“That’s it! Lady Luck, challenge accepted.”

Sibel was standing on the front of the boat staring off into the distance where a dark purple smudge was marring the horizon. She hoped that it wasn’t going to storm and resisted the urge to take out her phone and check the weather radar. Somehow the possibility of a storm was even more terrifying on a ship than it was on land. That was probably because of the fact that they were only a few pieces of various materials away from drowning and lighting is attracted to high points… and metal… like this boat. Sibel looked away from the threatening clouds, telling herself not to think about that sort of thing; she would not get off the boat and she would certainly not be afraid.

She lifted her chin a little in a show of silent defiance against the clouds and the whole world in general and decided to focus instead on the people standing on the Warf. Sibel watched them waving and shouting things to those who were on deck. Really, this wasn’t a scene from Titanic; they were putting on quite a show.

There was nothing interesting out here apart from the waves and the waving people and she was about to head inside when the boat gave a heave and she overbalanced. She tottered over and ran into the rail, holding back an angry curse as she almost went overboard… Again. This brought the grand score to two for the boat and zero for Sibel.

White knuckled hands grasped the rail as she steeled herself for the perilous journey to the exit but after a few more pronounced rocks of the boat she thought better of it; It would be better for her to stay with the rail. Glancing over to the people beside her, she saw a young, sandy haired boy with his hair pulled back into a loose ponytail. She felt that she had seen him somewhere but she couldn’t remember where. Maybe she had read about him in the news. She smiled at him, hoping that he didn’t see her almost topple into the ocean. Pushing a few hairs out of her face she said a casual “Hey, the name’s Sibel” and offered him her hand to shake. She racked her brain for the name of the boy but despite her best efforts she couldn’t think what it was.

Alexander Clark
The Naive Successor

Alex was enjoying the view while the boat started to leave the port. It would have been nicer if people weren't waving like it was the end of the world though. They were quite loud. Of course no one he knew was there to say goodbye to anyway: maybe he was a bit bitter. No, that couldn't have been the case: he was used to such things after all. As the boat lurched even now and then; he noticed a lady with long dark brown hair acting a bit funny. It was as if she was holding on for dear life. A soft smile appeared on his face but he turned his attention toward the water below.

It was until the woman spoke that he looked at her. Alex was a bit surprised that she even talked to him. It's not like he was known yet. Well, maybe a select few outside of his new family knew of him: that he is the legal successor to the big financial company. Of course they didn't know he was a fake; after all, that would ruin all the plans. It didn't seem like this person knew of him though: she also didn't seem familiar in any way. It was possible that she wasn't of great importance. Of course he wasn't going to assume such a thing just because he didn't know her.

"You can call me Alex," he replied as he gave her a firm yet gentle handshake: they were important after all. You never wanted to be too weak or strong with your handshakes. They could reveal a lot about you if you aren't careful; thus, he was thought how to shake hands correctly. Of course you had to adjust a bit for each person. After all, not everyone had the same strength. Besides all that, he really had to make an effort to get used to shaking hands; after all, he has a tendency to get violent when someone touches him. Of course he is a lot better now; but still. "It's a pleasure to meet you," he continued after they finished their all-important shake. He let his hand drop to the side as he leaned against the railing with his other elbow. A smile graced his young girlish features after he spoke.

Normally he would introduce himself the correct way, with his whole name and all that jazz, but since she was so casual about it: he followed suit. Alex wasn't about to ask her what she did for a living either. That would only bring up questions about him: he didn't want to talk about such things right now. One thing he did notice, which made him turn to look out at the sea, was how massive this lady's chest was: not that he was rude enough to sneak a peek while they were introducing themselves. Even though they were contained in her outfit; they just seemed to be in his face. Maybe they were suffocating and just wanted to pop out to get a breather. 'Oh god! What am I thinking!?' He thought to himself as he covered his face with his free hand. A soft chuckled escaped him before he turned to look back at the first person he met on Lady Luck.

"Forgive me..." he apologized, "I just thought of something funny." Alex glanced out to sea for a moment before speaking again. "It looks like the water isn't as choppy as before...shall I accompany you inside?" It was true: the boat seemed steadier than before. Of course he merely asked because she seemed to be a bit skittish. He wasn't quite sure what she was so afraid of; but it didn't hurt to be nice. Right? Unless she took it the wrong way.

Alex stood up straight as he pushed himself off the railing. In reality, he didn't want to go inside because that was where everyone else was going now that they waved goodbye to their loved ones. Now that he thought about it, he couldn't see his fiancee anywhere as he scanned through the people on deck. Maybe Rebecca got distracted with something elsewhere. Honestly, that wouldn't be surprising. He returned his thoughts back to the lovely lady in front of him and gave her a smile as he waited for her to say something.

"Ah what a nice view!"

Jakin Eames

User Image

Jakin ordered a beer from the bar and sat, idly looking around as he waited for his drink to arrive. People all around them seemed to be occupied with their families and friends, and there were not many people around by themselves. He felt a pang of heartache as he thought about Dianna, but he quickly pushed it out of his head. "Here you go sir," the bartender slid a bottle of Corona down the bar. Jakin held up his hand and grabbed it, "Thanks".

He stood up and stretched out his legs. Taking a swig, he savored the cold beverage as he drank. This is where his vacation starts. Casually, he started strolling the decks, observing people as they passed and idly thinking about his days on the ship. Most of the people on the boat looked like they were upper class or at least above average. Probably just living their average life style right now... The fanciness of Lady Luck has not been lost on Jakin. This is the first time in a long time that he has been somewhere this nice, and it almost made him a little uncomfortable.

A wise man once told him that if he wanted to get somewhere else in life, he would have to step out of his comfort zone. He has always been outgoing and assertive, but the idea of work and wealth seemed so foreign. He shook his head, now is not the time to think about all this.

Spotting an open lounge chair with an ocean view, he sat down and laid back, sipping his Corona. Before him, just a few feet away, a man and a woman were engaged in conversation. The girl was a complete stranger, but he could have swear he's seen the man walking around town or something....He couldn't help but listen in on their conversation because they were so close.

“A mystery is only fun if it is hard to figure out.”

The young man gave Sibel a surprised look when she spoke but he seemed to recover quickly from the situation and shook her hand, if a little hesitantly. His pale hands were surprisingly soft as he put his hand in hers but the handshake was firm. "You can call me Alex," he said, carefully but politely and meeting her casual mien with casualness in return.

His name was a simple one, common enough that there was no information given away. A nagging feeling was left with her though, who was he? She knew that there was something important about this boy but she couldn’t put her finger on it. She dismissed the thought, resolving to ask around later; she hated it when she didn’t know things, leading to an almost insatiable curiosity about people.

"It's a pleasure to meet you," he continued after dropping her hand. Sibel nodded at him “Nice to meet you too. It’s always interesting to talk to new people,” she replied giving him a lovely smile. He leaned against the railing and looked out to sea. He almost looked like a girl with those long wavy locks, and fine features. A small smile crept over his face and after a while he covered his face with his hand, almost like he had forgotten something, and a soft chuckle escaped from his curved lips.

Not sure if Alex was laughing at her, Sibel waited for an explanation, one eyebrow raised quizzically. Alex turned back to look at her with perhaps the hint of colour touching his cheeks, maybe he was flushed with the cold; the wind had picked up now that they were starting to move at speed. "Forgive me..." he apologized, "I just thought of something funny," and he glanced back out to sea, not meeting her gaze. What was he thinking?

Her eyes narrowed suspiciously but she told herself to stay calm. She knew that she looked quite fine in a beautiful but casual style suit that used her greatest assets, her ample bust to be precise, to best effect. This wasn’t vanity talking, just the truth, otherwise she looked fairly plain, with dark eyes, straight, dark hair and an unremarkable face, neither ugly nor beautiful. There was nothing really there for him to laugh at her, so perhaps he was just thinking something funny and not her.

She replaced the calm, good-natured look back on her face. If he was important then she didn’t want to be hostile or moody towards him. “I do love a bit of humour” she hinted but Alex changed subject after a slight, almost awkward pause, or at least it seemed to Sibel. "It looks like the water isn't as choppy as before...shall I accompany you inside?"

It was true that the deck certainly had calmed down and people were either wandering inside or ambling along the deck looking out to sea. Alex had moved away from the rail and was looking at her, waiting for her reply. She didn’t quite want to leave her precarious position on the side of the boat, mainly because she didn’t trust her feet yet.

Then again it might be good for her to have something to calm her nerves a little, the hazardous walk inside would be worth being able to sit down and feel safe again. It would defiantly be better than holding onto the rail for dear life and hoping that she wouldn’t be tossed into the surf. “Sure, come and have a drink with me, it’ll be fun,” and gave him a teasing look. She hoped he was old enough to drink: it would be good to talk to someone and this guy interested her, he was so mysterious and slightly vague. She might be able to get him to talk about himself if they had a few drinks and Sibel always had a good head for alcohol.“Although we could just get lemonade if you aren’t up for it” she added, her voice hinting a challenge. She offered her arm to him, like a lady would if a gentleman was to escort her to a ball, a playful smile touching her lips.

At some point, when he was averting his eyes to look out at sea; he did notice the man that sat down nearby. Alex only glanced at him though because he was engaged with someone else in light conversation. The guy looked quite handsome; but he couldn't tell who he was since he didn't get a good look. It wasn't important at the moment anyway. There was ample time to run into the guy later.

Alex chuckled at the mention of alcohol. It was something he wasn't allowed to drink: not just because he was wildly underage; but also because it could kill him in more ways than one. With that said, he was taught how to drink wine since it is commonplace in high-class gatherings: only one glass was allowed. He also was to use a polite excuse that never involved saying that he was underage. There was no need to let people know how young he was unless it was absolutely necessary.

"I'm sure it would," was the response he used to the fun comment. Alex took hold of her arm when it was offered and started walking. Before he could say anything else; Rebecca seemed to appear out of nowhere. She made a beeline for him and soon as she saw him. Alex release his gently hold on Sibel by the time the young girl reached them.

"What are you doing!?" She asked as she grabbed a hold of his arm before addressing her new found rival. "Don't touch things that don't belong to you!" She all but ordered. Green eyes narrowed as she took in the big-chested lady in front of her.

"Rebecca..." Alex said in a tone that always made the girl calm down enough to listen to him, "I was just guiding her inside." He brushed some auburn strands that fell into her face behind her ear and smiled.

"Really?" Rebecca asked with uncertainty in her voice.

"Do you have a reason not to believe me?" He waited until she shook her head to speak again. "How did the exploration go?"

"Oh yea!" Rebecca brightened up significantly. There was a reason that she was searching for him. "There was something I wanted to show you!" She released his arm in order to clasp his hand in between hers. "Come on!"

"Alright, wait for a moment please." Alex replied before he turned his attention toward Sibel. "I'm sorry but I must be going now," he apologized. In reality, he was also saying sorry for his Rebecca's behavior; but it wasn't something he could really control. He might have said more if there wasn't someone attached at his hip right now. The blond gave Sibel a smile, while Rebecca sent a glare, before they walked off. This time, he was actually pleased with his fiancees interruption: now he didn't have to deal with the whole drinking thing. Of course that will surely come up a lot more; but still.

"Ah. Here she comes."

Lazily, all the while sipping on his Corona, he watched the events unfold in front of his eyes, half paying attention and half just enjoying the moment. There was a strong breeze in the air caused by the cruise ship's movement that blew his hair over his eyes. He wished that it wasn't so windy, but that was pretty much unavoidable at sea.

On the horizon, the harbor was all but gone from view, and there was nothing surrounding them short of the vast expanse of water. Seagulls flew past the boat, hunting for the day's meal. He was just drifting off when he heard a new voice. "What are you doing?! Don't touch things that don't belong to you!"

Plot twist! He thought with a hint of a chuckle. He watched as the man was led away by his presumptive girlfriend. Jakin felt a pang in his chest as his thoughts drifted to Dianna, but he quickly pushed it out of his head. Getting up with a stretch, he strolled over to the edge of the boat, a couple of feet away from the girl. Not too close to be intrusive to close enough to be within ear shot.

Putting he elbows on the railing and holding his bottle with his right hand over the edge, he said in a casual voice, "That didn't go by too well, did it?" Taking another sip, he continued to look out over the sea, the wind blowing his hair to the side.

“And what does this have to do with you?”

Alex liked arms with her and they started walking to the entrance to downstairs. The boy didn’t say much, that was for sure and she hoped he wasn’t going to be a waste of her time. For some reason Alex let go of her as a girl strode up to them. The girl had a screechy, winey voice and was saying something along the lines of “What are you doing!?" and grabbed Alex’s hand. So this was the angry girlfriend, she mustn’t be very secure if she was that sensitive. The girl rounded on Sibel "Don't touch things that don't belong to you!" She said in that grating voice and Sibel had to resist putting her hands over her ears.

“Practice what you preach darling, he doesn’t ‘belong’ to you either,” Sibel said icily but she didn’t appear to notice, which was just as well. She wasn’t even into him in that way, he looked too young and seemed so restrained. Anyway relationships turned into a hassle after a while, they weren’t worth the effort. Alex calmed his girlfriend down with a few careful words. So her name was Rebecca... She didn’t seem to believe him completely about the whole ‘other woman is talking to my boyfriend’ thing but was easily distracted by the mention of exploration and began dragging Alex away.

He told her to wait and apologised to Sibel but she suspected it was mostly out of politeness than any real regret. Either way, he was boring now “its fine, go have fun” she said politely as he turned away to his over the top girlfriend. They seemed quite the opposites with Alex, quiet and calm and Rebecca bouncy and protective, just like a crazy labrador. Rebecca shot Sibel a glare over her retreating shoulder and Sibel sent a look of cool indifference right back, matching stare for stare. After a bit she went back to the rail where she would be safe from the tossings of the boat.

The wind was certainly strong and she pulled her shortly cut purple shirt closer to her body and leaned against the rail. Her long hair whipped about her face and, annoyed with it she pulled it up into a high ponytail. A man’s voice, smooth and deep interrupted her fidgeting. "That didn't go by too well, did it?" he asked, and casually took a sip from a glass bottle marked as a corona on the side.

“Well for who exactly?” She asked, slightly annoyed that this tall man had the guts to talk to her like she had just been trumped. His black, shaggy hair was being whipped about by the wind, making it hard to read his face. She leaned against the rail again; matching his pose “I honestly thought that went quite well for me” she continued and eyed him carefully, waiting for a reaction to her words.

Paige threw her pillow at the intercom. "SHUT UP!!!" She got out of bed and fixed her hair. She couldn't get to sleep anymore. She picked up her room key and went out the door. She quickly went up the stairs, with a soul feeling. She slipped threw the door and made a "B-line" to the bar. "Coffee please?" She was very tired, and it was only going to get worse. She sat down sharply sat down and pinch the front of her nose. "Of course Ma'am. What would you want in your coffee." The bar tender asked kindly. Paige turned to the bartender slowly, with a face that said, "Why are you talking to me...." "Surprise me..." she said with a scowl. She then turned back and watched as the guests mingled.

"Well, for who exactly?" The women asked sharply, and by the tone of her voice, Jakin could tell that she was slightly annoyed by what he had said. In retrospect, he does realize that his words were not kind by any stretch of the imagination.Turning around to face her, he smiled apologetically, hair still whipping in the wind.

Brushing his hair away from his face, he said, "Excuse me, I was out of line. I mean, things are never well when someone's girlfriend or boyfriend comes stomping by to stop a conversation just based upon the fact that you guys were having a conversation right? It's a sign of jealousy and insecurity, that's all."

He paused for a moment. Jakin turned to face the ocean and took another sip, finishing his Corona. He looked around for a staff member, half raising his beer bottle over his head. "Sir, can you please take this away?" A young man in uniform came by with a tray and took his empty bottle with a nod, "Is there anything else I can get you, sir?"

Jakin smile and nodded towards Sibel (though he does not know her name yet). "I'm good for now, but if the lady would like to have anything..." he trailed off, looking at Sibel with sparkling eyes, "Round one's on me." It was almost second nature to him to try to charm a lady, but that doesn't mean he's looking for something physical or emotional. It was more out of an inherent need to be chivalrous than a sense of lust or desire. Though, she was an attractive woman for sure...

"My name is Jakin. Jakin Eames. It is my pleasure to meet you."

“It's the quiet ones you have to watch, they almost always have something to hide”

The man seemed truly apologetic, which was a shame since Sibel was in the mood for an argument now, or a saving grace for him perhaps. Either way his tone disarmed her slightly as he turned to face her. As he explained his reasoning Sibel felt a little less defensive. At least they were on the same page. It didn’t matter anymore about the whole girlfriend thing anyway; it would either resolve or escalate and she could deal with both situations.

Sibel watched as the man finished his beer and flagged down a waiter that was tending to the guests on desk. The waiter took the empty glass and asked if there was anything else they needed. At the man’s offer Sibel shook her head “how kind, but I’ll pay. I’ll take a VB thanks” she said to the waiter and handed him a fold of money. She wouldn’t be dependent on anyone, even if he had a nice smile. It was the nice ones that you usually had to watch out for. The waiter stepped away and retrieved the beer in a tall glass, returning her change. Sibel thanked him and he left to mingle with the guests once more. "My name is Jakin. Jakin Eames. It is my pleasure to meet you." The dark haired man said. Sibel was surprised at the name, it was an interesting one certainly and it seemed to suit her first impression of him.

“Mine’s Sibel Bennet” she said, meeting his gaze. “Do you always introduce yourself to girls this way, or am I just a special occasion?” She smiled, her voice no longer harsh, but more testing, seeing if he would banter with her. She longed for a bit of interesting conversation at the moment. “I would think that you’d lose a lot of money if you kept buying drinks for random strangers.” She took a sip of her drink, savouring the taste and wondered how she would get to her room if she was a bit tipsy. She shrugged the thought asside, not really caring at the moment. She would cross that bridge when she came to it.

Kalyan xxxxxxx Certified Manwhore xxxxxx Bored... bored... bored... oooh! New toy twisted

I don’t care what you think

Kalyan boarded the hulking ship with all the care and consideration of a heavily – skirted lady. He eyed the gangplank with a suspicious eye; the thing was no doubt of inferior workmanship like the rest of the boat, and no amount of pristine white paint could ever repair damage done by rust.
There seemed to be quite a few people aboard the boat already, but this seemed hardly surprising as Kalyan had aimed to be late. Fashionably late, as some would say, but fashion had nothing to do with it. The younger son had just wanted to make an entrance.
Unfortunately, an entrance was not what he got; as soon as he, his luggage and his servant were aboard along with the other passengers who were late for some reason or another, there was a flurry of activity and the ship began to pull off from the dock.

In a fanfare of cheering, the cumbersome liner steadily marched her ample girth away from land, rolling and plunging just enough to make those inexperienced at sea – which was most of the passengers – clutch at the railing to steady themselves whilst they waved , plating up to the insipid cheering noise that those left behind seemed compelled to make. Kalyan rolled his eyes almost audibly at the spectacle. This was the maiden voyage of another unremarkable cruise ship, but it was obviously the most glamorous thing that these modern–day peasants have, or will see in their entire meaningless little lives.
With no effort at all Kalyan turned his gaze from the crowd and their ape-like hoots of what was probably joy, and back to the confines of the so called “Luxury Liner” that he was going to have to spend the next few excruciating months aboard, in the company of what was probably going to be a bunch of boring old fogies that had probably saved up their whole lives to afford a third-class cabin in the rear of the ship. He was going to be so bored; he was probably going to have to spend the whole time blind drunk in his room with the curtains closed.

The deck was populated by the vast majority of the passengers at this stage; everyone seemed to be riveted on the skyline, on the rapidly receding land that they had just left behind. Why were they so attached to it? As if the dirt belonged to them, as if they owned anything but the filth that they brought with them when they entered this world.
Kalyan turned his gaze to the water churning below the ship as his thoughts waxed philosophical. This had been happening more and more often, this questioning of existence. He wished that he could walk the world in that same blind stupor that others seemed to; this endless questioning gave him a headache.

There were few passengers that stood out to him at this point; there were a couple of cute, blond Swedish girls hanging around the open-air bar, laughing over gaudy green cocktails. A serious looking dark – haired man sipped a beverage in a stubby amber bottle. At the railing a plain looking woman with the biggest bust the younger son had ever seen was clutching the railing with white – knuckled fear. Close by, possibly one of the prettiest, most feminine men Kalyan had ever seen spoke to her.
The man intrigued Kalyan quite a bit, with his innocent doe – eyes and fine blonde hair. In fact, Kalyan would even say that he was beautiful. Kalyan, hands in pockets stepped away from the railing, walking nonchalantly across the deck, looking for all the world like he was merely enjoying the brisk sea breeze that had started up soon after they had left the harbor. The woman and the pretty man were having a discussion, something about drinks.
Kalyan took the opportunity to study the pretty man further, and made the astounding discovery that the man was indeed not a man, but a mere boy. Kalyan had assumed that the innocent, doe-eyes had been an act, a show put on to drag unsuspecting people into whatever twisted web that the pretty boy had woven.
But it was not so. The poor child was truthfully as innocent as they come, or as close to it as anyone could ever be in this day and age.
Kalyan grinned suddenly, as a sly, predatory expression that disappeared as soon as it touched the angular features of his face. So, he was not going to be bored after all. The discovery of this kid was better than a wine connoisseur discovering a rare bottle of red amongst the cheap wines anyone could find at a bottle shop in some ghetto. Then and there, Kalyan decided that he was going to ruin this boy, ruin him good.

Kalyan’s twisted reverie was broken by the shrill squawking of a woman, a woman who strode into view, scolding both the pretty boy and the large-chested woman. Clutching at the pretty boy’s arm, the new woman shrieked something about ownership, but the pretty boy was quick to assuage her fears, and she soon brightened up. Like an reddish-brown puppy the woman all – but bounced as she spoke of something she ‘found’ somewhere on the ship. The pretty boy made his excuses, and the dog-woman began to drag him off.
Kalyan chuckled quietly to himself, and started to follow the couple – slowly. He would see where this took him; it would no doubt lead him in interesting directions.

As long as it’s about me.

Alexander Clark
The Naive Successor

Alex let his fiancee usher him back inside while taking note of a few people here and there: one was at the bar getting a drink. When the walked down the hallways, there weren't a lot of people wandering around; so he started to think about the woman he left on the deck. Even though he was glad to be interrupted; he felt bad for leaving her there suddenly. Perhaps that guy that was sitting nearby decided to strike up a conversation: that would be nice. The teenager didn't see any other way to handle the situation at that moment; after all, Rebecca was to be put above everyone else. Not to mention the fact that this trip is for them to get to know each other better.

The young successor stifled a sigh as he thought. Rebecca could be such a pain sometimes: it's not like he did anything wrong. He was just making small talk with a fellow passenger that may or may not be important. Hopefully, his fiancee wouldn't cling to him like this all of the time.

Alex was snapped out of his thoughts with the sound of the young girls voice. He glanced at her as she rambled on about her adventure. Most of it was fairly uneventful; but he could tell she was building up to something so he gave her a smile as if to tell her to continue. He was actually curious to see what she found that was so interesting; but then she paused at an intersection as if she was trying to figure out which way to go.

"Just play along okay..." Rebecca whispered to him after leaning closer.

Alex merely smiled in response before she began walking in one direction. As soon as they were around the corner she grabbed a hold of his hand and started running as fast as she could. He was about to say something; but was too caught up with running to utter a full word. Of course he was perplexed by the sudden change in her demeanor: it was plain odd. Then she stuffed him into some door to hide him and asked him to stay there. He didn't even get a chance to reply before the door was slammed in his face. 'What in the world is she thinking!?' Was the only thought running through his head as he stood there dumbfounded.

Meanwhile, Rebecca hurried back to find the person she was looking for: it didn't take her long either. There he was: the man with black hair and red eyes. The green-eyed girl put her hands on her hips and glared at him. She knew who he was; but she didn't know why he was following them. Even though he was quite careful, she was extra observant because she didn't want anyone else, but Alex, to see what she found. That's probably why she noticed the other man at some point.

"What do you want!?" Rebecca asked in a not so friendly tone. "And what's with those freakish contacts?"

Back in the unknown room, Alex looked around until he found a switch. The blond merely scanned the room to see if someone was actually in there instead of paying attention to whether or not there were any personal items. Apparently he was stuffed into someones room; but no one ended up being there. The first thing that came to his mind was, 'what if someone was actually in here?' Not to mention the fact that they could come back at any moment. What he was doing was kind of like trespassing right? It just made him feel uncomfortable. What if someone got the wrong idea? Like he could really just stay in this room like his crazy fiancee wanted.

After making his decision, Alex turned the light back off and opened the door in a slow manner. He poked his head out to look both ways before completely leaving the room. Luckily, no one was in the hallway at that time. A sigh of relief escaped him when the door clicked shut. In all reality, there might not have been anyone assigned to that room; but that didn't matter. He just felt uncomfortable staying in there for no good reason.

"Now what?" Alex asked under his breath as he tried to figure out which way his fiancee went. Worse case scenario: he could just go to his room and wait for her. There was definitely no way he was going to wait by her door: that would be too much of a pain. For a moment, he just stood there in thought.

"This trip is already troublesome."

Jakin didn't really mind that the girl paid off her own drink. It was really better anyway. Come to think of it now, he wasn't really sure what prompted him to approach her at all, other than the fact that she found her fairly attractive. Okay, maybe a little more than just fairly. Again, the thought of home and Dianna came bubbling to the surface, but he resisted thinking about it any more.

“Sibel Bennet. Do you always introduce yourself to girls this way, or am I just a special occasion? I would think that you’d lose a lot of money if you kept buying drinks for random strangers." She replied, after taking her Victorian Bitter. Jakin gestured at ocean. They can no longer catch sight of the land. "I don't know about you, but I would say today's a fairly special occasion. I have never been more than a couple of hundred yards off land. The weather, the boat, the people, everything. Since we're already here might as well enjoy it right?"

Now that she was drinking, he felt slightly pressured to get something too. The thought of his limited budget crossed his mind, closely followed by his own words since we're already here, might as well enjoy it right? He knew his lack of common sense and budgeting has always been his downfall, but nevertheless, he waved the waiter over. "Surprise me with something strong" Jakin nodded towards the bar.

Raising an eyebrow, the waiter said "Of course sir, be right up". Moments later, he came back with a glass of orange liquid, almost like orange juice. Jakin tipped him, noting his slowly thinning wallet, and took a drink. Sticking out his tongue, he made a face, "Orange juice and vodka, not a fan"

ATTENTION!

Passengers, it is nearly six in the evening, and it is suggested that you make your way to the banquet hall for dinner. However, if you are otherwise occupied or unwilling to dine in the banquet hall, the bars will be serving food from now until seven.
We sincerely hope you've enjoyed the cruise thus far, and suggest a stroll on deck before bedtime now that we are on calmer seas.
For those wishing to view the sunset, you are welcome to stay on deck and order your dinner at a later time.

Thank you,
Captain Fitzpatrick
