Minato laughed, sensing his nervousness. "Don't worry. The school isn't huge, so you'll get used to the place in no time! Zuran, huh? That sounds like a cool name!" He then looked down at the boy's schedule. "Wait...room 207?" Wow. That's my class! "That's the same as me! You can just follow then!"
He lead Zuran to their class and walked inside. "Good morning, Teach!" The teacher looked up as they entered and she smiled. "Oh, it's you Minato! Smiling like always! Oh...is this the new student!"
Minato nodded. "Yep! And he has an awesome name!"

Zuran followed Mintao, very surprised at the other's friendliness. It seemed to have caught him off-guard. Though it was good luck they had the same class. Zuran, being intoruced to the teacher, gave her a small head-nod that looked almost like a partial bow. "I'm ... not sure if my name is really that awesome. I'm Zuran Lung, ma'am." He quickly tried to get a seat near to Minato, keeping close. But who wouldn't; Minato was the first friendly face he'd seen that day, after all. "There're two seats here ..." he said, both of them by the window, one front of the other. Though, upon sitting down--in the seat behind the other--he looked out and quickly noticed something. "Minato ... the one tackling that big one ... You know him, yeah?"
Sure enough, horsing around down on the track--and in plain sight--was Cain. Though he seemed to get away with just a bit of a yelling at by the coach before getting back to running.

Minato had no problem with being friendly, he didn't really have a reason not to be. So, when Zuran his full name, he had to encourage him. "Hey! If Zuran Lung is your name, wear it proud, make it feel cool! Like me! My name is Minato Mikomi, kinda girly, but I make it suit me and others say my name like it's awesome. And it IS awesome!"
With that said, he went and took his seat, dragging his bag over the back of the chair. Then, as he brought out a notebook to take notes with, his attention was drawn outside the window. "Huh? What? Oh!" A small smile appeared on his face. "That's...my big brother, Cain. Haha... Father warned him about tackling people... He'll probably get fussed at again later if anyone blabs..." He laughed.

Zuran just sighed a little at Minato's enthusiasm for names, but was smiling a bit as he did so. "I suppose ... where I come from, nearly everyone is related though, so 'Lung' is very common. My fist name is rather common as well. Though ... if I, as you say, am 'awesome,' I guess I will try to wear my name proudly." Looking out the window with the vampire, the red head tilted his head. "Brother?" he sounded a bit surprised. They hadn't smelled related ... "Ah, sorry. You're just ... pretty different for brothers."
He leaned back in his seat a little, then reached down to get his own note pad and an ink pen. "He seems ... athletic." Because Cain was once again running around the track and didn't show any signs of stopping until the class was pulled to the center of the track for stretch excersizes. Zuran was more the type to read instead of workout, himself.

Minato smiled when Zuran said that he'd at least try to wear his name proudly. Though, when he sounded surprised at hearing that he and Cain were brothers, he couldn't hold back a chuckle. "Yeah, I know! That's because we're not blood related. I'm adopted. But since we grew up like a real family, I like to think of them as my 'real' family. As for my 'true' family, well...wherever they are, I'm pretty sure they're happy as long as I'm safe."
His attacking towards adoption was more carefree and light than most.Or maybe it was because his parents told him about adoption early on and helped him learn how to deal with it. Besides, he was loved by the 'family', the clan, very much. So it wasn't as if he was lacking in anything.
They only didn't tell him the truth about why he had to be adopted in the first place.
"Yeah. Out of the two of us, he's definitely more athletic, though, I do have my moments. But most of the time, it's him." He smiled, watching Cain run laps until they were called in for stretches. He watched them do their stretches with a strange, unreadable look, then he turned to his notebook. "...By the way, my brother says that smoking is bad for you." Then he looked at Zuran. "And this is from me: at least bring a change of close that don't reek of it. They have a pretty strong smoking policy around here."

"Ah, adoption ... that explains it ..." Zuran said slowly, wondering at quite a few things privately inside his mind. Though ... the other's lightness at the circumstances didn't surprise him as much as the other's look out the window as the gym class did their stretches. It didn't escape the new student's attention that Minato's eyes were mostly on Cain.
His thoughts were interrupted when the other turned to look at him, and made the comment about smoking. "Oh, that ... well I really don't think I can help it that much," he began, then paused. Choosing his words with care, he continued. "The smoking is a ... Oriental form of medication. The dean didn't believe me when I tried to explain, but I'll try what you say. I don't think changing my clothes will really help the smell much though ... sorry if it bothers you," he apologized. True, he did smell as strongly as smoke as one who'd just been smoking, but that had been several minutes ago. The smell of smoke--like burning wood--seemed to almost be rising up from his skin. The the fishy smell fish have, only his was less sushi-like and more like a bonfire.
Though, as the teacher began to speak, Zuran began carefully taking notes. Though, if anyone bothered to look at his notebook, one would notice that all of his writing was in some form of Chinese.

Minato blinked in surprised. "What? Oriental medication? Really?" He then leaned a bit closer to see if he could get a better smell. Time seemed to still as he concentrated. Then he leaned back and smiled. "I think...I get what you mean. But still...if it's medication, you need to bring a 'proof of prescription' from either a doctor or an approved pharmacy, okay?" Then he faced forward as the teacher started the lesson.
Hm...that's an interesting scent he has. It's almost similar to when smoke-cooks the fish of bacon... Ah, I know, when papa throws special wood on the grill with the meat to give it a more woodsy flavor! Yeah, that's it! The look on his face could be mistaken for idiotic if one didn't know it meant he was thinking of something food related, but alas... He quickly snapped out of it though so he could take notes, but he would easily get bored just listening and watching the teacher speak, so he doodled around his notes and the like...

"Eh ..." It really wasn't prescribed by an 'official' doctor, but it wouldn't be best to say that aloud. It had been given to him by his grandfather, who was great with human transformation and had given Zuran several packs of cigs to help him keep his human form while living amongst humans for ... secret reasons. But he didn't voice any of this, obviously. He just took his notes like a good student, but nearly jumped out of his skin at the bell, not expecting it. Zuran hurried to pack his stuff away and pulled out his map and class schedule. "Math next ..." he made a very unhappy face. He liked books and language ... but numbers? They were the bane of his existence in more ways than one.
Cain had already gone inside and dressed back into his regular clothes, and was heading to his own next class through the halls filled with other students.

Minato did his best to hold his attention on the teacher, but when it was becoming really tough for him, he would look outside the window at Cain. He realized now that he was attracted to Cain, but...he wasn't sure how the other would take it if he ever came out about it. I want to tell him...but it needs to be gentle. However, if I take too long and we graduate, he'll be snatched up by some female werewolf from another clan. Wait, no...that's to be expected. After all, he's a guy and considering the status of this clan...continuing the bloodline is important. But since we're in school, he doesn't have to worry about it yet...
A sigh escaped him as the bell rang. Standing, he put his things into his pack and shouldered it. "Huh? Math? ...Wow. Actually, I have Art next, but since the classes are next door to each other, just follow me." Then he laughed. "I have a friend or two in Math class. So why don't you get to know them and slowly branch out? I'll get you started, but you have to do the rest for yourself, okay?" He started walking. Though, as he did, he also kept an out for Cain. Even if they couldn't talk, just seeing the other in the halls lifted his heart.

Zuran was unaware of the other's private thoughts, but he was glad that Minato would at least show him the way to his next class and be right next door. "All right ... branching out ..." he didn't sound very confident. Zuran had never been very social; not back at home--which was almost on the other side of the earth from him right now--and certainly not here. But ... he had to try. It was his only hope, really. But he did smile at Minato as they walked along. "Thanks. I don't know what I'd be doing without you," he said, truthfully.
Behind the vampire, Cain surprised the two of them and wrapped Minato in a hug, chuckling. "Hey, Minato! How was class?" He looked curiously between the new guy and his brother, heading in the same direction as them.

Minato nodded at as Zuran said, once again, that he'd at least try. Right now, he could tell the other's confidence, so he had to help him with that. "Hm...well...I'm not a Time Wizard so...I don't know either! But, I'm glad you're happy you met me first, Zuran!" He smiled and faced forward, once again searching for Cain.
Steeped in the scent of humans, he almost didn't catch Cain coming up behind them.
Minato tensed as Cain hugged him from behind, his hair covering his eyes. "..." Then he looked up with a smile. "I took some notes, but I know I missed a few things." Then he lowered his voice. "Dammit, Cain, I almost threw you! Didn't I ask you not to come up on me from behind!?" Though, his inner thoughts were the opposite. Wawawawa~! He hugged me from behind! Good thing I didn't throw him or ->that<- might've brushed against my backside! "Also, was that a tackle I saw earlier? Bro, you know a tackle from you is probably like hitting a brick wall..." He smirked. "Poor kid..."

Zuran watched curiously as the werewolf grinned, laughing and releasing his vampire brother. "Oh, come on, Minato! You should be more than capable of getting everything the teacher said! Though, I saw you and our new friend were in the same class. Maybe he could lend you his notes," the older bother suggested, moving to walk between the two. So it seemed he'd looked up at least once to see them both in the window. He added quietly himself: "But it's so much fun to surprise you! The day you do throw me is the day I know I totally caught you off guard, making it worth it!" He laughed hugging the vampire with one arm again. "Hey ... he was a thick kid. He could take it. Besides, it's fun getting away with at least one bad thing on the first day," the wereteen snickered. Then he held out a hand to the smoker. "Hey, I'm Cain."
"Zuran. Zuran Lung," the smokey young man replied, taking the offered hand and shaking. "And I don't smoke cigarettes. It's medication. So, it's not bad for me."
Cain blinked, surprised. "Huh. Never heard of a smoke medication."
"It's oriental."

Minato shrugged. "True, but it's that guy from last year who lectured us on...on...what was...Proper Dance? I still don't know what was up with that..." He shook his head. Though, he chuckled when he mentioned his new friend. "Yeah. Our next classes are neighbors, though." When his brother whispered into his ear, despite being a vampire, it tickled. "Yeah, but who knows when that'll be. Now stop huffing in my ear. Your hot breath is making the inside of my ear wet and itchy." Though, I suppose that being a cold-blooded vampire is good in these cases. But I can't help but wonder, how can he be so dense and yet managed to bother me so much!?
Minato laughed at his defense. "Sure...a thick kid. Well, just don't get suspended so early in the semester." Then he smiled as Zuran introduced himself. "Oriental...like those incense sticks mom put in your room once. (Since you don't like baths.)"

Cain chuckled, pulling away from his brother so the other wouldn't have to deal with his 'huffing.' "Incense?" He made a 'ew' face. "Dude, those things reeked. I couldn't smell myself for a week." But now he sort of got what the Zuran was trying to say. "Don't worry, I'll be good," he reassured the vamp, then hurried off. "Got to go! See you both during lunch!" he called, then disappeared down another hall. Zuran kept close to Minato until they came to the neighboring classes.
"Have a good time in art," he said, hoping Minato's friends in the math class would be as friendly as the cheerful male.

Minato nodded. "That was the point. Remember? Your room got wet from the open window and...everything smelled like...yeah...you know." He didn't want to say 'wet dog' out loud. "Okay, I'll see you at lunch!" He gave a small waved as his brother hurried to his own class. When it came time for him and Zuran to go to their own classes, he smiled at the other. "Okay! Try not to let Math bog you down!" He then walked into his classroom and took his seat.
There was two of Minato's friends in class. After Minato told them what was up, they agreed to...'take care' of Zuran. One was a boy and the other was a girl, both humans.
"So...Minato is a nice guy, right?" The boy asked, smirking.
"He's the gem of this school. He's practically everyone's 'Prince Charming'. So be careful. Some might mistaken your new guy nervousness for attraction..."
