What kind of band doesn't have their own equipment?
The worst kind, that's what!
Also, you mentioned house shows before. Got any friends in a functioning squat? They'd probably let you play for free.

And, it has to be a "community" type place, because my goal is to get school kids to come. No ones gonna go down to a shitty little boarded up house in one of the worst parts of my city. I've got the ideal venue, but they still haven't gotten back to me.

My friends, The Scandals are opening for them some time soon.
And Charlotte, any band that doesn't have their own equipment can seriously go ******** themselves. Don't start something you can't actually do. Being in a band means you can afford an amp for your guitar or your own set if you're the drummer. The only ever responsible for the band's gear is the band. Otherwise they're not a real band.
No gear, you're not a real band.

Don't start something you can't actually do. Being in a band means you can afford an amp for your guitar or your own set if you're the drummer. The only ever responsible for the band's gear is the band. Otherwise they're not a real band. No gear, you're not a real band. Well, it's been working pretty damn well. I have tons of support, some great bands are playing, and I've got a good venue. The bands have all their own instruments and s**t, I just needed a PA system. And the venue I found has one. Things are going wonderfully. I've even started my own organization, Punks for Tolerance.
