"You're refreshing," Kirra commented, as he moved to follow her back to her pond. There was a sparkle in his eyes, and a definite bounce to his step. His tail flicked about lazily, but his ears were up and eager, following her every movement.

Dream moved her way towards the pond not stopping until she got there. She dropped her kill next to the pond then settled down to eat it. "So you going to follow me around all night?" She then tore into the tender belly of the rabbit spilling it's intestines and blood out.

"Maybe I will," Kirra said, dropping down to lay beside the pond, the picture of lazy contentment. One paw trailed in the water, but his eyes were on her. "I certainly have nothing better to do. What about you? What are your plans for the night?"

Dream stopped long enough to answer. "I never make plans other then doing what comes to mind at the moment." She eyed him long and hard. "Well if you are going to stick around, you might as well tell me your name. I'm WakingDream but for short you can call me Dream." She returned to eating her rabbit. Her teeth cracking bones and shredding the meat.

"You are that," he murmured, eyes twinkling as he rolled, stretching, onto his back for a moment, his tail flicking against the ground. When he rolled back, he smiled. "I'm Kirra. Nothing short about it."

Dream finished off her meal leaving a bit for later. She got up taking her leftover to her den. She returned then sat next to the pond. "So then where is your territory?" She started cleaning her muzzle. "And what has brought you to mine?"

"I have no territory," Kirra said, his voice firm but cheerful. "I may never have one of my own." He paused a moment, then added, "I like to travel... see new places. Meet new leawyn." The last was said low and almost purring.

Dream quirked an eyebrow. "Ohhh a rogue then. So after tonight I will never see you again?" She started cleaning herself again, flicking her tail back and forth.

"Oh, I never said that," Kirra countered, rising suddenly, and stretching, his tail up. "It can be very enjoyable, revisiting old territories... seeing old friends. Really, Dream, you ought to try a bit of travel. I think everyone should!"

Dream continued to clean herself until she was satisfied that all the blood was off her. "Well why don't you show me for yourself? Or you scared I might cramp your style?" She winked at him.

Now that was an unexpected challenge... Kirra offered her a lopsided grin. "I think traveling with you for a while might just be a delight," he said, meaning every word as he moved a little closer to her. "But I'm curious... have you ever thought of it before? Wondered what it would be like? Maybe you even have a direction you'd like to travel in..."

Dream eyed him. "No I have not. I'm rather content with my wonderful little pond. I have all I will ever need here." She grinned at him. "Have you ever thought about stopping and staying a while?"

"You, Dream, take great delight in trying to turn me all about, don't you?" Kirra laughed. "You seem to encourage me to help feed you, and then show me exactly what a magnificent huntress you are. You suggest we travel together, then follow it up with what sounds to me like an invitation to settle down." His eyes sparkled with pleasure at it all, and he moved to settle down just next to her, something warm in those eyes. "As it happens, there are a couple of places I've stayed a while before. The question before me is... are you going to do what those vixen did? Do you think you can really change me?" There was a challenge in that look, but behind it, there almost seemed to be a tiny, thin thread of fear.

Dream smirked starting to preen her tail. "What makes you think I want you to stay?" She plucked a loose leaf then dropped it next to him. "What makes you think you are even good enough to be seen around me?" She have her head a little toss. "You males are only good for one thing. And you've yet to show that you qualify for such things." She winked at him.

 Kirra chortled at that, the fear in his eyes fading. Warm and cool, just like the days and nights. But such things didn't frustrate or disappoint him. Instead, they only served as challenge and fun, and he wasn't one to wail about missed opportunities. "Well," he said, his voice just as carefree as ever. "I'm glad to know we're good for one thing, at least. It'd be a shame if we weren't good for anything at all." He didn't rise to her bait about his abilities. There was no need. If he hadn't at least slightly interested her, they wouldn't still be sharing quips. It wasn't enough to guarantee him a place in her den for a day or two of fun, but it was a start at friendship, at the very least.
