The stern face of Veronica became neutral and disappointed. Why is he smiling to me like this? …He looks way too…happy! ...This is not my brother, he is weak! I laid a hand on him and nothing... He’s dealing with a human... My brother was a proud vampire. Not that…soft vampire! Veronica bowed to Erick. "It's not worth it. I took you for someone else. Sorry for slapping you Mr. Elder. On this, I’m gonna leave while I can still take advantage of your gratitude for letting me live." She dared to take a down looking air on Erick. Now she was the only one to hold the reputation of Donovans. He was no longer worthy to bear that name and be her brother. Once she was convinced that her brother had not been released, she would keep expecting, surrounding herself with lots of corpses. She left the room, closing the door behind her. The vampire walked into the bar and no one saw that she took a new bottle of vodka from behind the bar. She went into the living room. She was now on the hunt and her target was already decided. She took a handsome young man’s arm, a human one. It was not long before they went up to Veronica's room. Just before closing the door and locking it, Vero took care into putting a ''Do not disturb’’ sign on which she had laid a black print kiss of her lips, as black was the color of her lipstick.

In this room, alcohol was flowing and so were clothes. Veronica was now in a little dark lingerie and the man she had brought with her still had his pants on. The man was sitting in the middle of the couch, head pending over the couch’s back, arms along the back of the couch and legs wide open. Veronica had her knees on both sides of the left leg of the man and she was drinking his blood without restraint. Soon, the man would lose consciousness due to the lack of blood, but Veronica was not yet done with him...

His sleep was silent and profound. A rest into eternal darkness, just like what he lived in… Though, the soft whisper that came to him through the silence felt like a peek of light and thus, the man slowly opened his eyes, as if he hadn’t been in that deep of a sleep. Just…slowly and calmly did he awake, like most days. Soon noticing the artificial, low light that came from the night table, the vampire moaned a slight complaint. He knew he was bound to wake, now. Chasing the sleepiness away with a single yawn, Esteban sat up in his bed and stared before him. He remained this way, until Elizabeth came to set his gown at the bed’s edge. To her words, he simply nodded, and once the young lady was off to the living room, the vampire slid out of bed and put the black silk gown on, tying it loosely around his waist. Elizabeth had every right to avoid staying in his bedroom when he just woke, as most of the time; Esteban was indeed naked under those light sheets of his. Thing was, he liked the feeling of his soft, dark red sheets on his bare body…silk, there again. Then making his way to the bathroom, the vampire didn’t care to close the door completely that he just let the gown slide off his body and into the shower he went, under the hot water. Closing his eyes and appreciating the sensation of the warm liquid streaming on his skin, it was only a short moment later that he started washing himself. Once his showering done, the man got out of the shower and reached out towards the towel he just knew he’d find there, so he didn’t even bother looking beforehand, and he dried himself off with it. Keeping the towel pending off each side of his neck afterwards, Esteban took a few steps towards the gown he’d left to the floor earlier and he simply held his hand out above it, having the neck of the clothing come into his grasp. Telekinesis was his thing. He didn’t mind putting the gown back on; he knew the floor was flawlessly clean…all thanks to Elizabeth. Walking out of the bathroom, the vampire turned left and opened the wardrobe that was there, picking out a sachet of blood that was on a shelf. Making his way over to the mini bar counter, he just grabbed a glass into which to pour the red liquid in after having ripped the sachet open with his teeth. Taking a few mouthfuls in and down his throat, the vampire ended up frowning. He wasn’t up for blood out of a mere sachet it seemed… Shifting his red hues towards Elizabeth that was nearby, sweeping, Esteban silently came over to the human lady and, as she was by the large window, he effortlessly pinned her against the cold glass and, after brushing his lips mildly on her delicate neck’s skin, he bare his fangs and dug them gently but firmly into Elizabeth’s flesh, soon feeding off her. He didn’t press his body to hers, nor did his hands trail on her curves…he simply fed, taking in this blood that he knew all so well.

Malcolm certainly didn't like the look he was receiving from Veronica. She was angry.. With him, with the Elder, or just angry in general, that was hard to say. Whatever was pissing her off, though, she was taking it out on anyone around her, which just happened to be he and the male vampire. Where was his bag? Damn, he left it at the bar counter, didn't he? If things got out of hand, he at least wanted his weapons there to protect him. While the woman talked, Malcolm's eyes searched the room. It didn't take long to see his bag had been put down by the door. Who had brought it in, he wondered..?
Looking at Veronica, and then to Erick, he tried to think of a strategy to get to his bag before they noticed. Was there even a strategy to make that possible? He had to try something.. That's when he caught sight of the woman slapping the other man. Was she just asking for death? He couldn't let that distract him.. He needed his--Wait! Did she just say he wasn't a real vampire slayer?! "Not a real slayer?! Bring my bag over here, and I'll show you what this man can do!"
Sh*t. Why can't I keep my mouth shut?!
Now he was the one who was just asking for death. Why was he acting like such an idiot tonight?? It had to be the scotch, right?

When Malcolm snapped out of his thoughts, he was startled--and admittedly frightened--to see Veronica standing closer to him. Damn it! He pissed her off with that threat, didn't he? He didn't have his weapons, and she was going to kill him. He blew it!
Everything that came next all happened so fast, though. First, he found himself almost choking on his own hat, then she grabbed the arm she'd already done enough damage to. What was she going to--AH, FU*K! What would have been a loud grunt and groan was muffled by the hat in the hunter's mouth. As soon as his arm was released, he took it back, putting his unharmed hand on his newly fixed--and pulsing in pain--shoulder.

Once Malcolm's mind had cleared enough, he could half-listen to the conversation going on. While he did, he pulled his hat out of his mouth and coughed just a bit. At least she spared me enough by not jamming it down my throat.. he thought with much sarcasm. His arm was sore.. but he could move it now, at least. Looking at his hat, he scowled as he pat the wrinkles out of it and replaced it on his head, where it belonged.
If all of this wasn't crazy enough, now he was learning that these two were apparently siblings. That could explain some things.. Or maybe they weren't, seeing how the woman spoke before leaving. This was all confusing.. but he didn't care. Siblings or not, that wasn't what he worried about in the least.

Malcolm had had enough by then. He was starting to think he wasn't brought there to be killed, oddly enough, so why was he even there anymore? Rising from the couch, the hunter moved past the Elder and picked his bag up by the door. He didn't run. Just.. walked at a quick pace. Instead of challenging the vampire, something only a real drunk would do, he turned straight to the door. He acted as if he thought the Elder would just.. let him leave.. Hey, maybe he would. That was a small chance that only the scotch in his system was letting him take. He'd had enough of all of this. He had to sleep off the alcohol so he could get back to finding a worthy vampire to take his request.

The rain has moved on...

...And left a new day...

She sat there for a moment staring at her glass. she sipped it quietly as she turned back to scannign through the crowd.
The female vampire might have thought no one noticed, but Sage did. when it came to vodka, Sage noticed anything. she was quite pissed at this and asked the bar tender if they had anymore of the drink. the bartender looked and shook his head. the only stuff they had left was to be added to blood.
Sage groaned." my vodka" she mumured patheticlly, pretending to feel loss for the drink.
she drank much slower now, forcing herself not to drink what she had left in a rush, she sat adn thought fora moment. pondering. if she were Jonas where would she be.... probably with whats-her-face... well she'd have to0 actually attempt to look soon...

...Nothing seems to move....

Everything is still.....

Elizabeth had just cleared the bar and she had passed the brush on the pool table. Esteban was a pool addict so the pool table had to be flawless when he had an urge to play. She had replaced the little pot of blue chalk that was already quite worn. She also cleaned the lamps there were over the pool table and cleaned the sticks as well. She had swept all around the pool table and was now standing closer to the window. She was so concentrated into the household that she did not notice Esteban going to the mini bar. She became aware of his presence when he looked into her eyes with his piercing gaze and she only had the time to notice it, just before to see only the void. She dropped the broom that made a dull sound at its contact with the ground. Elizabeth never knew when he would want to drink of her blood. She was always ready to render service to him, him who had saved her life. She was not afraid of Esteban and since that famous night, she was entirely devoted to him, so much that sometimes she even called him ‘master’. For Elizabeth, the fact that Esteban nourished himself with her own blood was a compliment and the best compliment ever, from a vampire. She thought that he was being sweet during such an act, an act that could be so cruel and bloody otherwise. When she felt the lips of Esteban on her neck, the human moved her hair away a bit and tilted her head a little to the opposite side from where the vampire wanted to feed. Finally he bit her; Elizabeth was starting to take a liking into these bites. Though, she still was just as surprised when feeling her master’s fangs. Her palms to the cold glass, she closed her eyes. She loved this; it was clear and she was getting caught up into her own game. Esteban was more kind to her than with anyone else, but she still felt like he was using her. Yet, she was devoted body and soul, so he didn’t need to force it onto her... When he had finished feeding, Elizabeth felt a small amount of blood flowing on either side of her neck, she stood there a moment, eyes glazed and fixing the city. Again he had fed without showing the slightest sign of affection. She had to pull herself together when she felt her legs tremble a little. If Esteban came to notice, he wouldn’t drink her blood as often. She walked swiftly towards the bathroom. She closed the heat and she opened the door with a vague wave of the hand and sat down on the floor, her back to the bath. She closed her eyes immediately. She had to get herself together and immediately. As her eyes were closed, she did not notice that the bathroom’s door was not completely closed.

Erick’s beaming smile lasted just until his younger sister closed the private room’s door behind her. Then, his smile faded… His expression probably even became stern. He knew what Veronica’s neutral and disappointed look had meant… She thought of him as a weakling, now. What…she’d expected him to go ahead and kill this human, or even discipline her for that slap? First off, Malcolm had poked his interest and second, he couldn’t allow himself killing anyone anymore. If they were to hear about anything of the sort over in Transylvania…the people who had punished him five centuries ago most likely wouldn’t be as merciful this time. Either way, it still unpleased Erick to have his sister thinking so low of him…if she was to push it in that way, he’d probably get pissed off and…well we don’t want that happening. Lucky he couldn’t read minds, as hearing such a thing as his being worthy of their family name no more would’ve been unbearably offending.

Well, Malcolm’s arm was back to normal, though it probably was still sore… All the Elder could’ve heard about the man’s complaints when the dark haired girl had fixed his arm had been his muffled grunt and groaning. Such a shame…but it was for the best. Such sounds could’ve enticed any vampire around to come and see, and it could’ve caused some commotion that Veronica had been brilliant enough to avoid by shoving that hat of his into the man’s mouth to keep him as quiet as possible. Though, now that the vampiresse was gone and his arm was fixed…it appeared as the human thought he could just…leave. Erick still was holding some kind of a severe expression as, when Malcolm picked his bag up, the vampire stood. The human male didn’t have the time to even lay a single finger on the door’s knob that the Elder appeared right before his very face, between the man and the door. He’d used his vampire speed… It seemed like a good thing though, how the vampire’s stern expression slowly shifted to a calmer one. A small smile even appeared. Erick spoke calmly when saying:
“What had you think I was Done?” at the ‘done’ though, the vampire gave a push on the human’s chest and Malcolm went flying backwards and fell seated on the couch -- though with the impact the couch itself fell backwards. Walking over to the couch, Erick bent to lay his hands on the furniture’s seat, on each side of Malcolm’s legs that kinda were in the air, and the vampire pushed downwards, having the couch take its normal position back. That done, the human was seated back onto it and since Erick still had his arms stretched out and hands on the seat on either side of Malcolm, their face were…quite close from one another. The vampire grinned. “You smell scotch…”; he stated, remaining in the same position for a second, until he leaned in some and went to lick Malcolm’s right side of neck. “I like scotch~” he whispered, somewhat warmly, understating that if he was to feed on the man now, he’d probably taste the liquor in his blood and enjoy it. He brushed his fangs on the male’s skin and then said, in the same tone: “I doubt you are foolish enough to come into such a place just to swing your vampire slayer bag along with you and take out a gun to an Elder’s face on the grounds that he joked about feeding off children’s blood… You’re not here to slay us; that artillery is just for your own protection…am I correct? …Then…why are you here?” At the end of that, Erick grazed one of his fangs onto the human’s skin, just enough to have a mere thread of fresh blood stream out, which the vampire licked slowly, tasting the male's vital liquid.

Ian pursed his lips, waiting for an answer as he was about to knock again before hearing Aimay's voice. His lips quirking into a little smirk shaking his head with what she had called out to him. It was now like his constant tease for her, since he made such a blunder those couple times. Though, even being a blunder, it was a fun little blunder, since he had gotten to see his beautiful mistress clad in nothing, he got to see her beautiful body and herself as she was wholly uncovered. Also though, the few times he had come in where she was with some man to suit her fancy, he didn't so much enjoy that. But of course that aside, and the little lingering jealousy since well he wasn't one of those men that were in her bed, all that aside Aimay was justified in calling the male in her affectionate terms, her favorite little perv. It did get a chuckle out of him, seeing as he hardly minded the nickname.

He came in and stood a short quick moment to gaze over at Aimay before he went to his business, fixing her bed, making it back to it's perfection until she'd lay in it again. Glancing briefly over to her as she spoke, he nodded in understanding about being ready at any moment, but that he was free for the time being for his own means. "Thank you...mistress...and I understand...I will be ready." Having finished fairly quick with the bed, he would go to cleaning up anything else in her room while she was out. Nipping his bottom lip a little at her mentioning what she would bring him for breakfast, the type it was just delicious, though Ian couldn't really decide a definite favorite in type, he had odd moments where his tastes wanted something in particular. But more often then not, the rare blood type suited him fine, he found it always very delicious. His lips quirking into a little smile as she had kissed his cheek, watching her leave, going back to his business fixing up her room, also thinking what would he do with his little free time, so may years he'd lived and he still suffered some boredom time to time.

Feeling the warm blood of the lady entering his body, the vampire closed his eyes to appreciate his feast only more. O-…his favorite. The dull sound the broom made while falling onto the floor -- he paid it no attention. He simply fed, taking in this precious blood; the vital liquid of his dear Elizabeth. Withdrawing his fangs soon enough, Esteban paused and a little amount of blood trailed out of the holes in the lady’s neck. The vampire’s red eyes followed one of the drops and only that single one did he lick up to go heal the wounds. Once that was done, he simply was to walk away, but Elizabeth moved faster… Letting her go, Esteban only looked at the glass before him and then at his reflection. He knew her legs had trembled…but he also knew he hadn’t drunk too much. Passing a thumb once on the corner of his lips, he then made it back to his bedroom, only looking over at the bathroom on the way from the corner of his eyes, knowing that that was where the girl had vanished to. All thanks to his vampire view and the huge mural mirror that was in there on the East wall could Esteban catch a glimpse of, through the little opening of the not completely closed door, his doll sitting on the floor with her back to the bathtub. It didn’t keep him from going into his room and changing into decent clothes…

Once dressed, with clean dark pants and a white blouse opened in the front to expose his tattoo and chest, the vampire sighed, figuring he should look up on Elizabeth. Well…he could put it that way, as if it was a must or something, but really…deep inside he did care and wondered. Elizabeth was the only woman around the man that was actually staying around. He knew she was loyal and devoted… Often did he think she didn’t have to be so good to him, but he wasn’t going to dismiss her either. He cared to have her around, as unprovable as it might be and as surprising as it may seem.

Stretching an arm out and laying his hand flat against the bathroom door, the vampire gave it a small push and just stood there once it was open wide, looking down at Elizabeth for a second. She didn’t seem to be doing too well…he knew it wasn’t a physical problem technically, so it just meant it was on another plan and that did make things quite more complicated for the emotionless vampire. He still came to kneel down before her and looked into her eyes… “Care to share why you are in such a state, Elizabeth..?” His expression really just appeared neutral…but his concern was real, even if probably undetectable.

It startled Malcolm to see Erick standing in front of him all of a sudden. He was having an inner battle with himself in those few seconds, trying to decide whether to reach for a weapon or not. He took a step or two away, his eyes not leaving the other's. He did have some hope of survival when the Elder's expression showed no anger toward him.. but he couldn't let his guard down just because of a simple facial expression.

Malcolm had no idea what happened when it did. One second, he was waiting for some kind of action from the vampire, and the next, his feet weren't even on the floor anymore. He landed on something--the couch, he soon realized--with an "Oof!" before it flipped, sending him and the couch to the floor. That dizziness from earlier came back full force now. He still wasn't seeing too clearly when he felt the couch being flipped again, right-side up, his stomach feeling like it was being flipped upside down. If they did this to him again, there was no guarantee he could keep his lunch down.

He hadn't yet opened his eyes when he finally responded to Erick's comment before having pushed him. "You've yet to kill me.. If you hadn't by now, I figured maybe I had a chance. Guess not, huh?" He scoffed. "Can't blame a man for trying." He could feel that his hat was missing.. It must have fallen off when he was pushed. He opened his eyes to look for it, once again startled to see Erick so close.
Seeing the Elder move closer after commenting on his smell, Malcolm pressed his back against the couch as if he could somehow escape that way. He tensed, preparing himself for the expected bite. Instead, shivers traveled down his spine at feeling the tongue on his skin. Even more, his heart nearly stopped when he felt those fangs. It was as if he was face to face with Death himself. He felt like it was inevitable that this vampire was going to kill him, but the teasing was becoming unbearable. If you're going to kill me, just get it over with already! is what he almost said. He didn't want to give up that easily, however.

Although he wouldn't admit it, Malcolm couldn't get himself to move. Not until he felt the fangs pierce his skin just slightly. He may have only bled a little, but it was enough to wake him up. To shake him out of the state he was in. Malcolm's hand reached up to cover the side of his neck, trying to give the Elder as little access as possible. His other hand was pushing against the vampire's chest. Giving Erick a hateful glare, the hunter responded to his questions simply by saying, "Why I'm here is none of your damn business."
True, Malcolm was there to find a vampire, but there was something about this one.. He didn't feel he should trust this Elder to turn him rather than drain him completely of his blood. Though, was there really a vampire alive that he could trust?

Erick had chuckled lightly at Malcolm’s answer as of what had had the man think he could just leave. If only the vampire could’ve reassured him, telling this man that he wasn’t meant to die today…oh but really, there was no rush~ Erick could easily…hmm say, get anything out of the ‘frightened’ man like this, maybe~? The thought had him grin. Many ideas thus came to his mind and the vampire really got pleased with one of them, and this one in particular wouldn’t be leaving his thoughts just yet…if ever.

The Elder had just took his own tongue back inside his mouth and was tasting the human’s blood fully, that he noticed how Malcolm covered up his neck’s side with his hand – probably in an attempt to keep Erick from feeding off him – and he then felt how the other man’s hand was now pressed against his chest, pushing him away some. Too bad…he would’ve slipped his tongue between Malcolm’s fingers, otherwise, to tease him a little. Anyway, he didn’t pout too long at the thought that he looked back into the light brown human’s eyes… That hateful glare almost flattered him…so, he only grinned some more at the man’s answer.
“Is that so~?” He seemed amused by all this. Looking down at the other male’s hand that was still pressed to his chest though, Erick noticed a…bracelet. Seemed like an artifact a mere kid would do -- oh wait, was it ‘papa’ that he could read on those beads? “Ahh…” The vampire straightened, bringing his right hand’s index finger under Malcolm’s chin to have the man stand as well, effortlessly dragging him up this way. Looking into his eyes, Erick said, not caring about the multitude meanings his next words could’ve implied: “I want you~” He paused. “That’s why you aren’t dead yet…”; said he… As if he was going to explain to this human that he actually couldn’t kill him..! “I’ve grown attached to you…little slayer” -- and that was true, since Malcolm had been the first human from whom Erick had heard a yell from, expressing his physical pain through it; and that blood drop earlier was actually the first the Elder had gotten straight out of a living body, all that ever since he’d gotten released. Erick then let go of the man’s chin and turned away, walking a few steps and he held his own hands together behind his back before turning to the human again. “See…I could kill you here and now, but I’d rather have you around… So~ Might as well be more open into sharing with me what your intentions are while being here… I doubt a human father would freely go risk his life chasing down vampires, so I can only guess some rat* harmed your kid and that you’re here for revenge…” Erick then just bent down to pick up something. It appeared as Malcolm’s hat had flown off his head while the human had gone flying to the couch at high speed… Taking the hat back to its owner, the vampire was still grinning some while handing the cap to Malcolm. “Perhaps I can help, in some way.” Erick had a clear idea in his mind…he just wasn’t so sure about how to bring it up. He’d remembered a thing he’d been taught; vampires of a certain age could own a slave… Hardly able to imagine Malcolm being docile, he still had made his mind -- he wanted this human for himself… Not for his B- blood, but mostly for his spirit. Plus…a vampire slayer owned by an Elder…how ironic was that? It really was just some…caprice from the vampire…but it amused him, and that was all that mattered.

Malcolm couldn't stand the way Erick grinned at him, as if there were mischievous thoughts going through his mind that he refused to share.
With the Elder's finger under his chin, the hunter reluctantly got to his feet. All the while, not taking his eyes off of the vampire. He kept the glare in his eyes until the next words both surprised and confused him. "I want you" could have meant many things, and Malcolm didn't think he liked any of those meanings. His face paled a bit, though he still wondered just what that meant. For a vampire to say that, he'd most likely guess one of two meanings; He wanted him for his next meal, or.. Well, he would keep his thoughts away from that other possible translation. Either way, he wasn't dead.. By the sound of it, he might not even have to worry about death. Not today, at least, and not by the hands of this vampire.

Even when Erick's back was turned to him, Malcolm still didn't look elsewhere. He watched the vampire's every move. The hunter was once again going to refuse to tell the other why he was there, but the words caught him off guard. Hearing "father" had him immediately move his hand to cover the bracelet on his wrist. So he had seen it.. That must have been how he figured it out. There was nothing else about Malcolm that gave away that he was a father. That was the only time the hunter finally pulled his eyes away from the vampire, looking downward, off to the side.

Malcolm never confirmed that Erick was right, but the guilt and anger filled expression said it all. Looking down at the hat as it was handed over, he hesitated for only a second before snatching it back. "It's still none of your business," he said, inspecting the hat to make sure it hadn't gotten dirty. He paused for a long moment.. Then sighed. "But.. if you really don't plan on trying to kill me after I pointed a gun at you, and in public, even.. I might as well tell you. I owe you that much."
Malcolm didn't say anything while he put his hat back on his head once again. It might have seemed he was stalling, but in reality, he was trying to find the right words. Puffing his cheeks, he let the air out with a "hoo" sort of sigh. "This will sound crazy coming from a vampire hunter, but.... I'm looking to be "turned".. Obviously, I can't do that without the help of another vampire." He moved back, plopping down on the couch. "The problem is, I'm a hunter. I don't trust vampires like you. I have no guarantee that the vampire I choose will be trustworthy enough not to kill me while I have my guard down." He rubbed his forehead with one hand, shaking his head. This whole thing caused all sorts of emotions; frustration, worry, fear, doubt.. It was hard not to get angry, or depressed.

Malcolm hadn't completely relaxed around this man, either. He was still talking to a vampire, and an Elder, at that. While he told Erick all of this, though, he hadn't thought that the vampire would actually be thinking to own the hunter as his own slave.

Erick, once he had turned himself back towards the human, had noticed how pale he had gotten, and seeing the male looking downwards like he was, it only confirmed to the Elder that he had sorted things out quite right, as for his guessing stuff from that little handmade bracelet the man wore to his left wrist. Well, the good point in being so old…was that you’ve seen lots. Not to mention how history tends to repeat itself, so Erick really hadn’t had to think hard to try getting some picture out of Malcolm’s story. Well…he’d gotten the big lines, anyway. That’s all that mattered for now…that, and all about this chat that was arousing – feeling-wise – in the human being, as the vampire could tell these from the man’s expression. Human feelings were so diversified and interesting…well that’s how Erick felt about them, hence his having been so open into feeling those and having got to know most of them by now. Anyway, now, Erick really was just listening, hoping to get answers, having given the male his hat back. The first words were…disappointing, but he didn’t lose hope…and, glad he didn’t, as finally the man went in the good direction, which was to consider sharing his motives with the Elder. He was looking forward into hearing about them, and the other’s pause seemed everlasting while the man put his hat back on and all, but the human finally did speak.

Hearing Malcolm’s explanation as for his being here, Erick did get somewhat surprised. He lifted a brow, even. Now…this was interesting -- and unique. A vampire slayer that wanted to become exactly what he was chasing down… It sure did sound crazy, but --crazy-- Erick had no trouble with that. He only thought the man was even more suiting into becoming his personal slave. If he ever was to have one, the vampire didn’t want just some brainless puppet…he wanted someone with whom he could actually be able to interact and such -- something worthwhile…company, even. The Elder didn’t despise ‘low-class vampires’…so if Malcolm was to be turned, it wouldn’t bug him. This all sure was an interesting encounter.

“Well, well…” The vampire put an arm across his own chest while holding his other arm that was up, his free hand to his face, his index finger tapping on his cheek, as if he was thinking. “There’s nothing easier than turning you”; said he, as if ready to make such a deal with the human…though of course it wouldn’t be free. “Though…” he paused a short moment, smiling. “I meant it, saying that I wanted you.” There again it sounded awkward, but it wasn’t necessarily Erick’s intention. He came to sit on the couch’s arm, one leg up with his foot on the seat and the other still onto the floor…he was mostly turned towards the human. “Would you work under me…in…anticipation of being turned?” Putting it out as ‘slave’, he was positive the hunter would’ve refused…but put this way, he did hope he’d have the male cooperate. “I suggest you think twice, before deciding anything… I’d be of a great asset…” He swiftly came to sit right next to Malcolm, looking into his light brown eyes still. He spoke low, saying: “I know you have no reason to trust me, but that just might change…” His smile stretched.

Hearing the "Well, well", Malcolm was just waiting for some kind of smart comment from the vampire. Even knowing he should have expected it, he was a bit startled when Erick sounded as if he was agreeing to turn the hunter. He also should have expected there would be a catch.. Of course. Why would an Elder bother turning a hunter just because he requested it?
Malcolm watched, warily, as the vampire took a seat at the arm of the couch.

The hunter didn't respond at first. Work under him.. He was repeating it in his head, trying to guess what that meant. There were many things "working under" could imply. He wasn't sure he would agree to any of them.. but some of them were easier to consider than others. The best way to find out was to ask. "What exactly does "working under you" mean for me?" Erick was right; Saying "slave" would definitely have Malcolm refusing immediately. "And what "great assets" are these?" he added, leaning on the free arm of the couch, all while giving Erick a suspicious look. Despite the suspicion, he found himself relaxing a little more, now that the feeling of danger had started to fade.

Still, while he didn't quite deny it, Malcolm saw no way that his feelings of trust could change toward an Elder such as Erick..

Erick was patient, knowing this all was quite a bit to assimilate. He did expect the male would ask questions -- plus, it was a sign the human was actually considering it, to some extent. The vampire crossed his legs again, setting his hands onto his upper knee, exaggeratedly elegant. Hearing the first question, Erick, grinning, started to think about how exactly he would answer that. Meanwhile, Malcolm added another question, which at least to this one, the vampire knew more specifically how he’d actually answer it. Watching how the hunter leaned on the free couch’s arm, he noted the man’s suspicious look which got a slight chuckle out of the Elder. He could tell the human was somewhat more at ease. He then started: “Why…I could find this and that for you to do, little things really…not much…nothing you’d think isn’t worth doing for being turned by an Elder such as I…” He would’ve stated how he actually did need company, but he’d keep that for later…he didn’t want this man considering him as a weakling or something; his own sister thinking so was enough already. “As for what I am ready to offer… Well, if you misbehave in this hotel and arise suspicions on you -- I’ll be there to cover up your acts and watch your back, since I want you alive. So…if you have little vampires to eradicate and such businesses to attend, it’ll just be fun to see how many you could possibly take down discreetly so I can see what you’re made of. …Plus, as long as you’re on my side, well you’re under the second oldest possible vampire within this hotel’s walls… As a human, I’d like to fill such a position.” He ended up biting his lower lip, before adding: “Possibly…I could even gather any type of information, if there is any more to lay hand on, about your child.” He was taking a slight risk there, not knowing how much the man knew about what had actually happened to his child. Hopefully he wouldn’t hit a wall, wishing there was more than the kid having just been killed -- mostly like something about abduction, why not… Vampires foolish enough to play with fire could keep delicious, illegal blood bags such as children alive, to be able to feed off them every day… Erick did a little ‘hmph’ sound at such a thought, not sharing it with the mortal, and ended with a: “All there really is to care about is that I am willing to make you immortal and that I am probably the only vampire here that’ll be on your side for granting a hunter such powers.” And that was most likely right.

The poor human girl was in all her states. Why there and now? It had been years she had been alongside Esteban and she always had been able to hide her feelings. It's not as if he had pressed his body to hers while drinking her blood, which would have made it all understandable with the sensuality of the moment ... But he really just had fed and nothing more. Elizabeth was in complete awe before him. He was so beautiful and attractive. She loved how he ruled his hotel and how classy he was. He was always at his best, even when he just woke up and normally vampires don’t have an odor for humans but Elizabeth had found it. Esteban’s smell. It was not a smell of perfume or soap, but a simple single body, unique odor. The moment she preferred in her long work days was when making Esteban’s bed, because when she shook the covers, the wonderful smell filled her nostrils to leave her into a drunk-like state for the rest of the cleansing. The time Esteban deign come to see her, Elizabeth was already a little over her earlier stumble. She did not hear the vampire arrive; she was too much in her thoughts and when she heard him speak she jumped. Then she looked up to look at him. His eyes were still a little reddish...it was so captivating. The human began to have a little tinge of red on her cheeks and, as if hypnotized, her body leaned slightly towards him. Eli's eyes were glassy and full of hope. He wants to know what I have... Then she “woke up”. I cannot say it to him...he's going to fire me... She lowered her head, staring at the floor. "I got a little dizzy, don’t worry... I will be ok; I just have to take a little break..." She looked at him again, smiling as if nothing had happened. She wanted to exist for him; she wanted to be with him. But how to confess it, to an emotionless Elder? She preferred being useful and be with him, rather than confessing her feelings and never see him again or worse, become a nuisance!
