The moment Nyx went after Liruna was when she countered by letting a burst of bright blue flames appear around her body to ward him off, or catch him and engulf him in the heat. However, she didn't see Lexis, and took the lighting, and the spear. Yet... it failed to pierce her scales, but easily drove her back with the force and harmed her with the element. She winced from the hit, but once she reopened her eyes, oh, she was mad... she gripped the spear, and immediately breathed flames right at Lexis from such close range, then moved herself away from the spear's point, and then made a few claw swipes right at her face. Afterwards, she continued to attack viciously with physical attacks, not giving her a chance to retaliate or recover.
(( I'm hoping there can be a set-up for Eric to help out or something... ))

  She takes the long way home fighting her emotions

xxxxMaybe she needed to be wanted Lexis shut her eyes as the fire engulfed her. Her body naturally began fighting off the heat, though even with her magical reinforcement it still began to hurt. Lexis was left to hold on to her spear as Nyx cried out and backed off of Liruna, not fond of the fire-spitting demon. She should have expected so. She turned her face away as Liruna's claws got the side of her head, drawing blood. A few hits, and Lexis merely let go of the spear. She shifted halfway through her fall into her black wolf form, mostly to make herself land on her feet. Her paws hit the ground first, but still took the impact of the landing, causing her legs to give momentarily and her to fall. She cursed in her head, unable to stand back up until her muscles recovered again from the shock of the high drop. Nyx was already circling to dive back to his master, but even he wouldn't be fast enough to get to Lexis.((Not sure how much of a set up it is, but it's what I could muster))

Liruna hissed when Lexis fell, and dove down at her, but with seeing Nyx again, she went after him instead, and spat more flames at him to drive him off. Then, with Nyx too far, she went after Lexis again, diving right at her, claws aimed.
That was when someone else jumped in. Some young man dressed in a Mahora uniform rushed in and managed to get Lexis out of the way, all while leaving behind a small glowing magic orb where she was before. It was with perfect timing so that Liruna was unable to steer away, and couldn't pull up. On top of that, it wasn't just an orb, but a magic 'grenade' so to speak. It exploded with magic energy and caught Liruna in it. Sending her sprawling.
"You alright?" The young man asked, acting rather 'calm and cool'. Apparently he was watching the whole fight from afar....
Liruna slowly stood up and staggered a bit, Damn it... what just happened? "You..." she hissed, before backing off. She knew this was a battle she couldn't win, not with someone else helping... "I'll be back... to finish you..."

xxxxMaybe she needed to be wanted Lexis huffed, before shifting back into human form and finally being able to push herself back into a standing position. Nyx landed behind her after Liruna was gone. She glanced at the boy who had jumped in and broken the fight, then nodded. "I'm fine. Few injuries, nothing serious." She said, also confirming it to herself. She'd had worse. Thinking for a moment, she continued. "Thank you for the assistance." She said formally. There was no...really sincerity in her thank you, but the fact she said it, at least it was better than her usual brush off and walk away like it didn't matter. Lexis didn't feel much like fighting in the first place, so she was merely grateful the fight wouldn't continue.

"You're welcome. Though, you were a bit lucky I was around and saw what was going on. I wasn't even sure how much longer that would have gone on." Eric answered, nodding back. He was a little relieved she wasn't hurt too much, and looked over to Nyx... heh.. what an odd animal. Looks a little cool though. "Well, this was a rather interesting first day..." he commented with a light chuckle, "I am Eric. Eric Halrai. May I ask your name, miss?"

xxxxMaybe she needed to be wanted "I'm sure. I'm usually never caught off guard like that, but shifting mid-air was a bad idea." She said, sighing. She pat Nyx's head once, and it shut its eyes as it disappeared, summoned away. The illusion barrier Toshi had planted finally faded away too, bringing Eric and Lexis back out into the open. She looked at Eric as he introduced himself. "Lexis Hiro. Security here on campus." She explained bluntly, nodding.

Eric seemed to smile again, though it was rather hard to see. "Ah, that must be quite a job with demons like that around this place. Though, someone's got to do it, right?" He commented, and then took a moment to look at his ring. "...If you ever need assistance, you can always ask me... I may be a student, but I've got much more experience than one would think..."

xxxxMaybe she needed to be wanted Lexis looked at Eric again, before nodding. "Understood. hopefully that assistance won't be needed again." She said plainly. Perhaps she should summon Toshi back? No, it wasn't necessary. Toshi was likely already fuming from having to be sent away so hastily. Not that he could go against her orders though. His rank didn't allow that. Both literally, and in wolf terms. "But I'll keep it in mind should we ever require more assistance." She finally said.

Eric seemed to chuckle. Well, this conversation was rather short sweet and to the point... "I'll be seeing you around then... maybe..." he nodded back and then walked off looking towards the sky as he went.
For some odd reason... something was whispering to him as he stared on as he walked... that she... no...maybe its just the memory loss ******** with me... there's no way she's... heh... how silly.

After having left the World Tree, Mamoru had wandered searching for something. He didn't have a club once again and he didn't feel like going back to the dorm right now. He felt better having talked with Kuro a little and Neko afterwards, however as his wandering brought him back towards the library island he still had that voice in the back of his head reminding him what happened. He let out a sigh as he wandered off to the side, near the lower area outside the Library Island near the water surrounding it. He wouldn't dare go back in there, maybe he'd check up on Friday sometime if she was still there. Problem would be finding her, maybe find that wolf fellow.
As Mamoru wandered around near the waters of Library Island he found a familiar face and the person who he was actually looking for. Mamoru slowly approached Aoi who seemed to be staring off into the water in her own thoughts. "Hey. Something ... bothering you too?" He asked as he walked up beside her. Well he had an easier time talking to her at least, or him in Mamorus eyes still.

 Aoi had already been near the library, merely sort of staring into the distance. She wasn't sure what she was looking at. But with the odd things she'd noticed since morning, she needed to go somewhere to think. Since there weren't a lot of students wandering here, this was the place. She adjusted her coat against the cold as she turned her head, spotting Mamoru when he half-heartedly greeted her. She nodded to him. "Afternoon." Mamoru set his bag down as he looked at her tilting his head a little. Not sure? Hm. That wasn't the response he was expecting. Mamoru turned and looked out at the water as well. "Wanna ... um talk?" Mamoru rubbed the back of his head a little, well it was still kind of awkward to start a conversation but well lately he was starting to do it a little more. "Was it something with that girl from earlier?" That was ... rather odd, that girl in class. Maybe that was bothering her? Then again he wasn't too sure what and if anything else happened. "Ah ... Sorry I guess it's not my business." Mamoru felt concerned but at the same time it was awkward to try and get it out.

Aoi sighed. "Maybe...she was rather forward. Not that I find it odd. But she only spoke to me. And...she smelled off." Aoi said, shaking her head some. She glanced at him, then looked back to the distance. "That's fine. You'll find I don't hide much from people. I don't see a lot of point in it, unless it's truly personal." There wasn't much point to her saying that other than to explain her position on the whole matter of personal information. Mamoru nodded his head lightly. "It was kinda weird. She knew your name too. Maybe it wasn't anything though, but Aoi sensed something so that probably wasn't the case. Mamoru turned back to look at Aoi as he seemed to grow more awkward at her question. "Uh .... actually I was kind of looking for you." Mamoru hesitated a little. What was he going to bring up? He had been looking for Aoi to seek out help or advice following what happened in the library but he also was looking for information about what he talked with Neko about. "You um ... wouldn't happen to know anything about glamor spells or whatever would you? For like ... features?" Mamoru asked, lightly pointing to his head. They both knew well enough what he was referring to. For now he'd bring that up, he'd ... hold off on bringing up about Friday and Hermes, but he still needed to talk about that.
