Terra Desrani

Terra's jaw set in a grim line as she saw the various fights. She raised the dagger, not needing any more of an explanation.

The oncoming blaze surprised Lyrandis, and he kicked forward and down into the ground, launching himself back away from the coming wall, and brought an arm across himself, releasing a spiraling trio of soul-rays in return.

Eri's laughter echoed as she circled around the two, her feet seeming to barely touch the ground. With blinding speed she lunged forward, fist drawn back bringing with it an arc of darkness toward Lyrandis.

Terra spun to see the oncoming attack.

~Lyrandis!~

She ran over, bringing the dagger up to parry the hit.

Lyrandis couldn't allow himself to hesitate. It was true that the tactics of these two were not what he had been expecting, but also true that that leveled the playing field somewhat. With only a glance to Arannis, he put an arm out to Eri, forming a mirrorsoul barrier that would inevitably reverse her attack if it struck.

~Tentative strikes, Terra... I wasn't expecting this at all.~

Seeing the barrier, Eri quickly pulled back, wagging a scolding finger at Lyrandis.

~Tsk,tsk... you can do better, can't you?~

Arannis held a hand to the barrier Lyrandis had formed, a beam of darkness coming fast and hard at it, knowing full well that a rear strike at a frontal reflective barrier would mean nothing to the aggressor. He followed up quickly with a web of darkness forming around Terra, binding her still.

The mirrorsoul shattered, but Lyrandis hardly had time to consider his next move. If Terra came down, his chance in anything was exactly nothing. He held both arms to the web's sides, launching an immense number of soul-rays around it, severing it cleanly in almost every connective strand.

Terra shook free of the remaining web and rushed over to the safety of her brother's side. A pale pink glow emanated from her, surrounding the both of them and fortifying their spiritual strength.

Eri launched up into the sky overhead, casting down piercing shots of darkness at the two siblings.

At about this point, somewhere in an extradimensional prison, Sinnara looked up and across the small room to Ira.

"You know, Ira... those children... would have been our own, had... our counterparts... failed. I never did get... the chance to tell you... after Divinus..."

Lyrandis held a hand down to the ground, and not only did Terra's spiritual empowerment take on a soul-enhancement as well, but a more solid blue hemispherical barrier formed overhead, granting them both ample protection from above and sides.

~Tentative, but still there. Are you ready, sister?~

Arannis blazed in black flames, and he came fast and furious, his fist coming strongly - and quickly - to the barrier surrounding the children.

Ira strained, looking over to Sinnara.

"Our own...let us hope that they hold up to that standard."

Terra took a quick glance overhead, then turned to her brother.

~Yes, I'm ready.~

She gripped the dagger even tighter while forming a sphere of spiritual power in her opposite hand.

"Perhaps... when this conflict is ended, and us... freed... I may yet do as... Arannis did... when his story unfolded... as I believe you still... do not yet know, my feelings."

Lyrandis indicated a portion of the barrier, where Arannis' blow was going to impact, and braced himself for the strike, and when it came, the barrier fell, Lyrandis keeping himself upright and focused as he turned to Eri, arms blazing with a bright blue flame.
