I'm slightly buzzed from the left over beer me and Kira had from yesterday, so forgive me if my reply wasn't in the best form or context.

How could I? biggrin I'm insecure about my formulations each time I post, because holding discussions about such complex and sensitive topics are hard in a foreign language...

I'd like to carry on that^^ discussion. I enjoy a friendly debate on the laws of science versus the faith of creation.

"Word!" ;P

We identify them as Mitchondria and slap science as a label on it. How do we know we didn't just name a spiritual aspect of life?

Hmm... Yes but no! biggrin
This is just a question of nomenclature... Just like the point we had earlier (Satan or Silky lord of choclate chip ice cream)...
As you stated, it IS an explainable phenomenon, so to me, everything, which has been researched and explained by science, is science...

Quote:
Sure, science is a way to explain things, but just because things are explained in that manner doesn't make them any less supernatural.

Hmm... You'd have to define supernatural for that...
Maybe science is "ultranatural" hence being able to explain the "supernatural"? wink
The term "supernatural" implys something being "above nature's limits", which is nonsense... In our world, in our nature... How could something be out of it?
Yes, that would lead just to the point of "supernaturalism"...
But, to take your example of mitochondria (BTW did you play parasite eve back then? Picking especially this example makes me wonder xD) it has been explained and proven within the limits given by nature's laws, so it probably won't be above it...

Anyways, to walk through the woods and not be moved by it's beauty or the things that have left a sort of energy(memory mark) on the place is just and no offense, but it's not human.

Mh... Yes...
But (!) in our society, in our civilization, values have shifted... Human's are pretentios, believing to be an superior animal and losing contact with nature hence not being able to enjoy beautiful things like a forest, clean air and so on... This IS all too human... Not the actual animal of the human, but the overweening "civilization" conformist a*****e human...
And again, I don't think it's about "memory marks", i'd rather stick with values we are taught or maybe even instinct...
