ROBINRobin was panting hard. She was trying to catch her breath, but the harder she tried, the more she panicked. She was afraid to move. She couldn't see anything. She couldn't see if there were more zombies in the area. She couldn't hear anything that sounded like a zombie, but she was afraid. After much effort, she was finally able to force herself to move. She crawled on her hands and knees, reaching out into the darkness until she found what felt like a tree trunk, and leaned her back against it. Suddenly, unable to hold it anymore, she burst into tears.

ROBINAfter a while, Robin finally stopped crying. She wiped her face, and her eyes felt swollen. She had a pounding headache. She was sick of being alone. All she wanted right now was to be home, with her dad. But that was impossible. She stood, and gathered her composure before heading off to find Mag. [Exit Robin to the Commons]

ROBINRobin walked down to her favorite spot down by the river. The first things she noticed was that the body of the walker that had attacked her was gone. Some other survivors must have found it and gotten rid of it. She was glad she wouldn't have it near her when she walked over to the water's edge and sat down but when she was closer, she noticed there was still a distinct stain on the rocks where the body had been. Robin closed her eyes, memories swimming back to her from the night before. The zombie pulled on her arm, drawing Robin closer to it... opened it's rotting mouth... A shiver rolled up Robin's spine. She couldn't describe how she was feeling right now. She kind of felt as if she should be regretful that she came down here by herself, but she didn't. She didn't really feel anything. She kind of felt like it was bound to happen sooner or later, and her fate was already sealed. Why fight it? She looked down at her left arm, and rolled up her shirt sleeve. She had managed to cover her arm for the day, so nobody noticed the long scratches the zombie had left on her arm. On her knuckles was the distinct crescent shaped pattern of teeth marks. She was lucky, in a small way, that the zombie hadn't bit off her fingers. She wouldn't have been able to conceal an injury like that. But looking down at her hand now, she knew she hadn't really escaped damage completely. Around the bite mark, her skin had dried, blackened, and was peeling away from it as the flesh died. The veins in her arms had blackened as they filled with the poison, and she knew it was spreading. She could feel it inside of her, making her shiver and sweat at the same time and she felt so tired, like the infection fed on every bit of energy she had left. She looked down at the gun at her side, and lifted it into her lap with her only good hand. She held the gun between her knees as she attached the silencer. She should have double thanked the girl for providing a silencer. Now she wouldn't have to worry about attracting zombies to the camp site. It was getting harder for her to breath, so she couldn't waste anymore time. Robin dragged herself from the shore, and sat in the shallow water in the river. She didn't want to make more of a mess than necessary and the river would wash away most of the gruesome evidence. She rolled back until she was laying on the rocks that lined the bottom of the river. The cool water gently spilled over her like a bath. It was actually kind of relaxing. In another life, she would have to remember to come here again. By now, her left arm was completely dead, so she heaved it up onto her chest so when her body was found, they would see her injuries and understand why she did what she did. She took the gun and pressed it to the side of her head. She didn't want anyone to think she was simply committing suicide, because she couldn't cope in this new world. She could taste blood in her mouth, and coughed as she began to choke on it. "I'm... sorry... Mag..." She muttered softly. She closed her eyes, and pulled the trigger. ROBIN, DEAD.

Cray
He reached the corpse of Robin he had found earlier, upset that such a thing happened. He already had his outburst of extreme rage at the zombies when he FIRST found her however. At this point he was more worried about Mag, he was not sure how she would take this, but he knew it wouldn't be good. "I'm... I'm sorry..."

MAGMag ran down the rocky path leading to the river. She didn't know what to expect when she reached the river so when she saw Robin's little body in the river, she stopped in her tracks and wouldn't go any further. "Robin..." Her legs went weak, and she fell to her knees. She didn't want to look at Cray, or at Robin's body. She felt like her heart turned into a big chunk of lead, and weighed down her chest. [Edited]

Cray
Cray had no idea what to say. I mean, he was upset too, but looked on the verge of suicidal... "Uhm... I'm very sorry... If you want, we could still give her a burial or something... " He leaned down to be even with Mag. He didn't know any way to properly comfort her.

MAGMag was finally able to summon the strength to move closer to Robin's body. She kneeled in the water beside her sister's corpse, and was instantly soaked from the waist down. She looked down at her sister, she looked so frail. The force of the bullet had blown a chunk of Robin's skull off, so Mag turned Robin's head so she could just see the prettier side of her face. As she inspected Robin's corpse, Mag noticed the scratches and bite marks on her left arm. "Aw, Robin... she didn't even tell me... She was infected..." Mag turned to face Cray and shook her head. "No... it's ok... Robin always hated funerals. They're too sad." She looked one last at her sister then stood up, and took Cray's hand and lifted him up as well. "Let's just... send her on her way, down the river. If she didn't want to tell anyone she was sick, then she wouldn't want all the attention of a burial... and all that stuff..." [Edited]

Cray
He nodded silently. "Right... look, if you need anything..." He stood aside, letting her put Robin in the river herself. It was her sister after all, she should be able to give her this, the closest thing to a funeral that Robin would have wanted. World, I'm getting the feeling that you hate anyone who contacts me. Please stop killing them.

MAGMag grabbed Robin's body by the arms, and dragged her out to the middle of the river where it was deeper. The water came up to Mag's chest, but she needed to be sure that her sister's body wouldn't catch on some rocks in some embarrassing fashion. She leaned into her sister, holding her close for a few moments and whispered something to her, then she let go and let Robin float down the river. Mag watched until the body disappeared in the current then, reluctantly, Mag stumbled back to shore. Her clothes were soaked, which made the trek even more difficult because they weighed her down. When she reached the shore, she walked past Cray and went directly to her tent. [Exit Mag to Residential Area]

Sacha had watched as Mag and Cray mourned and dealt with the now deceased Robin. Sacha should have felt at least some form of regret, or at least guilt for handing the girl the gun. But she didn't. Seeing the infected arm, Sacha knew it had to be done, lest Mag or someone else have to put her out when she became one of the walking dead. The entire scene did hold a pang of misery, however, and Sacha did feel a hint of sadness within herself. She knew how Mag felt, losing what little she had of her family. Out of respect, Sacha would not spread any word of Robbin's condition prior to her taking her own life. Sacha found the girl to have been quite noble in preventing what could have been a much more dangerous, and painful outcome. Once Cray and Mag departed, Sacha wandered down to the rivers edge, watching the girl's body drift away. Once the deceased Robbin had vanished down the river's torrent, Sacha would retrieve her G18 and return to the Commons. [Exit Sacha to Commons]
