Sloth Laziness often results in lose of the life of the drow. Yet they tire of always being tire. Few know what it means to truly relax though all meditate and most pursue leisure pursuits. Some do become slothful and listless. They usually fall to the wayside and their followers gain power.

Wrath Anger is a constant companion. Some believe that anger in itself is a tool. Red-hot rage gives strength to persevere over foes. Some believe anger should be cool and calculating. Hiding it gives more opportunities for vengeance. Must use both ideas depending upon the situation.

Revenge An art form among the drow. Many flavors of revenge. Each drow establishes a preferred style at an early age. Can come quickly or take centuries. Can be long and painful or painless and swift. All drow, even when targets, appreciate a well executed vengeance.

Drow Life Childhood:From a very young age, drow children are brought up learning the ways of hate. These vary from jealousy to betrayal. Male children: When they are born, they have a chance that they may not live at all. Every third male child is sacrificed to Lolth. If they do live they only have two choices in what they may be become: A fighter, in which case they are trained from the moment they can lift a weapon, or a mage, in which case they are trained from the moment when they are able to make coherent speech. Either way, their path is chosen by their house's Matron Mother. Female children:Have more choice. From birth they are destined to be in Lolth's service. If she is not seen as fit to serve the Spider Queen, she is given some, but little, choice in what she will become. These women are usually rare. Two different social classes:These are the merchants and the nobles. Merchant clans are relatively overlooked. Dealing with the surface world is considered demeaning and beneath the noble houses. Noble houses support more power which is the lifeblood of drow life. Life in the Underdark almost completely revolves around what the noble houses seek to accomplish. Station:The most important thing in drow life. Station is the hierarchy in which power is distributed. Each person has a certain amount of station. The main goal in drow life is to achieve more station. Assassination is the primary tool in doing so. Justice is just a pretense to avoid open warfare

Appearance Skin:Drow vary in shape, features, and hair color as greatly as humans do. The only exception to this rule is their uniformly jet-black skin (the few exceptions tend to be bone-white albinos). Hair:The majority of drow have snow-white hair from birth, yellowing (if female) or graying (if male) and thinning with great age. Rare drow have naturally silver or copper-hued hair, although there are those who deliberately dye their hair silver (these drow are the followers of Eilistraee). Eyes:Most drow have red eyes. Others have green, brown, or black. Various shades of gray, even amber and rose-hued eyes are not unknown. All drow eyes tend to grow redder when they are angry or upset. Yellow eyes usually denote illness, disease, poisoning, or the presence of certain detrimental magics. Blue and purple (and all the tints thereof) are the most unusual eye colors, and usually denote human or surface elven blood somewhere in the drow’s ancestry. Teeth:Drow teeth may be black, white, or purple, and their gums, tongues, and throats pink, red, or purple. Female vs. Male:Drow females tend to be bigger and stronger than males. Both sexes tend to be lithe, slim, and graceful in build, features, and movements, much as other elves appear to human eyes.
