OKAY Plot and Such!

So we, at this point an time, have a total of four people with characters for this RP.

As a REMINDER everyone will be starting off in Tokio. This is to make things easier because Tokio is the only City where there are no pass codes needed to travel into with! Keep in mind, Tokio may look pretty and nice, but even the brightest place holds deep dark secrets. Tokio is a dark place in almost every aspect, but also one of the cities most dependent upon out dated Electricity.

Which brings me to part one of the plot!

Every time something happens that is going to take the story for a wild ride, I will post it here. Keep watch and be prepared!

Very soon, something will happen, something that will leave a lot of people, quite literally, in the dark.

Max Xiedi
Current location: Tokio, a burnt up underground lab of a former the Xiedi Clinics

"Here boy, Rue. I found some metal scraps for you."

Max laid out the remains of metal centrifuge she found. The mystrille tiger happily pranced over. He had been unsatisfactorily chewing up an empty wooden crate. It didn't have quite the same crunch as iron or aluminum. Or even glass would taste better than wooden splinters, except that the broken shards were difficult to find in this lab. Gang after gang sacked this place and other places like it, stripping down the once majestic clinics into bare, tattered ruins. This underground section, though just as empty as anywhere else, was still the most out-of-sight place.

It had been four days since her family was massacred. She had had no contact with any family members, and knew not of where they were, if any still remained. It took three days of meditation to get rid the image of her mother burning to death. Her beautiful, wild hair had exploded in fury as she wailed her last, haunting scream. She hadn’t been so sure about her father, but yesterday she felt it; an involuntary shutter had rippled through her system and she knew he was dead. Along with him, her whole extended family was missing. How many dead? And how many tormented by the dead, like she was?

But her family had taught her to forget the past. That is what she dedicated her soul to do, with the help of self-acupuncture. She had put needles on various acupuncture points in hopes of repressing emotions. Max wanted to think clearly.

She knew she had to leave Tokio. The gangs were more active at night, so she decided to wait until sunrise of tomorrow morning. Where she was going, she wasn’t sure. Eager for human companionship of some sort, her impulsivity told her to go to Cairo, where her traditional skills might be accepted. But there was no sure way to get there. If she could find somebody to give her a transportation code… but that solution was far too ideal. She could also attempt traveling outside of the GRID… but that was incredibly dumb, unless she could create her own shield against radiation. That would most likely involve taking a trip to old Japan, to hunt down some materials. That seemed a more feasible idea...

Max smiled. “Hey Rue, I know a place you could eat your heart out…”

Kalli dug around in her bag, looking around for a fine bristle brush and a clean cloth. She knew it was in there somewhere, and she refused to dig any deeper until she found what she needed. Before her spread the massive ruins of a city almost two hours travel from outside the grid. The name had long ago fade from any sign, but she estimated she was in what used to be Tianjin.

Right now she was in front of a dried up lake, crisscrossed by crumbling bridges and arch ways. In her minds eye, she saw the beauty of what used to be, but she was faced by a reality of sandy desert and a harsh sun that continued to beat upon her back. She looked around making sure all was clear before heading down in the dry bed of the lake. Not to far down she spotted the reflective material that had caught her eye, and patiently went to digging the item from the earth. She was rewarded when after only moments she was able to ply her treasure from the earth.

An old style earth pistol possibly from the early 1900's. The chamber was full of dirt, but it was nothing a good soaking in a metal solution wouldn't solve. At one time, it had possibly been discarded into the lake in order to get rid of evidence of a murder, but today it was unearthed as a very valuable item for the black market or the highest bidding collector.

Wrapping the gun in the cloth, she set it lightly in the bottom of her satchel before beginning her trek back up the embankment.

Her motor cycle sat in the shade of what at on point had been a magnificent sky scraper, and she approached it with caution. It seemed awfully quiet... then she heard it. The low humming pur of a Figress.

The cat like animal sat some hunded feet away, its sand colored skin blending perfectly as it hunched it shoulders, preparing to launch at Kalli.

Kalli brought out her night sticks, and brought the shock level as high as it would go.

"Come on kitty kitty, your pelt wouldput food on my table for weeks, not to mention how much your meat would sell for!"

The cat launched, but Kalli skillfully dodged out of the way, tapping the cat on the head with the cane, not damaging him in any way, but shocking the hell out of him all the same. The cat failed to land gracefully, and got up, having to shake his head before launching himself at the Russian again. This time Kalli struck between the shoulders, and as close to the heart as she could get. Kitty was dead before his heart could beat again.

"Well Damn...." She looked at the bike and then the cat. He was slightly smaller then his extinct cousin the tiger, but still easily weighed a hundred pounds... sighing she wrapped him up in a sheet and tied him onto the back of her bike. It would have to do for now.

Ivan was fleeing from the Mob. His nosing about didn't blow over so well with the mob boss Zitier and he ordered an immediate execution of 17 year old Ivan Gar'ix.

Ivan had been running for a whole day now and the sound of surprise gunfire could no longer be heard coming his direction. Ivan knew he may come in contact with a hawk and any given moment and be killed by it, for foolishly leaving the grid but he had no choice but to take that chance. He knew that if he stayed back in Rome he would be hunted down for sure. Ivan slowly came to a stop panting, sweaty and out of breath the lent forward and perched his body up with his hands over his knees. He stayed that way for a few minutes catching his breath and thinking where he should go from there. Ivan stood up straight and looked around, finally aware of the danger of being outside the grid. He noticed a large dried up lake some distance ahead and a few tall deserted building casting shadows that lead to it.

He quickly fell to his knees as to duck for cover and quietly made his way the nearest building, as if to have been covertly traveling this whole time. How he made it out of Rome alive not even the New Lord would know. He crashed up against the call once he made it and took in the cool feeling of the stone wall against his back and slowly fell to a siting position. He carried a sack with him with a few stolen valuables he managed to snatch up as soon as he heard about his sentence. He figured why now he was dead to them anyway.

"Awwl bug! I oun't thing I got any food!"

He searched the back with much surprise and tinkered with the few electronic devices he pilfered everything seeming new to him as if he's seen it for the first time. He did after all snatch what ever met his hands while he was running. He noticed a chrome laptop among the things he got and quickly took it out to see what kind it was.

"Haah! Ah niiice~ This is a UNL-series!"

Ivan completely forgetting he was outside and on the run made himself more comfortable against the cool wall in the shadows and felt a hard bump on his back. He reached back and removed the titanium hockey stick he had resting under his belt and over his back. He removed it from his back and layed it at his side and began tinkering with the laptop carefree of everything else in the world.

Well this was a strange turn of events. Rarely did Kalli run into people outside the Grid, unless of course they were Hawks. But here was a kid, seemingly oblivious to the world, maybe two hundred feet away. Even if the Motorcycle ran on fission instead of gas, it still made a hell of a noise.

She turned off the motorcycle and watched the kid tinker with the laptop, and raised an eyebrow at the hockey stick. Well at least he had a weapon, and at least it wasn't wood. She made sure her night sticks were visible and took a sip of water. She should have went on, but despite the kids fixation with the laptop, he looked a little worn. She couldn't very well leave him.... then she'd be no better then the mercenaries who claimed to be grid travelers.

"Hey, Kid." She called hoping to get his attention.

Ivan was completely fixated on the computer and did not notice the young woman calling out to him.

A few moments passed and as the shadow moved closer and closer to the edge of the wall the exposed corner of the laptop caught a ray of light and beamed into his right eye. Snapping out of his fascinated state he closed the laptop realizing he had been wasting time he could have been utilizing by finding a safe place to go back to. He stretched his arms up and out letting them drop to his sides his right landing on top of the hockey stick handle.

Ivan still blinking his eyes he turned his head to his right and noticed the woman standing a few feet next to him. His expression changed to shock and his eyes widened as it dawned on him he had captured by a mob gangster. He quickly jumped to his feet clutching the handle to the hockey stick the flat end going out behind him. The woman seemed to react to his actions by gripping the handles of what looked like guns to him at that distance, so he stood still and watched her.

He though he'd try to reason with the woman and try to appeal to her sympathy but no words would come to mind.

"Woah woah woah, take it easy!" Kalli Pulled her hands away from her nightsticks and held them so the boy could see her hands were empty. "I'm not gonna hurt you...." she looked around, making sure this wasn't some sort of trap before moving any closer.

"Just wondering how the H E double hockey sticks you managed to make it this far into the middle of no where, and for that matter why?"
PostPosted: Wed Jul 06, 2011 10:52 pm

Ivan's vision cleared and he got a better look at the woman and felt more relaxed to see how young his alleged gangster was. His chest was still pounding and his breaths were jagged though. He realized he must he must have looked pitiful so he tried to play it off a bit by easing the hockey stick back under his belt before he straightened up. As luck would have it he found another person that might be able to help him.

"I'm on the-"

Ivan froze and looked down for a split second. He decided against confessing he was a wanted target of the mob and said what came to mind without thinking.

"-the-this JOURNEY to find some treasure to take back home...-but I got lost you see. You got a place nearby?"

"Well, no.... you don't spend the night outside the grid if you can help it... and most of the building in this city still have radiation trapped in side..."

Kalli looked the kid over again. It must have been one hell of journey. She thought to her self, thinking about whether or not to tell him about the bunker she had found last year. It didn't really matter, she had cleared out the supplies already, and it was one of the safer places to stay... getting to it however.... one of the building had caved in last month, and she hadn't checked to see if it was even still accessible.

"I actually live in Tokio, however there's a bunker under the old broadcasting station..." She pointed right down the road. Grabbing her bike she started walking it past the kid, then turned back to look at him.

"Come on then. If the cave in didn't block the entrance, it'd be the best place to stay if you're determined to be out here over night. I'll show you how to get in."

Because the underground lab had no windows, Max booted up Rue's computer. It was 7:00, almost time for the gangs to make their daily sackings.

She had already sealed the main doorway shut with a couple of nuts and bolts. But in case of emergency, she could crawl through one of the two air-vent holes. However, there was no way Rue could get through those... unless Max disassembled him.

Rue seemed to sense her intentions, and gave off a quiet whimper.
Max sighed. She would miss her companion for the next couple of days.

"Here boy. I need to turn you off now." Hesitantly, Max hugged Rue's metallic head, then opened the keypad on his belly, entering the shutdown passcode. beep beeep boop boop beep. nrrrrooo. His eyes grew dim, and he assumed a sitting position. Max took out her tool bag. It was time to do the dirty. Before she started working, she set up a sand time-telling apparatus. She had until daybreak.

After removing plate after plate, she was down to disassembling his inner parts. The plates together only measured as long as her forearm and as wide as her foot. She had designed the plates and interior mechanical parts for convenient storage. The parts together would still be only as long as her forearm, as wide as her foot, and as high as her hand. Rue was mostly empty space.

Suddenly, the first whirrring sound of motorcycles made their appearance. Working a bit more diligently, Max became aware of the eminent dangers. She hoped they would not find her tonight.

Ivan held onto Kalli's waist firmly as they made their way down the road, to the bunker she mentioned before.

He focused hard on the road before them watching the patters of the building ruins change. He clenched his left eye shut as the wind pelted him with dust and dirt from the dry land. His skin color was lightly tan before they began their drive, now he had the complexion of someone who was outside in the sun often. Since he was wearing only a pair of black cargo pants and a loose fitting tank top his dust tan was through.

He was very aware of their other other passenger aboard the bike and he tired no to think about the dead animal tied to the seat behind his back. It made him uncomfortable every time it crossed his mind and he reacted by reminding himself he had his hands on Kalli and squeezed a bit tighter. The dust did not bother his right eye since it was a Gen Mod he had since he lost his eye as a child. He did from time to time blink repeatedly to get the dust out when his vision was clouded though.

Cherry didn't linger far from the GRID, but was carrying her pen in case.
"K, Charlene was probably around this area, so..."
Cherry blinked a couple of times. She had switched her viewing mode to UVA light mode.
"Should leave some prints..."
Cherry knelt down on the floor.
Her hair was flying all around from the wind. Cherry had decided to leave it down, knowing not many people would come out of the GRID. (Real smart for a girl with nearly 7ft long hair.) As soon as the wind died down, her hair settled down. But, as soon as it did, a motorcycle wizzed by. Straight across her hair.
The pain went right to her lips.
"Ohmigawd, what the HELL was THAT?"
