Mikani had grown used to the pain of needles long ago. She still felt them but it was more of an annoyance than painful now. Her sensitive hearing easily picked up Zero's words and curiosity lit her eyes. Did he just apologize? Why was he apologizing when none of the others ever had? And what was he sorry about? It didn't make any sense to her. Mikani lay there waiting for several minutes, but she didn't feel any different nor did she taste any blood. How long will this take? Seventy-three thought and closed her eyes.

Zero fiddled around with a few switches and buttons and then patiently waited as Mikani slowly began to jolt and quiver. She didn't scream however or make much noise at all. it was as if this was simply procedure and she was long used to pain now. the scientist watched her in curiosity wondering why she wasn't asking for help as the others had before. Several minutes had passed and she finally lay still. At first Zero was afraid she wasn't breathing, but soon she got up groggily. Zero made a few notes and played with is computer before carefully stepping out of the room and touching her ice cold hand. That was a good sign, she was supposed to be cold, but yet he was still very uncertain as to if it had fully worked.
"How do you feel? He asked gently.

Mikani waited through the shocks, her body moving involuntarily. When they were over she lay there for a moment then sat up and rubbed her eyes. She was starting to sit up when his hand touched her's. It was so warm, or perhaps her's was cold? She wasn't shivering though, how odd. How do I feel? Why would he, oh right, experiment. Mika thought with a laugh, she was still puzzled about his earlier question. "I feel fine, same as usual. Though, I think my body is cold, that or you've got a fever." She shrugged and hopped off the table then leaned against it. It didn't take long for her to 'wake up,' Mika had been here so long she was used to almost everything.

Zero's eyebrows raised in surprise and dissapointment. He cocked his head to one side and stared at Mikani. When she tried to get up he pushed her back down on the bed.
"Tut tut tut." He urged and wipped out a popcicle stick and pressed down on her tongue, examining her throat. he wasnt surprised when she didnt gag from the wooden stick.
Zero examined a few more things testing her pulse and tapping on her knee like a proffessional. Her reflexes were a little delayed and her throat looked swollen.
Zero sighed and pushed his glasses off his face to rub his eyes.
"How many times have you been experimengted on...?" He asked in obvious distress and concern.
"I was so sure..." He mumbled under his breath.

Mikani sighed and lay back on the hard surface when he pushed her. She noticed with surprise that her reflexes were slower than usual, maybe the sedatives hadn't completely worn off yet. She laughed at his question, the girl couldn't help it. All her years here and he expected her to know how many times they had tried things on her? "Do you really expect me to keep track of that? I've been here for more than a century and it's not like that's something I want to keep track of." Again her enhanced hearing picked up his words, though this time Mikani thought of something she hadn't before. Maybe it was because of her mother, her angel side that his experiment had failed. She was already partly immortal after all.

Zero stared at her blankly and didn't say a word as he went about feeling her pulse. He knew she was already part immortal but he was sure that the needle was strong enough to push through it. He had dealt with immortal experiments before, and knew that their body and blood were much tougher than that of just a mortal. He thought he had finally perfected it. Or maybe she just needed a stronger dose. Zero looked back at her noticing her still freezing hands and smiled lightly.
" you may go " he said very gently.

Mikani nodded and hopped off the hard steel once more. As the girl turned to leave she pretended to lose her balance, knocking into him lightly. Her hand slipped into Zero's pocket to check for a key, Mika had become so good at pick-pocketing over the years that her 'victims' didn't feel a thing. Even if they did it only felt like a light touch, like cloth brushing against them. ((If there's something you want to happen PM me and we can talk it over. :3 An you can decide if there's something for her to find.))

13 sighed and stretched her muscles as best she could considering she was chained to the wall with very little movement. She could hear everything going on around her, yet none of it seemed to matter anymore. Where was he? She wondered yet again, in between trying to remember her name.
