'My Soldier' made me think of a story I read once, I don't remember where, and was well written and I applaud Almea's critique and your revision.
'Blueberry Muffins' was awesome! I always love poems about anything spiritual!
'Field Guardian's' first stanza made me think of a soldier on a battlefield. The second made me realize it was a scarecrow and made me think of the Wizard of Oz, then I read on and found out it was supposed to be about the Scarecrow and I felt momentarily out of it.
I'll be back to comment on your others because I'm being yelled at top get off.

Happy Valentine's Day, all! I love this holiday (not usually, but this year's different. I'm finally okay with the fact that I haven't found true love yet... I mean, honestly, I'm only 14!!) I have another joy to share with you! In honor of all those who still think of Valentine's as a dark holiday, here's to you. Have fun...
The Perfect Lullaby Tears are the perfect lullaby, the perfect song for every goodbye, the answer to every question why, and the story after every lie.
Don't question what you know is true. Don't tell me I didn't love you. Don't bring around someone new. Just don't tell me what to do.
You can't see my loneliness. You can't clean all this mess. You can't fix this damn stress. And I can't have you, I guess.
Lie to me like never before, tell me you'll love me forever more. My blood for you, I shall pour if you promise to re-open that door.
If this is how it must end, don't come back and say we're friends. On my own, my heart can mend, as long as you, to Hell, shall descend.
Hugs and Love to All! heart

I wrote this one back in 6th grade when I was still crazy enough to think I could be famous someday... (it's a song, btw)
=One Thing= Locked in the realms of darkness, no way to get me out of here. There's only one thing I can think of that can help me see clear.
You're the one thing that can help me. You're the one thing that can make me happy. You're the one thing. My one thing.
Waitin' for half an hour, in the pouring rain. There's only one thing that can make me believe again.
You're the one thing that can show me there's more to life than it seems. There's only one thing in life that can confirm my dreams. You're the one thing My one thing The only thing My one thing.
Locked in the realms of darkness, I found my way out of here. The only way I'll reach my dreams is with that one thing.
You're the one thing in my life that keeps me movin' on. Life was dead I overcame because of my one thing.

Brand spankin' new. Actually, I put it on OP/L first, but... hey, it's less than half an hour old... I just started typing, and this is what I got. Obvious that I didn't put much thought into it???
+I Can't Believe It's Not Another Cutting Poem!+ Shards of broken hearts fall upon the pages of an empty diary. Teen angst beats and bruises potential popularity. Looks like cherry-scented candle wax drips. Tastes like Dracula's breakfast beverage. Feels like falling off a thousand foot cliff. Sounds like you need a good therapist. Advice given more freely than supermarket samples. No one's willing to live it for you but all are willing to tell you what to do. A salt-water ocean floods from your eyes as you decide you don't have time to cry. With no proper way to end it you just stop. heart

Hrm... both your poems are nice-- but not particularly my style. Sure they work, but what are they really putting out? They're straight forward and in general require little creative thought. I don't know, I'm a free lance poet. I write words which barely string together, so its hard to adapt to this sort of 'up-front' work. Still, nice.

(Note: the title could be in reference to what's happening in the story or to how my poetry's been doing... sweatdrop )
}-It's Getting Worse-{ Hands shaking, pencil breaking. Truth be told we all know: Love's fake, Life takes. Can't go on; you're too far gone. Finish up. Fill the cup with your blood. Watch it flood. Done with that. Three black cats cross your path. Aftermath- Bad luck Plus semi truck. 3 days past, Flew by fast. You're gone. Later on, they find your cup. Open up with the note. The antidote to suicide. They won't cry til they read what they see 'He just didn't love me.'

C&P from OP/L: ~//Home\~ Ipod blaring the songs of autumn goodbyes and love-sick lullabies. Broken spirits fly in a town where cows are regarded more highly than women and men. Maturing young adults have no need to hurt because they'll find in their little city someone who cares enough to give them a place to stay and a few free cookies to eat. Teenagers grow up knowing everyone and having them all say, "I remember when you were just so tall and barely outta diapers." Embarassing, sure, but they don't care. This is their family. This is their home. heart

Heylo. I am going to attempt the form-of-the-month as chosen by Almea: the Abcderian. I didn't know whether to reply in that topic or to just go onto my own, so I guess I'll just put it here. Keep in mind that I'm not used to strong structure, so this may not come out very well...
Awkward silences are bubbling from the mouths of childish teenagers. Demonstrations of emerging hormones freely embarass their attempts at galvanizing a relationship. How could something so imperfect be so perfect? Just to keep a common knowledge of life and living, men and women must never understand such a question. Oven-baked cookies of infatuation produce such a queasy feeling in one's stomach that rivers of misunderstanding spew from the hearts of those who dare take a bite. Unnecessary, voluntary wishes convey such emotions that they x out all the rest of the universe. Young lust is impossible to zap from the more mature world. heart

Lyrics. Wrote them a while ago. They may seem kinda generic now, but when put to music, I think it's amazing (but, of course, I cannot show you sound over the internet) Love?
,.,.The Rest of Us.,., Let go of your damn pride. You know you're gonna die. Just like the rest of us Just like the rest of us
It's time that you decide to give up on life. Just like the rest of us Yeah, the rest of us.
{Chorus} You gotta learn my dear that nothin's gonna calm your fears. Everything's still gonna go away on your dying day. You gotta learn my love that you can rise above the rest of us. You're just like the rest of us.
Forget all of those times when love was in your eyes. Just like the rest of us Oh, the rest of us.
Don't even try to try to figure out what's right to the rest of us. Mhmm, the rest of us.
{Chorus}
You're no better than anyone. You can't conquer over the sun because you know that you are, truly, one of us.
{Chorus} Oh oh the rest of us.
Let go of your damn pride. You know you're gonna die. Just like the rest of us. heart

OP/L seemed to like it muchly. Just thought I'd share with you as well... **EDITED** --Chocolate Covered Strawberries-- Street fight takes place with fists flying faster than the wind and insults hurling themselves onto the hearts of their victims. Mud and blood mix to create that perfect color like strawberries doused in chocolate. Beads of sweat trickle down like falling fireworks' sparks. Their intense energy surmounts until a scream envelops the stiff, dry air. The red, white, and blue lights illuminate the deadly night as they blind the aggressors. Black and white are soon to be the only colors they're left to see.

EwMonkeys22 OP/L seemed to like it muchly. Just thought I'd share with you as well...--Chocolate Covered Strawberries--Street fight takes place with fists flying faster than the wind and insults hurling themselves onto the hearts of their victims. Mud and blood mix to create that perfect color like strawberries doused in chocolate. Enough angst to last years, they fight to the death or until the cops come and drag them apart. The red, white, and blue lights illuminate the deadly night as they blind the aggressors. Black and white are soon to be the only colors they're left to see. Pretty good job on this one, i love how you kick it off and the metaphor you use to describe the colour of a street fight - mud and blood relating to strawberries doused in chocolate, very original and colours these days are too bland in their description, especially with reddy colours, ie blood red or crimson, YAWN. So well done on this factor, however straight after this the poem lets itself down in the next four lines Enough angst to last years, they fight to the death or until the cops come and drag them apart. This is very ho-hum and it is just telling with no imagery whatsoever, it's just like yeah they hold a grudge - fight - and the outcome is either death of cops, very bland when compared to the rest of the poem, thankfully though the poem picks up again for the remainder and it finishes on a good note. However i would strongly suggest that you fix those four lines and invoke some fighting imagery and use a poetic tool in there somewhere like a similie or a metaphor to break things up and add some much needed interest for this part of the poem. Well done and i look forward to your next poem, thank you for posting.

Thank you Emjay, I changed that line to something a little different. Does it sound any better??? And another for you all to tear apart.
)))Guardian Angel of Death((( A black star falls across the dusk sky, clashing with the bright pastels of the setting sun. Yesterday your hourglass shattered under the pressures of the passing storm. Since you're so happy now, why would you bother to come back? But you did, showing off your new ability to light the sky. My dark angel.
