Jeremy heard the voice a ways above him, and looked quickly up, startled. There, above him, sitting on a rocky ledge, was a girl-no, a woman, in a startlingly orange outfit. The thought struck him somewhere in his mind that she looked something like a pirate- the kind he'd always read about in books as a boy. And then he saw another person, standing close behind the girl, this one male. A strange male. He had vibrant green hair and a green hooded cloak to match. Jeremy thought he detected something about the shape of the man's ears, but he wasn't quite sure, being a fair distance away. They seemed a strange pair, but he was entirely relieved- there were other people here besides him! He pushed himself away from the trunk of the tree, standing on his own and looking skyward towards the two. He wondered for a moment if they lived here- they looked strange enough to fit in with this strange land, as it was, but he scarcely paid the thought any mind in his simple relief in knowing that he was not in a place devoid of others. He started climbing his way up towards them, trying to scale the rather steep slope. His shoes, casual flat-soled things, slipped on the dense undergrowth. "Hey," he called up to them, one hand cupped to his mouth, the other one helping him to climb. "I think I'm lost." He figured that they could perhaps point him out in a direction that would lead home- if, he realized with a pang of terror, he was even still on Earth. He still held the peculiar sensation that he was not in his own world, that he really had been whisked away somehow through a mental wormhole or something, to this place. But he might as well try.

Happy to see the man close up, Hermathio helps the man when he slips on the plant by removing the plants the next time he tries to get up. After the man gets up,Hermathio then looks around at the forest and wonders if there are other people out there. Something tells him no, and so he looks at the others. "So, what now? I guess we better introduce ourselves then. My name is Hermathio Kelantharos. I am from an orphanage and I'm 17 years old. I have no idea where I am and why we were called here. I don't suppose any of you have an idea then?"

Jeremy noticed the climb getting easier as he went up. It seemed that everywhere on his way up the slope was suddenly devoid of tussocks and slippery plants, although he could have sworn that the area had been pretty heavily overgrown... oh well, he was still feeling a bit off. He arrived at the offhang where the other two were located, and plopped himself clumsily down next to the pirate-looking girl. He listened to the boy's introduction and looked him over- his appearance, primarily his ears and hair, were a bit strange, but who was to say that it wasn't customary where he came from? "I'm Jeremy Houston, and I have no idea where I am. I don't live here, or anywhere close to it, I think- well, I don't know where I am, like I said. Uhh... I live at home with my...er, my mother, yeah I know, I'm twenty-four, I should be on my own, but... okay- that's it on me!" he said, having driven himself into a bit of an embarrassing spot. He unconsciously rubbed the back of his neck with his palm, grinning hastily. These two probably thought he was an idiot Momma's boy now, he had no doubt. Good job, Jeremy, just make yourself look stupid, his subconscious teased scathingly. Sorry, he told himself awkwardly, looking red-facedly away.

((I know, and I'm really sorry that I haven't been able to post. I've had a lot of things come up irl that I've been trying to deal with so my time online in the past few weeks has been quite limited. I should be able to post a reply here very soon, though. ))

"Well, I'm Margarette Caerphilly, 23 and an airship captain! I travel pretty much all of Europe, but I can safely say that I've never been here before! Plus, that woman didn't let me bring the Thysanthius along with me..." She put on a small, light-hearted pout. "Otherwise we'd have much more convenient transportation around here." With a small grunt, she picks herself off the ground and stands up, hands on her hips in a triumphant pose. "Anyways, 'snice to meet the two of ya~ But we probably shouldn't waste anytime sitting and chatting. We can talk while hunting around for a place to set up camp if we wanna." She took a quick look around, but was disappointed to find no suitable places to set up anywhere near them. "Think we should try going up the mountain? I have a feeling there's something better up thataway..."

Hermathios nodded and gestured for them to follow him. He wanted to be able to be able to pull the brush from ahead of them so they would not encounter any resistance via plants. He also knew that he would be the best at finding shelter and water nearby. " You guys coming?"

Recovering from his social blunder, Jeremy closed his mouth and listened to the girl talk. An airship captain? What the heck was an airship? Like, a ship, flying in the air? He would dismiss those words. His hearing must still be funny from that wormhole space travel or whatever it had been. He was still feeling rather disoriented, after all. These two were a bit strange, it seemed, or at least strange for where he came from. In his world, if, indeed the were not from it, there were no airships, and people did not usually stride about looking like green-haired elves. But he reckoned that teaming up with this unlikely pair would be better than roughing it alone, so he followed them up the slope, feeling very much like a lost-and-found puppy.

"Yep, I'm right behind ya!" Margarette calls out, following behind Hermathios as he took the lead in their exploration. He at least appeared to know where he was going, and Margarette was willing to invest her trust in anyone and everyone until they gave her a reason to doubt them or their abilities. Excitement swelled inside her chest, building up to the point she found herself having an extreme burst of energy. She was on an adventure! Even though she'd been separated from her precious ship, that didn't mean she couldn't have fun here! She'd been stranded in worse places before. Or so she thought. She back to Jeremy, still as smiley as always. "So, you ready for an adventure?"

Hermathios' eyes opened wide as he found a prefect place for shelter. He realized suddenly that he couldn't walk straight into it because the water and shelter was quite hidden among the plants that had told him of the area. He had heard of something before that allowed people to find water without having his unique ability. He remembered that when he heard it he had thought that maybe someone else had powers like his, but quickly found it was a hoax. Water witching! That was it! Hermathios stopped at the side of a tree and picked up a good stick. He then proceeded to swing it in front of him and headed towards the direction of the shelter, hoping the others would buy it. At least there would be a nice dry cave to sit in later..

Hermathio is caught off guard as something green drops from above. It thrashes about for a second before it turns on them. Suddenly Hermathio is dropped to the ground. Voices. Everywhere. The plants scream around him. Help us! Stop it! Hermathio glances at the creature and sees it slowly sucking the green from the tree next to it. The tree slowly starts to turn gray, and the voices just get louder. Hermathio realizes he cant just have a twitch of his fingers to stop this beast. He tries it at first just to throw thorns around the creatures ankles, but it doesn't work. Hermathio realizes he cant just have a twitch of his fingers to stop this beast. The screaming continues...
