~ Different day ~ Around 7 p.m. Selena sat with her feet in the water, digging in the sand with her toes. She leaned back on her hands and stared up at the cloudless sky. Selena sighed, wishing every day could be like this. http://pics4.city-data.com/cpicv/vfiles2670.jpgShe glanced over at the large rock formation and smiled, remembering how many times she had dived off of it.

Cathrine saw Selena and smiled. "I was worried about you!" She giggled at how Selena jumped at the sudden sound of her voice. "Gosh, isn't your cell on?" Cathrine continued, smiling. She looked around, scanning for people.

Selena stuck her tongue out at Cathrine. "In case you hadn't noticed, I don't have anywhere to put a phone..." she said, patting the sand beside her and turning back to the lake.

"And that would be why I couldn't get a response from you!" Cathrine laughed. "So what are you doing up here?" She sat down about four feet away from Selena and started to work on her hair.

Selena watched Cathrine's fingers and smiled. "Just working on the tan I know will never happen. Seriously. It's impossible for me to get any darker." she said, frowning.

Cathrine smiled. "I guess I just don't get out enough. I've never burned, but I never try." She glanced at the lake. "Well, at least you're not way too white. That would suck." She laughed, thinking of a couple girls she went to school with.

Selena laughed once and shrugged. "My skin is almost the same color as my hair." she said, raising an eyebrow. Then, out of nowhere, a wave crashed down on Cathrine. Selena was trying not laugh, unsuccessfully.
