 Kurai - The Edenian WraithShang smirked as he tilted his head, popping the tendons in his neck. "Who says I am here for Khan? I am here for something else... or more specifically, someone," he said haughtily. Wraith snorted as he focused, letting Xeara remerge within him; he knew she was very wary of the soul sorcerer. "I am not interested in anything you have to say... I know what you do, and if you think I am going to allow you to use me, then you are mistaken," he said coldly, letting the mask retract, his dark reddish gold hair falling around his shoulders as his eyes shifted from the dark green-teal they naturally were to the dangerous reddish gold of what was within him as his eyes shifted from round to slitted. His armor immediately rippled with dark red shimmers of energy. Shang barely glanced at Wraith. He half turned as his gaze flicked past James to someone standing in the shadows behind him. "The Emperor will allow you to return, without punishment, provided you allow your son to come with us," he offered before flicking his fingers, the Tarkatans retreating into the portal before the sorcerer himself followed before the portal sealed. Wraith half turned at a low feminine snort as he noticed the woman in the black cloak turning away, obviously not interested in the sorcerer's offer. My mother is dead... or so I was told, he thought warily.OOC--

 Kurai - The Edenian Wraith Wraith rolled his eyes as he half turned, glancing at James. "Could he be more full of it? I swear, if you could bottle that crap he spews... you'd be able to make a stink bomb that would stop wars instantly," he muttered. His eyes followed the cloaked woman as she slipped out of the bushes before it caught on a branch and tore with a loud ripping sound. His eyes narrowed at a glint of silver as his fist clenched. "Don't even think of running," he warned the woman. Kitana snorted, glancing at the strange man who'd threatened Shang minutes before before she spoke in a low cold voice. "Try and stop me," she said softly. Her eyes narrowed as the male's eyes faded from the deep reddish gold they were to a dark greenish teal an instant before they gleamed with a spark of green energy she recognized all too well, though she remained silent for the moment, staring at him.OOC-- The pic is to give you a basic idea of what he looks like without the mask and headgear.

James HeliotropeJames was growing to hate dimension traveling more and more each day. the damn minor gods that played with the world wouldn't let a wolf fight in the tournament and now this s**t in the Nightside. James had to give the woman credit, he only smelled her at the last moment. She had been close enough to strike. That was a feat no normal man could accomplish over James senses. James stepped back to give the woman breathing room, and give him room to work the rifle. James didn't cover her directly, but readied his long practiced reflexes to blast the woman with full automatic fire if things turned south. she would not be the first of the emperor's servants or former servants he had gunned down.

Kurai - The Edenian Wraith Wraith watched the woman's eyes widen fractionally as if realizing something unexpected. He wasn't sure why he had the sense he knew the woman, and at the moment, didn't care. His eyes narrowed cautiously, the edges glowing a bright green that spread through his irises in a paler shade of teal. Kitana glanced at the warrior that smelled of wolves before her gaze shifted to the other warrior who had spoken to her. Her eyes widened slightly as she felt the energy swirling around him. Jade said she had a son... she did not say with whom, but I think I know who it is... unusual taste for her, I must admit, she thought. She watched the energy fill his eyes and chuckled softly, the sound, low and throaty in the air. "I'll be damned," she muttered. "I go searching for my godson and he ends up finding me when Shang tries to drag me back to Outworld," she muttered under her breath, fairly sure both men could hear her clearly anyway.OOC--

Kurai - The Edenian Wraith Wraith cocked his head to one side warily. He glanced at James momentarily before half turned at a whisper of sound an instant before his 'shadow' leaped to life and punched him across the face hard before kicking him backward head over heels. The black suited ninja smirked, or so he suspected, behind the black mask he wore. "Noob Saibot," he growled as he saw the clone tackle his godmother in mid leap. Kitana grimaced as she leaped forward, hurling one bladed fan, then the other, at the dark ninja. The cloak fell away to reveal her body in dark blue leather, though she didn't expect for an inky shadow clone to leap at her as the ninja deflected her fans to tackle her out of mid air.OOC--

James Heliotrope James looked at the shadow that had just punched wraith, and snapped on to the shinobi's center of mass with his rifle. the bark of a three shot burst ringing into the night sky. James had been using a firearm since the flintlock musket, and missing didn't happen. The 7.62X51 rounds could smash through a foot of concrete in 4 shots, and the soft nose rounds would cause terrible wounds to a struck person.

Kurai - The Edenian Wraith Wraith saw Noob Saibot reel from the bullets slamming into him an instant before he vanished in a momentary swirl of bluish black mist. He materialized directly behind Noob as the wraith ninja stumbled backward. He grabbed the wraith and slammed him back first against the top of his thigh, the sound of cracking bones loud as he shifted the momentum and dropped Noob across his shoulder blades hard before slamming him against the ground flat on his face. The moment the wraith ninja tried to rise, his boot slammed square and full into the ninja's face, the heavy crunch of bone fracturing following as the ninja fell backward, dark bluish black blood staining the ground. Kitana's eyes widened as she rolled backward to her feet, watching the brutal attacks. Damn... he's pissed, not to mention he knows how to strike to cause the most damage with the least blows, she thought, dropping her hands to her hips as her fans rematerialized there.OOC-- If you don't know, the moves are actually Jax's X Ray move and the final blow of Smoke's X Ray

James walked up and dead checked the downed shinobi with a single shot to the forehead. "You really know how to break a man's confidence. Care to make an introduction?" James nodded to the lovely female shinobi. OCC-I recognize them from the game.

Kurai - The Edenian Wraith Wraith shrugged slightly, wary. "From where the bullet entered, it's obvious you didn't finish him, though who did..." he said in a low voice. He glanced at Kitana, a part of him recognizing her, but he couldn't remember from where. Kitana smiled slightly as she shifted her weight. "Kitana... and as for him... he may be dead for now... but he'll likely return; he's just as irritating as Scorpion in that way," she said with amusement. "You know, Jade did wonder what happened to you after you vanished a year or two before Khan showed up... though it's clear you've gotten quite strong on your own," she said thoughtfully, referring to Kurai/Wraith's mother. She suspected Wraith didn't quite know of the magic that was part of him, though it was interesting to her that he had some aspects of his father's spiritual talents.OOC-- If you haven't figured it out, his parents are Jade and Ermac... it's actually part of a series of fanfics I'm working on...

"Wouldn't hurt, though I kinda doubt he'll be so... obvious next time, if he shows up again... we should be fortunate the rest of Outworld hasn't shown interest, since I don't really get along too well with the Shokan," he said with a dry snort. Kitana shrugged one shoulder, not bothered by his words. She sighed at Wraith's words. "Nobody really gets on that well with Shokanites... they have a tendency to have some very crushing hugs and strange ideas of honor," she murmured dryly.OOC--

"Indeed. Well is everything settled?" James ejected his magazine and loaded a fresh one, before slipping the ejected mag into a pocket. "I would really like to get the taste of those damn Tarkatans out of my mouth. They taste like brimstone and a**." James leaned back against a tree' running his eyes over the female shinobi again, and turning to Wraith. OCC-Schöne is beautiful in German in a noun form. It was a offhand compliment.

Kurai - The Edenian Wraith Wraith tilted his head. "No surprise there... they're hybrids from the Netherrealm and Outworld. Knowing Shang, he'll probably wait to gain some strength before returning, if he returns at all; he'll likely challenge me, if prior experience is right," he said idly. Kitana blinked at the male's question and shrugged. "For the moment, though I want to know why Shang would challenge you," she said warily. She was wary at the way the facial armor retracted as 'Wraith' smirked. She wasn't sure what the strange male had called her or what it meant and didn't really care at the moment.OOC-- Didn't know that, but it's useful to know.
