Ekeanyanwu Miss DaMeanor Cha cha miku Thank you for that but I have one question I have a homosexual friend but hes a christian and he knows it's wrong and he struggles with it everyday how can I help him? If he really wants to stop his "homosexualness" (I couldn't think of another way to say it x.x) just tell him God can help him and give him encoragement, The only thing holding him back it the devil. Homosexual tendencies? I tried. sweatdrop Haha xD

Thanks for this! I've only ever been able to use the examples of Sodom and Gomorrah in my arguments. Knowing where to find more evidence is very helpful. 3nodding
The sin of homosexuality is seen as an abomination and is part of the moral law and never changes. Things like not eating unclean animals or sacrificing animals on an altar for the forgiveness of sins are part of the canon law and can be changed. It is morally wrong to act and think on the homosexual tendencies one has, and this applies to all nations and all ages. No one is ever exempt from the breaking of a moral law. The only time the breaking of canon law is ever a sin is if it is still a law. The canon law of forbidding the eating of unclean foods has been abolished and therefore, it is no longer a sin to eat things like pork, bacon, ham, etc.

This is one of the few times I disagree with my faith.
Before anyone tries to argue that I'm picking and choosing my beliefs:
Behold now, I have two daughters which have not known man; let me, I pray you, bring them out unto you, and do ye to them as is good in your eyes: only unto these men do nothing; for therefore came they under the shadow of my roof. (Genesis 19:4- cool
How many people have heard this part of the story, where Lot is willing to give his unmarried daughters to a group of Sodomites so the strangers will be spared? Allowing rape is less than an abomination than homosexuality?
To be honest, I read the article that came from and it's very biased.

Depends on what you mean by struggling. Is he wanting to stop having those feelings or wanting to learn how to cope with the conflict?

Yeah, it was wrong for him to offer his virgin daughters to them, but it was to protect two angels. Then the angels protected him. The Bible is full of mistakes- that way we can know and understand what we can do in situations. If the Bible was only filled with good words- those who have been saved from horible past wouldn't of been saved. Well, thay could have- but how would we know what to say? Say thay've been druggies for years. We're not gonna walk up and say, "An honest answer is like a kiss on the lips, Proverbs 24:26". No, we're gonna ell them storys that Jesus has saved people from, so they know and understaing that their sin can be forgiven to.

Here is a better explanation at Catholic Answers.

I assure you it's not. Romans is amazing for witnessing to anyone. The Gospel doesn't change for there person reading it. Yeah we will tell them about the time where Jesus healed people and things of that line. But the Bible it's self is does not have mistakes. That's why it's the Perfect will of God.

Oh, I did not mean mistakes like that, mistakes like how people did wrong; shows their sins, that way we can learn from them. The Bible has no... whats the word... writting mistakes? It shows peoples mistakes... If that explains it any better xDD

Ekeanyanwu The concept of homosexuality is relatively new to society. We shun what we don't understand, thus, the stigma. And in response to sin is sin, that just means we should get just as worked up about murder and stealing as we do homosexuality. It's just desensitization that does this. Uhm...no it isn't o.o the concept of homosexuality has been around for hundreds and thousands of years o.o..
