherrypaw. Bundling up the bedding she took it out, padding after her friend. Well, she considered friend. Finding the area in which the 'trash' goes. She dropped it and sat, licking her paws to clean behind her ears, her extra clawed toe helping to scratch a bit. She was starting to feel itchy. "We should check the elders for ticks. I'm itchy~" She hated being itchy.

"They all do some more annoyed then they normally do. I guess we should." She meowed trying to shake the memory of her father from her mind as she dropped the bedding ball before kneading the ground infornt of her as she stretched out. "Is you're mentor still asleep?" She asked turning her gaze to Soulpaw.

((is the ceremony going to be soon, where Skylight becomes Cherrypaw's new mentor?))
"If you're itchy, it could be because you have fleas; those are nastier than ticks when it comes to multiplying. Tick-bites will hurt when you try to scratch them. Take care of the pests before going back. Here," Gooseberry pushed forward some moss filled with mouse-bile with a quick, precise paw. His nose didn't wrinkle like it should; that was because he had gotten used to the scent, and at this point he had no need to stay in its preseance for very long. "Wash yourselves in the rivers, and not with your tongue!" He added, before whisking away to check on the queens. He had to make sure Nightcloud was getting the nutrition she'd need to feed her kits. His grey and white fur disappearing behind the brambles. His whiskers blew gently in the warm winds on his way over. He poked his head into the nursery, and upon seeing she was asleep, went right back out and left to gather more borage.

Finishing scratching in seconds, ears pricked forward at Cherrypaw's question. Her mentor? Well how was the apprentice supposed to explain this one. While it seemed every cat in the four clans was having issues with cats either getting sick or dissappearing, Soulpaw had no clue how to answer. There was a dread feeling looming within her double edged mind. Giant razor sharp curved claws racked at the back of her mind, threatening her sanity. She chose the less painful side at the moment. "I haven't seen him since before he woke me before the day-star was up." That was when her thoughts in general were broken up at the smooth voice of Gooseberry. Eyes lit up at the sight of the medicine cat. There was always admiration for the cat. Being able to remember all the different things that help other things. That and his ability to stay calm even in bad situations. Mewing a thanks, she took the bile and clipped the moss with her talon like claws. Trotting off on three limbs to the small screek running just a bit ahead, since it went through to the river. Managing on her own, she twitched at a slight sting. Was it supposed to sting? No matter. Afterward, remembering the warning, she washed up in the river. She hated every second of being in that water.

((Soon xD Let him enjoy his time with the kits.))
Cherrypaw stayed where she was waiting for Soulpaw to return so they could take the new beddings to the elders. Rolling it into a ball then picking it up in her mouth knowing that the sun was almost high. "Weird, Maybe you should check on him to make sure his not sick?" She suggested calmly.

Washed off and dried from the already warm sun, and shaking, Soulpaw padded off after Cherrypaw. Picking up a new ball of bedding, she too went off towards the Elders den. Mouth full of soft moss, the young she-cat had a hard time talking. "Yef I knof. Zank loaf fur remindif me." Technically that was a, 'Yes I know. Thank you for reminding me.' Kind of hard to understand her like that.

((It's not like he can do much with them at this point lol They don't open their eyes until two weeks after birth, and don't start crawling/talking and such until their fourth week.))
He wasn't nearly done telling the Clan about his kits, but he realized he was irritating even the more patient cats, and he apologized swiftly, his fur ruffled in embarassment. He blinked as the sun began to dip below the horizon, painting the camp in an orange-red hue. "I wonder if Nightcloud's up..." Shaking out his silver-ticked fur, he hustled out of the company of his Clanmates in exchange for his queen. Poking his head into the nursery, he nearly fell backwards when a warm giggle echoed in the close, earthen walls. It was darker than usual, and it had been silent for so long that a simple noise could startle him. "Nice job giving me a heart attack!" Skylight sighed, wriggling through the tight entrance. "Sorry, dear." She purred, rubbing her head against his lovingly when he pushed himself through the brambles. He settled down beside her, and their tails reached over the huddled kits to twine together. "I knew it wouldn't be long until you weaseled your way back." "What do you mean?" "Instead of going on a patrol...?" She raised her furred brow and let her voice trail off, grinning when his eyes widened. "Hey! I'm not shirking my duties! I'm just proud of my family!" "Suuuure you are." "I am!" "Prove it." "How? I love my family with all the breath in my body, the smiles and the tears of all my life. I will love you all my life and when I die, I will still love you through eternity and beyond. You could put all the hearts together in the world and that still wouldn't describe how much I love you; my family." "Alright, alright. I didn't ask for a sonata." "What's a sonata?" "Never mind," She laughed, and shook her head. They lay there, then. The silence only broken with the gentle purrs of the parents, and the suckles of their kits as they tried to slake their insatiable thirsts.

((Ahh alright.))
Barkstar jumped onto the branch above his den, since they had used it for many clan meetings. "Let every cat old enough to catch they're own prey, gather beneath the hazel branch for a clan meeting!" He called over watching a few warriors appearing from the warriors den then some apprentice's slip over.
Cherrypaw turned her head hearing barkstar's call before putting the ball of moss infornt of the elders den then nudged Soulpaw. "We can do it after the meeting." She mewed. "I'm sure the elders won't mind."

Setting the moss down, Soulpaw hurried to scuttle after Cherrypaw. Being nudged she padded to the group of cats waiting for the clan meeting to start. Sitting on her haunches she looked up at Barkstar, the powerful leader of the clan. Looking to the side of her vision, she formed her maw into a smile while looking at Cherrypaw.

Barkstar watched as the cats gathered before looking to the nursey then to the crowd beneath him again. "As you all know, one of our warriors died half a moon ago." He meowed avoiding the name of the cat who had killed crimsonfang knowing Cherrypaw didn't want to hear it. He watched her flintch moving away from the crowd to sit next to soulpaw, most likely not liking how the crowd spoke of her father. "But we must not leave an apprentice untrained." He becokened cherrypaw forward with his tail, watching her slowly make her way up onto the branch after him. "Cherrypaw, I assign you a new Mentor." He silenced the clans meows of disappoval and confusion with a glare. "Skylight, You will mentor Cherrypaw from now on."

Nightcloud's ears twitched at Barkstar's call, and she nuzzled her mate. "I don't want to go." He mumbled, still a little tired. "I think you do; we'll be fine. I know you'll want to be at this gathering; just trust me." When he did scramble out, she grinned and curled back up, nuzzling her kits gently. Skylight yawned, stretching out lazily in the golden haze before padding to sit behind the large group of cats. His expression went from inquisitive, to hard, to confused. His fur bristled as his name was called, and he shyly stepped forward to touch noses with the small apprentice. "Don't think I'll go easy on you!..." When he saw her sullen muzzle, he tilted his head. "Cheer up, I'm not that bad." He grinned, whiskers quivering with amusement.

Cherrypaw looked up at the tom before nodding at what he said, "I wouldn't want you to go easy on me anyways." She meowed a glimpse of pride in her eyes before touching nose with her mentor as barkstar dismiss the clan meeting.
