Taylinn Tsuzuki xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx▋▍ ♥ x Introduction x ➸ Taylinn watched him curiously, a bit shocked that he only nodded and opened it without a word. Then again she didn't blame him. The silverette sat down on the opposite end of the couch and rested her head on the arm of the couch. "Um..." Taylinn looked over at Mateo as he started speaking. "Were those crystals, like, valuable?...I mean, to you. I just, uh...saw them on the chandelire, I didn't think that...I don't know, I thought you wouldn't notice. " She nodded her head simply before checking his progress of fixing himself up. "Do you know how to treat your wound or not?" She placed her head back on the arm of the couch. "If you're trying to apologize forget about it. It's fine. I expected you to do as much. But tell me something Mateo. If you did escape where would you go? What was your life like before you got stuck in the shop?" she asked, though she didn't even look at him.

I may have had everything taken from me... ...But Reminding me of that is going to hurt you more than me... Taylinn took it well, but he didn't feel any better. She nodded and as he spilled a roll of bandages across the counch and against her leg, she asked, "Do you know how to treat your wound or not?" Mateo smirked and grabbed the bandages. "Not a clue. I've never had much practice." She laid her head on the back of the couch, staring at something else. He fumbled with a bottle of pain killers when she asked about what he'd do if he left. It dropped off teh couch and rolled away from the couch. He didn't go after it, just stared at it. Ever since his mother left nobody had asked him about it. Thinking about it felt just as bad as he imagined. When his mom got pregnant she couldn't work, and he had to start participating in illegal activities to support her. He got mad because of the new baby coming and completely flipped out. He'd been such an idiot, it was his fault she left. Mateo leaned forward and put his elbow on his knee covering his mouth and nose, trying to forget about it. Just focus on the life he lived, and not that day. "On the streets," he choked out. He was ashamed at the sound of his voice. The memory had effected him like a punch in the stomach. "I was mugging the guy for food money," he continued, despite the embrasssing gruffness that controlled his throat. He wiped his face and and leaned backj, breathing out a sigh that said the subject was closed. "You know the rest," he told her.

Taylinn Tsuzuki xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx▋▍ ♥ x Introduction x ➸ Taylinn chuckled lightly as she looked to Mateo. "Do you want to treat it yourself, Sunshine?" she inquired,"Or do you want help?" The silver haired girl stared after the bottle as it rolled away, confusion written on her face. Moments later he spoke again. "On the streets." His voice sounded so... like he'd been punched but Taylinn knew that he hadn't. It almost upset the girl as well. "I was mugging the guy for food money." She listened silently until he was done speaking. He finished with a sigh and a four worded statement: "You know the rest." She knew that it upset him to talk about his old life but Taylinn was still curious. She lightly patted the top of his head before pulling her hand away and speaking,"Was it just you there? Did you have any family at all?"

I may have had everything taken from me... ...But Reminding me of that is going to hurt you more than me... Mateo nodded at Taylinn's suggestion of treating his wound. "Pease and thanks," he requested. He turned his shoulder to her, still mulling over his feelings. He was fine, really. He was forgetiing again, thinking of how he could have prevented getting Taylinn's wrath in the first place. He should have either hidden his treasures somewhere less obvious or not taken them at all. That would have been the safest option. Just when he had succesfully changed the topic in his head Tayliin asked more about him. He grinded his teeth silently as another wave of unforgotten emotion swept him up. "No. It was just me since I was...a kid." He wondered why she was so persistently curious about him. He could definately say it bothered him, but the thought of her asking was nice. It set up a little delusion that it was beyond plain curiosity. "Since I was ten. My da was dead," he found himself mumbling." He didn't know why he said that, now she'd ask what happened. It would be painful, and he knew he'd tell her. For some reason that was what he felt. If she asked he'd probably tell her.

Taylinn Tsuzuki xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx▋▍ ♥ x Introduction x ➸ Taylinn stared at the wound and then the first aid kit. It would be easier to do it her way. She snapped her fingers, creating and small flame and pressed the fire to the open wound. It would hurt at first but it did close the wound up, leaving only his original bruise from when he fell into the cage. As she was pulling away she noticed him grind his teeth when she asked about his family. "Since I was ten. My dad was dead." Mateo mumbled. Taylinn's eyes showed sympathy because she knew how that felt. "I lost both my parents when I was twelve." she murmured,"I understand how it feels. Can you tell me what happened to him?" she asked gently, though her voice showed that she wasn't going to force him to say anything he didn't want to.

I may have had everything taken from me... ...But Reminding me of that is going to hurt you more than me... Just as mateo had predicted, Tayliin of course was looking for more. After she ignored the first aid kit, she she snapped. Heat flshed around his shoulder and he grunted in protest, for it was painful. Soon though the burning hurt became a lulling warmth and he looked over at his shoulder. He caught the flame as it disapeared and saw no trace of the bloody marks from Taylinn's nails. He looked at it then her with questioning eyes. She asked first though, and he still wanted to answere. It hadn't been what he thought she'd ask. It might have been because he didn't remember his dad too much, and he just didn't seem as precious as his mother. She had taken up so much more of his life, and taken so much away as well. He couldn't help but focus on her. "Uh," he started with trouble. He clasped his hands together and tried to remember more about the fire. Strangely that wasn't a painful memory to him. "We lived in a great house, and everything we owned was in it. Someone left a stove on or something and the house burned down at night. I got out with mom but Dad died." The only painful thing in that sentance was the metion of his mother.

Taylinn Tsuzuki xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx▋▍ ♥ x Introduction x ➸ Taylinn grinned widely as he stared over at her with questioning eyes. "It's a trick I learned from my mother. She taught me and my two sisters before she died." she explained, thought at the mention of her sisters, the girl looked somewhat sad. "We lived in a great house, and everything we owned was in it. Someone left a stove on or something and the house burned down at night. I got out with mom but Dad died." Mateo said. The silverette noticed that when he mentioned his dad it didn't seem to affect him that much. Maybe because he died earlier? But the slightest mention of his mother and it looked far more painful to Mateo. "What happened to your mother after that Sunshine?" Taylinn inquired.

I may have had everything taken from me... ...But Reminding me of that is going to hurt you more than me... Mateo nodded at her explination. Fascinating, he had never met anyone from the supernatural part of life. He heard about them, but Taylinn was the first he'd met. She did ask about his mom. It must have been incredibly obvious that he had extreme feelings for his missing mother. She asked with an inquiring voice. All the details of his mother were crowding his mind and he felt his eyes tear up slightly. His throat went desert dry and he couldn't feel any air in his chest. He couldn't tell her yet. He shook his head, and got up. Hi dipped his head away from her looking forlornly at the floor. "Where am I staying?" he whispered.

Taylinn Tsuzuki xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx▋▍ ♥ x Introduction x ➸ Taylinn noticed that at the mention of his mother Mateo began to tear up. She knew right after that happened that she wasn't going to learn anything about his mother. And sure enough she was right. He seemed to miss his mother which made Taylinn all the more curious. She wasn't going to force him to say anything though. Then he looked to the floor forlornly. "Where am I staying?" he whispered. The silverette stood up and gently patted the boy's head, trying to comfort him a bit before she took a few more steps away. "Follow me, Sunshine." she called back to him. The dragon girl went towards a hallway to the left of the living room and began to walk slowly, not really stopping for him but not leaving him way behind either.

I may have had everything taken from me... ...But Reminding me of that is going to hurt you more than me... Mateo was glad that Taylinn just left it at that. She stood up behind him and patted him on the head, supposedlytrying to comfort him. He raised his shoulders meekly and responded to her use of his nicknames. He trailed after her, feeling numb from all those emotions. Footstep after slow footstep he kept pace after Taylinn down the hall. It was a good time to think. Mateo hadn't thought about his mom since she left, and now thanks to this new stranger that owned him, he had opened himself up to it. This whole time he had never known who to blame. On one part it was his mothers for getting prregnant and protecting her new baby. Then she found out about the stealing and acted like an idiot for justice. It wasn't fair, but his childhood guilt that he'd driven her away stuck with him. He'd cursed his baby sister, wishing for her to die when she was born so he wouldn't have to raise money for her too. He had always been able to stand the hard times until that time. Well, now that he was thinking about it, he realised it felt different. It felt good remembering his mom, she'd been his favourite person in life. Maybe, if he thought like that he'd be able to bear her leaving him a little easier.

Taylinn Tsuzuki xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx▋▍ ♥ x Introduction x ➸ Taylinn continued walking down the hall though she occasionally looked back to Mateo. He wasn't walking all the fast and hadn't said one word since they left the living room. After a few minutes the silverette stopped in front of a door and opened it up. But she didn't go inside. Taylinn just stood there, waiting for the slow boy to walk up. "Sunshine, walk a bit faster please. I don't have all day." she called back to him, showing a bit of irritation. He wasn't acting like he had back in the slave shop. He was quiet and didn't talk back. The silver haired dragon had bought him because he wasn't like that.

I may have had everything taken from me... ...But Reminding me of that is going to hurt you more than me... Mateo nearly walked past. He was still in deep thought, a really rare thing for him. He was naturally a shallow thinker that only looked on the surface of things. For example all these years he'd just thought every memory about his mom was painful. He was thinking back to before the house burnt down. His mom and dad were pretty happy all the time, and sometimes Mateo thought they were rich. Until the house burnt down. Then he started thinking of how they worked together to make a living before his baby sister made mom unable to work. He smiled a bit, until Taylinn interupted the pleasant memory. "Oi, if you have any complaints you could have just given me directions," he told her with attitude. He crossed his arms in front in front of her, "Nobody likes a nagger."

Taylinn Tsuzuki xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx▋▍ ♥ x Introduction x ➸ "Oi, if you have any complaints you could have just given me directions." Taylinn laughed, but a wide smile spread across her face. That's why she had bought the red head. He crossed his arms in front of her and spoke again. "Nobody likes a nagger." The silverette tapped him on the head before dragging him into the room. "Well, Sunshine, I still don't trust you. After all, not that long ago you stole one of my family's crystals. I'm not letting you go too far out of my sight for awhile." the dragon girl explained. "I'll have you know that I don't nag very much. I'm actually a very pleasant person." Taylinn added.

I may have had everything taken from me... ...But Reminding me of that is going to hurt you more than me... Mateo understood her distrust, so he gave her that one comment about him stealing his taxi ride. However, she was good at setting herself up. He grabbed the doornob, with a sly grin. "A very pleasant person, hmm. That sure explains why you support slavery." He quickly shut the door before she could point out his own flaws. He felt like sporting a childish snicker as he held the door just in case. Meanwhile he took a look around his new room. He had never had his own room, and seeing it... It was amazing. A small plain room with a twin bed to normal people, but to him it was a mansion of his own. No more crowded rooms with a bunch of druggies, or cold warehouse floors. He had a window which he guessed was locked before he tried it. He did walk over to find himself right, locked from the outside. He'd need a key if he wanted to get out through it, but at the this was his shining moment. He flopped onto his bed and layed down, staring excitedly at his cieling. He grinned and suspressed a laugh as he punched the air.

Taylinn Tsuzuki xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx▋▍ ♥ x Introduction x ➸ Taylinn chuckled lightly at his last words before he quickly shut the door to his new room. The silverette stood there for a few seconds outside his room with a smile. Seeing as he lived on the streets before now Taylinn guessed that he would like the room. "Hey Sunshine!" the dragon girl called,"If you want food come to the dining room in like half an hour. You know where it is." she finished before walking away. The silverette made her way to the dining room. She found a chair stepped up onto it and fixed the chandelier, putting the crystal back into it's original spot. The dragon girl stepped down and plucked a piece of candy from one of the bowls and popped it into her mouth. Taylinn walked out of the dining room and to her room.
