ll Ssica ll Lol I know right. And theres some who tone it down while growing up. It angers me when I see adults who do those junior high/highschool bullshit styles. Unless it's a hairstylist, they look good in it You can be an adult and still rock alternative styles, easily. You just have to be more careful about what you wear, how you wear it, and the style has to grow up with you. You can't stay looking 15 forever, so have the style grow and change with you, and you'll look just fine.

If nothing else, go for neutrals. Boot cut dark wash jeans (NOT skinny jeans), basic scoop neck or v-neck tops, maybe with a little lace around the collar. Find shoes that are basic but sill cute, like bright red flats with a little flower accent on the toe. I love basic outfits with either bright shoes or a bright bag, I think it's really cute depending on how it's done. Try shopping at places that don't cater to just one age group. I get my jeans from American Eagle, and they're just basic dark wash jeans. Some have that weird fading lines and stuff that I don't really like, but other than that, they're super basic and neutral. Avoid Hot Topic as much as you can, because almost NOTHING in there is intended for people over about 17. Some accessories might be usable, but they're such crap quality for too much money, so why bother?

I had noticed before but the other day it really pissed me because I was watching an old csi episode where taylor swift has a nose and a lip piercing and the hoops are gigantic and look horrible. And she only had piercings because she was kind of a bad girl -_-'

The only one I wear outside of formal reasons (dinners, weddings, funerals, etc.) is this one:  Excuse my expression, I was slightly tipsy. This was from my 25th birthday this year. I LOVE that dress, and I love doing my hair that way. But now instead of curling the whole thing, I leave it straight and just do the victory rolls. They look like this:  Oh, what about the rockabilly style? That's what that is above, kinda. A mix of rockabilly and pin up, really. You can also wear darker accessories and make it goth-abilly, which is really fun as well. I actually feel REALLY comfortable in that dress, that style suites me more than other "girlier" dresses and skirts.

I absolutely love the pin up/rockabilly/goth-abilly style, it's fairly easy for me to wear and pull off, and it fits my normal style really nicely. And it's something that's not done very much, so that makes it even more fun.
