 ENTRY 1 - My name is Mimi!

Oh... this is fun! Hehe!
This is the first time I'm writing in a journal, and it's quite different from talking to others about it, but the cook said that I should learn to make this a regular habit. She said keeping a journal will help me keep track of things... I wonder why she said that?
But I have to admit this is a lot of fun! She told me to start my first entry off by writing about myself, and that writing in this diary is like talking to a dear friend. Well... then, it's very nice to meet you Mr. Diary! *giggles*
She even promised to give me some extra cookies at mealtime if I show that I do my best to make an entry at least once a week. Mmm! I love her chocolate chip cookies. They're so yummyyyyyyyyyyy
Hmm... well, what should I write about? Mmm... well, my name is Mimi, hehe, and I'm 14 years old... I know you have to be at least 17 years old to be in the army, but it sounded really fun! I just asked really really nicely, and after a while, they finally said yes! Hehe, I was so happy! They told me not to wander off by myself though, and to always stick close to older pawns. I wonder why... I'm big enough to take care of myself, Mommy even said so! Though... I guess I should of told Mommy and Daddy that I joined the army. But it's ok! The cook lady told them I was staying with her and that she'd take care of me! Hehe, I really like the cook lady. She's so nice to me, and always gives me some candy after meals. She told me that I remind her of her niece. I'd like to meet her one day! I wonder why she doesn't talk about her much...
*Yawns* Well, it's getting late!
One of the soldiers said they're going to teach me how to use a sword. Yay! It sounds like fun!
I'd better sleep early so that I have lots of energy during practice.

ENTRY 2 - A new friend!

Hi Mr. Journal! It's me again!
So today, I started my training! I'm still not used to using a sword, and I have to admit that it wasn't as fun as it sounded at first, but the other pawns kept encouraging me, so I didn't give up! I can now lift the sword above my waist. Yay!
I also ran into a Noir today. My first Noir! He's really tall, and his name is Lokiki! It was my first battle, and there were a lot of things I still wasn't used to, but he was really nice! He even said I looked cute, hehe! He wasn't anything like what the other pawns told me about Noirs. He wasn't mean, smelly, or have sharp teeth and nails... though I couldn't see his teeth since he was wearing a mask. I wonder why he wears one?
Anyways, while we battled, he asked what he would get if he won, and I wasn't sure... I heard we had to give something of ours away if we lost to a Noir or Hong, but I wasn't sure what I had to give away... except my hair ribbon.
In the end, he asked for a date, which made me really happy, because I would get to keep my ribbon! But... I didn't know what a date was. And I still don't really know what it is, since he wouldn't tell me. :c
But in the end he won! I guess I still need a lot more practice! And... maybe I should pay attention more. So we're going on a date! I'm going to go to the cook lady and ask her to help me make some yummy sandwiches and cookies to bring to the date, since a date wouldn't be fun without food! And Miss Cook's yummy jelly sandwiches are the bestttttttt.
But first, I better go see the doctor about these bumps and bruises. My knee is starting to hurt a little from falling...
I will tell you all about the date later, Mr. Journal.

ENTRY 3 - Horns!

My 3rd journal entry! Mrs. Cook will be so proud of me!
Today, I met another Noir! His name is Emmy, and... he's a demon! I've never seen a demon before... but he has curly curly horns! They look so pretty! I wonder if he would let me pet them if I asked nicely...
Mr. Demon-horn is pretty nice, though not as nice as Lokiki. He keeps calling me "Little Mimi", even though I'm a big girl! It's ok though, because he has this really funny laugh. It sounds like he's saying "Key!Key!Key!" really fast! It makes me giggle.
Half-way through the battle, I began to get really sleepy and tired, and I couldn't really lift my sword very high. I think I ended up losing, and fell asleep right after. I don't remember much of what happened after, but I remember waking up in the courtyard later with several pawns looking down at me. Everyone looked really worried and told me to go to the doctor's office, but I told them I was fine, really! They still made me go see the nurse, and she just told me to get some rest. I don't remember sleeping so much before...
After that nap though, I felt a lot better! Ms. Cook even prepared some cookies and milk for me. Yay! She said that even though I lost, she could see I was growing up and learning to be a big girl. She even told me that now that I've grown up a bit, she's going to give me an errand to do. Yay! I can't wait!
I'm really excited to find out what this errand will be! But she said I will have to wait until tomorrow, since it's already late. I don't think I can sleep tonight though. I'm too exciteddddddddddd
Maybe you can keep me company until tomorrow comes, Mr. Journal?
... Uh-oh, I think I hear the guards walking around outside. If they catch me still awake, they might tell Mrs. Cook, then I won't be able to go on that errand.
Noooooooooooooooooooooo, I better try to sleep then.

ENTRY 5 - I just can't win!

Oh Mr. Journal, I'm so saddddddddddddddd.
I had my 3rd battle today, and I lost again.
I thought will the experience I got from the last two, I'd do better, but I guess not. o n o
It wasn't another Noir this time, but a Hong.
It was my first time seeing one!
He didn't seem to like to talk a lot and was really quiet.
Even though it seemed like he couldn't see with his hair covering his eyes, he was really strong!
He returned a lot of my attacks, and I couldn't block them at all! I ended up losing really fast...
We talked a bit during the battle, and I told him I really liked his flower crown. I wonder if I should make one also! But I recently got a butterfly hairclip, so I probably shouldn't be greedy...
He told me that my hair ribbon was colourful, which made me really happy, but when we were almost finished the battle, he said we probably wouldn't be seeing each other again. That made me really sad! Was it because he didn't like me?
After the battle, he seemed a lot more friendly, and even though I couldn't see his eyes, I think he actually SMILED at me! I waved to him as he left.
I hope I get to see him again soon! And maybe next time, if we fight again, maybe, just maybe, I'll win? o u o
Or not, hehe, but I want to see him again. I wish I remembered what his name was...
Oh oh OH! I forgot to tell you! Mrs. Cook told me that there'll be something happening tomorrow?
Is it another errand? I hope I can go grocery shopping again! My candy supply is running low.
Well, I guess this is bye for now.

ENTRY 6 - A New Partner!

I finally found the girl named Wren that Queen Helsa told me to find! But... it wasn't easy trying to bring her back. I had trouble finding her also! I looked EVERYWHEREEEEEEEEEEE, but everytime I caught sight of her, she ran away!
Luckily, I finally ended up catching up with her, but she wouldn't come back with me to see Queen Helsa, even after I told her how pretty she was. :C
We ended up making a deal though. We would fight, and if I ended up winning, she would have to come back with me. If she won, she would get to run away.
I... I hope I made the right decision. I've... never won a battle before. o A o
Oh... Queen Helsa will be so mad if I let her run away. ; n ;
B-but, I'm not alone this time! I... have Jelly! o u o
Queen Helsa lent him to me to help us catch Wren, but... I guess he's not really "mine"... at least, not unless I'm successful.
So... we ended up fighting! I... wasn't really strong, but Jelly helped me a lot!
After a while, we ended up beating her. Hooray!
She agreed to come back with me, and after we met Queen Helsa, she was allowed to leave, and I got to keep Jelly.
Oh journal, I'm so happy!
I hear there's actually more...more... ho... um, Jelly-thingies! Different kinds! And they all help you in battles in different ways.
I hope I get to meet more. I know Jelly would be happy to have more friends.
Today was such an amazing day, journal.

ENTRY 7 - Strength and Power

Oh gosh, I'm sooooooooooooooooooo tired today!
Today, I fought another soldier, and she's from a kingdom I never heard of!
Prof... prof... prof-fee...
I don't remember how to say it. o A o
I'm still not too confident about my fighting skills, but I'm not fighting alone anymore! o u o
Ever since I finished the first errand that Queen Helsa gave me and Sai-sai, she gave both of us a ho...homomo... Darn it, I still can't remember. :C
It's a, um, pet-thing! Mine looks different from Sai-sai, since his is supposed to be a helping kind! Something like... giving you support? The one I got helps me attack. Jellyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy = u =
The battle started, and I was off to a pretty good start! With Jelly's help, we were almost able to beat her! But then she started to eat some healing leaves, and also had some kind of special attack that was REALLY powerful. She ended up beating Jelly, and he passed out!
I was told if he was defeated in battle, I wouldn't be able to bring him back until after the battle was done. I hope I have enough healing leaves to bring him back. o n o
Without Jelly's help, it was really hard. I had to use a lot of healing leaves too. A total of 5! I even tried using some of those special things that Mrs.Cook secretly gave me. There was this pretty Ice Crystal thing that ended up making her freeze, letting me get in an extra attack, and there was also a Really sweet drink that Mrs.Cook made for me, that gave me the energy to attack again. But even after all that, she ended up winning. ><
I guess... this shows that even with all the pets and items in the world, unless you try really hard and work and train really hard, you won't be able to win. I learned a lot from this battle! Too bad... I never learned her name. D:
I hope I'll get to see her again in the future. Maybe I can ask her for fighting tips, and maybe a re-match!
That would have to wait until another day, since I had to bring Jelly home to heal. I ended up feeding him 2 Verdant leaves, which perked him right up! He wasn't at full health, but it was enough for him to be able to move around and fight.
Although I lost this fight, I hope I'll be able to train and work hard so that I'll be able to win another fight again. I won't let you down Jelly, Mrs. Cook!

 EVENT: Part 3: Is this Paradise?

To His Majesty King Sable,
I am deeply sorry for this letter's lack of formality, but I do not believe I have much time. I have sent multiple copies of this letter in the hopes that at least one will reach you from a remote location as this.
On the border of Prophylaxis near Ornan, I heard a conversation between two Prophylaxis Guards on the subject of the Gate of Paradise. Normally, one would quickly escape to avoid their ire, but I was injured and so hid myself instead.
The Gates, they said, were regaining color. Comments were made about how it used to shine like the sun. If what they say is indeed true, and I have little doubt it isn't, the Gate may be approaching a state in which it could be forced open. I wish I had more concrete information to tell you, but they quickly cut their conversation short and moved away.
However, on the subject of the task you assigned me, your suspicions about why only a Prophylaxis Guard can he approach the vicinity of the gate is confirmed. You know that despite all of my efforts to get as close to the Gate as possible without being seen that one blink and I am at the borders between Prophylaxis and our Kingdom. I have not even been able to glimpse the tops of its arch before being sent back to the border by some strange power.
I have observed Blanc and Noir soldiers alike making it a certain distance into Prophylaxis before fading out of existence. Presumably to the border. However, some I have seen simply pause and turn around without preamble.
I have no conclusions to offer as this baffles me. I am sure you have a greater idea of what this means than I.

I could only repeat parts of the letter in my mind, as I tried to ponder the meaning of it.
Could it really be true? Could this war finally be ending?
We had fought so long, done so much...

I'm sure we aren't the one worrying about this. I couldn't help but think about Lokiki and Emmy. What did... they think about all this? I know that the Blanc and Noir views are different, but I can't help... maybe... they would want this war to end too? And... what about that Hong... whose name I keep forgetting. Would he want this war to end too?
...Actually, I'm not sure about him. He may... actually like war. o-o

Looking back on the past two events, I feel... there may be some connection between all this...
The lost letters, the messengers... even Wren... (I miss her!)

I only wish I could somehow piece all these clues together, but no matter how hard I try, I feel like I'm always missing a part... a really important clue.
Even when talking to Mrs. Cook, she too didn't really understand.
But there's one thing we all agree on. There's nothing more we want then for this war to end.
