Hoggle turned to his friend. "Believe me, Sarah. If Jareth was the one who took Erin, I would have told you. Besides that..." He pointed to the dark cloud. "If it wasn't for this Nothingness, Jareth would have never come along when you summoned him. Things have changed... The goblins have taken sides either with Jareth, or with the Nothingness."

Jareth took a seat on a stone near the Labyrinth's entrance. "Those poor goblins... Sold their free will and souls to the Nothingness in exchange for power. Now look at them..." He pointed over to a dark imp-like creature in the distance. A swarm of fairies had attacked it, and drove it away, and came over to their king, one landing on his hand, like a perch. "Thank you, my pet." He let it fly off again to defend the walls. "The few groups who chose to stay with me, are constantly on the watch for those traitors."

Hoggle began to whimper as he thought of the recent event. "Sarah... I think there is something you should know..." He was worried at her reaction. They have Ludo and Didemous..."

She listened nodding and taking note of the little creature the fairies had taken down. As Hoggle told her of their friends she worried. "What does this nothingness want with the Goblin kingdom? It makes no sense." She watched her brother go to inspect the fallen creature. "We have to get them back. And our sister. Since you came into my life, I have a bit of responsibility towards the goblins. I can't let this happen."

He looked to the creature and sighed giving in. "Sarah, this one looks like the one in the alley." He said solemnly. He turned his attention back to Jared. "I'm sorry I didn't believe you. But if they have Erin, what would they do to her? And why take her anyways. If they wanted to get at the goblins, wouldn't have been better for either yourself or me from our world? Erin has nothing to do with it."

She sighed looking towards the dark cloud as something hit her thoughts. "Damn it. I have an idea. If they cam to our realm, then they may know about our history with the king right? What if they did what just about everyone back home does and think Erin is me? It's not a perfect thought, but would make more sense."

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Erin walked along holding her arms trying to comfort herself. She felt like she were back in her nightmares as a child. She tried to find any form of direction but the turning walls made her dizzy. She wiped her face trying to tell herself to stop crying and grow up, though it wasn't helping much.

The little goblin walked along the pathways knowing the nothingness was near as it always was. It's job of spy for the king was hard at times knowing how close to being caught it always got. It rounded a corner hearing a slight noise and viewed what seemed to be a girl walking along. It smiled a moment running up to her. "Erin? It is you! Oh my, what on earth are you doing in the labyrinth?"

She turned hearing her name and smiled, though it faded as she saw another creature. She took a step back though realized there was a wall where there wasn't anymore. "It keeps changing, what am I supposed to do?" She said. She slided her back down to sit against the wall looking to the creature. "How come you know my name? So far everything else has thought me someone else."

Jareth materialized one of his crystals, bringing the image of Erin up inside. "I see... Then this would make all the difference..." Jareth tossed the crystal to Toby, and watched as the crystal obeyed Toby, just as Jareth knew it would. "You see? Your powers grow strong here in my world. In your reality, you go to school, you come home... you merely exist to please others. In my world, you could be so much more... Think about it for now." Jareth commanded the crystal back. "Your sister looks a great deal like you used to, Sarah... just as lovely..."
PostPosted: Mon Mar 07, 2011 7:05 pm

Toby watched Jareth a moment before catching the crystal tossed towards him. "Yeah, well at least I know my place and what not to do to others." He said after a moment. He felt bad for half a breath at his harsh tone, but was still a little upset, he just wasn't sure if he was angrier at Sarah, or the goblin king. He eventually would try to let it go, though wasn't much after the comment of their youngest sibling.

Sarah nodded seeing the image of her sister. She ignored what Jareth was talking about with her brother. "Come on, she's out there in the Labyrinth, alone, and probably scared out of her mind. And I want to find her before it gets dark, well darker." She looked to Jareth a moment unsure what to think of his comment of her sister. "Maybe we should split up? Toby go with Hoggle, Jareth you know this kingdom best, And I remember fairly well. We can cover more ground that way. I just wish we had flares or something. Maybe a meeting place and time for a check in?"

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“I’ve known you since you were much younger. You even named me, don’t you remember. I suppose you may not, you were very young.” The goblin moved to stand beside her and pat her shoulder. “Come now princess, dry your eyes. Up, up, must stand. The nothingness is all over this part of the labyrinth.”

Erin looked to the creature as it stood next to her and nodded. “I’m sorry, I can’t remember. But, my older siblings, they told me creatures like this don’t exist. Is this just some bad nightmare?”

“Oh believe me child, I wish it were. I would love to wake up now. Come, we’ll find Hoggle and Jareth. They’ll help you I’m sure.” He started leading her away knowing where to go to get back towards the castle and outer walls. “You named me Twink after a cartoon character.” He said once more seeing a slight smile reach her face. “See, there’s the Erin I remember.”

“Twink, this nothingness you talked about. What is it? And what were those things that brought me here? Or those red like detachable things?” She was curious and almost wanted to get home, but talking to this one creature felt familiar and did wonders to ease her mind a little.

“The red like creatures? Oh, you must mean the fire gang. Yeah kookie bunch of characters they are. Others are goblins like myself, then there are the fallen goblins, who the nothingness control, and then there are minions of the nothingness itself. We don’t know why they’re here. We do know they’re destroying everything in their path.”

Hoggle went to stand beside Toby. "Well, since we are to split up, here." Hoggle handed Toby an old plastic bracelet Sarah once gave him. "My lucky bracelet. It's kept me alive so far. Maybe it'll protect you?"

Jareth strolled over to his former adversary. "Should you have need to see your brother again, just tell me, and I'll take us to him. I may no longer have power over you, but that does not mean I am uncivilized." Jareth waved his hands, and opened the Door to the Labyrinth. They entered the doors, seeing the two paths. "Toby, Hoggle... You two take the right Labyrinth... We'll take the left. And Toby..." He threw a Crystal to Toby. "Why don't you try to practice a bit? Might come in handy."
PostPosted: Wed Mar 09, 2011 4:45 pm

Toby nodded taking the bracelet from Hoggle before following the others. He looked to Hoggle a moment then back as Jareth handed a crystal to him. He wanted to ask why but would let him be well enough for now. "Thanks, I think." And with that motioned for Hoggle to come along as he started walking.

Sarah listened to Jareth and started walking once inside the Labyrinth. "We'll meet back at the castle I suppose, as long as it's not overrun. Jareth, be careful out there. You're still the Goblin King after all." And with that she turned seeing one doorway in the path and headed off. She knew they had to find their sister soon before it got dark in the Labyrinth. She worried about her unsure what the nothingness could do to her once they find out she wasn't the one they could have been looking for.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

She walked with the goblin beside her quiet for the most part. She felt glad that someone was there who at least seemed like they were trying to help her. It made this nightmare a little better. She would stop as Twink did seeing and oddly lit path. "Twink, is something wrong? You look confused."

Twink walked about glad to have Erin beside him once more as they were when she was very young. After a time he would stop though seeing a new path he didn't know existed. When she questioned him he thought on it. "This is a new path. I know all paths in the Labyrinth, but not this one."

"Should we take it? I mean if you didn't know about it, maybe it's less likely that those with the nothingness do too?" She wondered seeing the lit lanterns about the wall. "It's almost dark, and it's lit somewhat?" She watched Twink nod and followed along. As they walked she took note of the Moss that seemed like it was watching them, though thought herself crazy for thinking it. As the tunnel went on she looked ahead seeing a light they were apparently getting closer to. "What's that up ahead?"

Twink would pause noticing the light and look back the way they came feeling nervous. He was there to help protect her now, and didn't feel comfortable. "Yeah, lets head back."

She nodded turning but felt a stone move under her feet, followed by a loud echoing clicking noise and a somewhat grinding noise. "Twink?"

"Oh no, the Cleaners! Run!" He started running and looked back seeing her not moving. "Erin, trust me, Run!" He watched her nod and took her hand running through the tunnel the way they hadn't wanted to go.

Jareth and Sarah went their way. "Sarah... Can I ask you a question?" He paused thinking how best to word this. "If things were different... do you think... No. Nevermind." He turned away from her, heading down another path away from her. "I'll see you at the castle... Do your best to enjoy yourself, Sarah... After all... this could have all been yours as well..." Jareth left down the path again, feeling regret over the past...

Hoggle and Toby were making good progress. "Toby... I wanted to ask you..." they were coming up on one of the invisible entrances, "Please don't blame us servants for what we did to you all those years ago? We were just following orders. And as for Jareth... Yes, what he did was vile, but as it was, he was just fulfilling a contract that he and Sarah were magically bound by."
PostPosted: Wed Mar 09, 2011 5:40 pm

Toby looked to Hoggle then shrugged his shoulders. "It's in the past. I may not like it, or either of them since I seemed to be the one caught in the middle. But it's done now." He kept walking looking about the walls and following Hoggle and keeping pace with the goblin. "And don't act like I don't have issues with my sister. We don't get along much as is. We've just had an understanding because we've lived under the same roof." He said almost angrily before calming down. "It's Erin I'm worried about. Me and Sarah have tried so hard to keep her out of the loop, we kind of left her out of everything. She's probably scared out of her mind right now."

Sarah paused listening about to say something but remained quiet as he walked away. She watched him walk off for a bit more before heading off her own way. "It could have been different..." She whispered to herself before fully heading off knowing her sister needed to be found or saved.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Erin ran with Twink through the tunnel as the thing chasing them got closer. She suddenly felt Twink pull her and followed in time to miss the cleaners. She leaned over a bit catching her breath then noticed the brightly lit room and all of the small pedestals and trinkets. "Twink, what is this place?" She went to one seeing a strange gold goblin like head statues but didn't touch it. "So odd."

Twink looked about once he caught his breath seeing all the treasures and couldn't help but be excited. "Erin! I can't believe this look! The lost treasure of King's past! This room has been lost for ages now. And we just found it!" He couldn't wait to tell his king of this news and smiled brightly, for a goblin. He moved about looking at the treasures and looked to one that caught his eye. It was an almost silvery gold crystal like what his king used with a small light in the center. He picked it up and moved to show Erin. "Erin look at this! It's like our King's!" He watched her turn, and as she did to look at him the orb shot from her hands striking her in the chest and knocking her to the far wall. He called out in horror seeing her collapse to the ground and not moving, no sign of the orb that hit her. He went to her shaking her shoulder. "Erin? Erin, please be okay." He felt a panic wash over him and didn't know what to do. After a time he realized she wasn't waking and would be too heavy to move on his own. He bit his nails before deciding to try and find help. "Hang on Erin, I'm going to get help."

Hoggle stopped and went to Toby. "Toby. If we do find her, her fate will be tied to this Labyrinth just as yours and Sarah's has. And I have a feeling that with the three of you, something either extraordinary or disastrous will happen..." He felt he was worrying Toby. "But, should anything happen, I want you to know, that we will stay and fight with you. I'm done being a coward..."

Jareth was rounding another turn in the labyrinth, enjoying the stroll. As he made another turn, he felt a tug almost as if someone was summoning him. He thought of ignoring it, but he kept feeling it. "I see... So this is how the King of the Goblins is treated now? Like a pup being summoned to dinner?" He scoffed and melted into the ether, only to reappear moments later in a lit room only slightly bigger than one of the Oubliettes. "Who has summoned me?"
PostPosted: Wed Mar 09, 2011 6:53 pm

Toby turned towards Hoggle as he stopped and spoke. He thought on it but had worried about that. "Hoggle, I fear we're already tied to it. But Erin still may have a chance to escape it. Me and Sarah, we always knew we could never forget or leave this place fully behind. But Erin, as far as I know, doesn't have ties here. I'm fairly certain she doesn't even know about this realm."

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Twink poked about the passageways not seeing anyone before moving back to the room seeing her still unconscious and worried more. He paced the room fretting over what to do before making a hard decision he knew he could regret and called for his king. As Jareth would appear he would bow humbly and remain. "Forgive me oh Great King. Please, I didn't know what else to do, and I couldn't leave her to find more help with those of the nothingness all around." He coward hearing the tone and hoped he wouldn't be punished, but would accept it if it helped his friend. "Please Majesty, She won't move or wake up and I don't know how to help her." He moved a bit more and motioning to show his king Erin's form laying on the ground.

"If I were not already busy, I would have dropped you into the Bog of Stench headfirst before you could blink." Jareth gazed upon the unconscious form of the girl on the ground. "Erin?" He looked at her more, drinking in the sight of her. Her face... almost identical to that of Sarah's, yet had it's own beauty and glow about it. "Twink, how do you know this girl? What happened to her?"
PostPosted: Wed Mar 09, 2011 8:15 pm

Twink cowered slightly hearing the tone and would bow in shame. "Forgive me," He would pause hearing the king speak her name and was curious. "Majesty? You know her name?" He started though stopped realizing he was the kind. "Oh, I mean of course you do, you know everything of the labyrinth. She was the one who named me sire. But it was a very long time ago, when you had us checking in on Lady Sarah and master Toby. Erin was about three when she caught me. I hadn't seen her since she was five until I found her wandering the Labyrinth near the fallen sections." He paused to let that sink in before cowering once more. "We found this room and I was going to show her something but, It flew out of my hands when she turned to see it and hit her. She hasn't moved since, and the crystal that hit her is gone. Forgive me My Lord, I didn't know what else to do but to call you."

Jareth ignored Twink for a while, still gazing at Erin's beauty. "Very well, then, Twink. You did the right thing." He went over to her and knelt down beside her, waving a hand over her. She did not stir. "Hmm... This is most unusual." Jareth took her by the hand, and felt a jolt from her body, running into his, then back into hers. He suddenly felt different. And what's more, it was scaring him.
PostPosted: Wed Mar 09, 2011 9:00 pm

She felt funny, almost lost in darkness. She wanted out but couldn't wake. She wasn't even sure what had happened. Eventually her body would respond taking a sharp intake of air as if she hadn't been breathing and coughing in her body's efforts. Her eyes would open halfway adjusting to light before realizing someone was beside her. She moved slightly seeing the man beside her holding her and and smiled lightly. The nightmare was over. She moved trying to sit and rubbed her chest feeling sore, though wasn't sure why. "I'm sorry, I must have fallen asleep. I had the strangest dre..." She stopped looking past the man to see the goblin named Twink and sighed. "I thought.. Never mind.. Twink, who's this guy? I thought only goblins resided here?"

Twink worried seeing an odd expression on his king though would jump for joy as Erin woke. "My Lady Erin!" His reaction went to stone as she spoke rudely before the king. "Erin, this is our king, please show some respect."

She looked between the two a moment before bowing slightly where she sat, her hair cascading to hide her face. "Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't realize, please forgive me." She knew no matter where you were, always be courteous to royalty. "I really am, I honestly thought you would be a goblin too."

Hoggle continued on the path, tapping a stone in the wall. "Well, I am not sure, but I think she may already be aware, if only in her sleep. It happens sometimes. The few of your realm who make it here, then back... They may forget, but a tiny bit of them always remembers. And if Erin is anything like Sarah, her imagination would have led her here long ago..." The stone on the wall pushed in, and a passage opened.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jareth stood up ignoring Erin and Twink. "What did you just do to me?" He tried to disappear and reappear, but could not! "What is going on!?" He was angrier than ever. "So, do you work for the Nothingness? Is that it? Did they make you drain my magics?"
