Raizya nodded in agreement. "But you are also Apollo's kid, so just him being your bro won't psyche you out, eh? Just keep at it like you have been, and I'm sure you will do fine."

James Heliotrope Krato's Warrior SonJames walked back onto the archery range and paused for a second. Seeing that someone had moved his metal rifle targets into a line. James shook his head and made sure no arrows were flying before dragging them back into there original spots. James walked back to the firing line and dropped to a knee. He started with the closest target, and engaged in semiautomatic mode. listening for the familiar ring of hits.

Raizya frowned once James arrived and walked up to Skylar to whisper, "I'm sorry, but I have to leave. That James guy makes me nervous." Because she couldn't help but remember how Corbin had reacted to him. She left quickly with a wave to Skylar.

Ethel pulled back the string of the bow and aimed her arrow at a target. It went sailing into the very center of the target and she smiled proudly. Ethel had only been there for a few short months, but it had been enough to get in some well needed training.

"See ya later," Alex called to Skylar, walking away from the archery range. There was a flash of light from the tattoo on his arm and his bow vanished. (Exit to Apollo cabin)

Skylar walked to the Archery Range and set down bow. "Okay,Alex, let's go over the rules. Three arrows each, whoever gets closest to the center wins. Any prizes for the winner?"

Alex crouched next to Skylar. "How about the loser doing whatever the winner wants for the rest of the day?" He suggested. "That and, if you win, I apologize for earlier."

Skylar thought about his offer, looked at him, and smiled. "Deal. So, would you like to shoot first?"

After thinking for a few moments Alex gestured to Skylar. "Ladies first," he said.

Skylar hesitated before she answered."Normally, I would be flattered, but right now, I insist you go first. You're older, more experience. I wanna see what I'm up against. With her fingers crossed, in her head she was thinking Please go first, Please go first.

"If you insist," Alex said, stepping up to the firing line. There was a flash of light from his tattoo, and his longbow appeared in his hand. Inscribed on the bow were images of a sun and a lyre. He nocked an arrow, sighted down the shaft and released the string. The arrow thudded into the target, just left of the center. He calmly fit another arrow to the string, drawing it back until the string touched his lips before he released it, sending the arrow into the center. "Think I can get center again?" He grinned as he looked over his shoulder at Skylar. He turned back to the target, and sighted down the shaft of his last arrow. The arrow split the second, the tip burying itself in the dead center of the target. He stepped back, and his bow vanished in another flash of light. "You're up. I have an idea. How about, if you can split my arrows, the two in the center, you win. You don't have to do it, but it would be a damn good shot if you could."

Skylar took a deep breath and tried to relax. She grabbed her bow firmly in her hand and notched the first arrow. She looked down the shaft of the arrow, aimed and released it towards the target. When it reached the target it split one of Alex's arrows in the middle. The next two arrows that she shot didn't split any other arrows but somehow the found space in between the other arrows in the target. She calmly set down her target and looked at Alex. " So, where does that leave us now?"

"A near thing," Alex said, looking at the target. "I'd say, we have a draw." He looked at Skylar and grinned as his bow vanished in a flash of light from his tattoo. "Since neither of us one, I'll give you half of your prize. I apologize for scaring you earlier. You're a pretty good shot."

Skylar looked at him and smiled. "Thank you. You're not too shabby yourself," Skylar replied with a little chuckle. "Maybe you wanna go canoeing in the Lake later?" offered Skylar. She really enjoyed this competition. Maybe she can learn that she has mad skills at some other activity and can actually beat someone in that.
