Ellie only looked down, and down as Kade moved around to try to convince her. Was it working? No... Anything permanent... The woman should be thankful that that incident only involved cutting, because if it had been colored... Kade would still be suffering from that. "Kade no. It's you, you'll end up going overboard, and you won't stop at tying it up" replied Ellie, keeping her firm no in place. "Sorry but no. Especially not alone with you." They had had this talk before hadn't they? But now Ellie was wondering if she was being too harsh-No, remember that crazy cut? Oh the girl winced slightly as she remembered that before going back to glancing at the man sternly. No.

No matter how many times the man whined, Ellie didn't budge. Of course she didn't! Kade hadn't exactly shown much self control.. ever around her! But, really, was that enough for her to believe that leaving Rune alone with him, without anything but a ribbon, would result in that again? Besides, Kade had done a good job that time! He had even done pretty good on Yoakim's hair after the cooking festival, though Yoakim didn't really have enough hair to work with.. Not without making him near-bald, which Kade would never do! He liked hair and if Yoakim wasn't willing to grow it out, then he would take what little he could! He opened his mouth to tell her how cute Rune would look in a pixie cut or even just a light perm, but he shut it again. No, he didn't think that would work. Did it ever? He turned from pleading to a pout as he sat back and crossed his arms. He stayed in that position for a good while, being sure to show Ellie just how much he didn't like this, before he let out a sigh.

He looked up at her, “..Fine.. If you really can't trust me, you really think I'm such a horrible stylist that I shouldn't even touch someone else's hair, just like how everyone else seems to think..” He stood up slowly and pocketed the ribbon, “I guess I'll just go home. Alone. You know, since everyone else is so busy with work that I don't have anymore.. Or just don't trust me enough to give me some company.” He glanced at her as he added that, “I don't have a TV and the computer's broke.. so, maybe I can.. read old magazines.. Or.. pretend I have a friend who likes me enough to.. let me have something to do.. I could always try to cook, but, you know, a hairstylist survives off tips and since I'm not tip worthy anymore, I don't have much but peanut butter and taco seasoning mix..” He hadn't really left the kitchen at all, just standing there and going on with the occasional, pathetic look up at Ellie.

"I..." Damn it Kade! Was he-No... He was trying to guilt her into this wasn't he? He must be! There was just no way he could make this be truly believable. The man was exaggerating... wasn't he? Well Ellie had a smudge of doubt. Really, maybe she was being too harsh. Sure that time had been disastrous, but he did fix it. Oh maybe... The girl was wondering-up until the last bits. Yup guilt tripping. Eleanor looked at Kade, for a moment doing nothing until she shook her head. "Oh come on. You're being dramatic Kade" said the woman with a slightly amused smile. "I'd love to help, but you're staying with Rune all by yourself. The answer is no" she added as she hopped off the counter and started to the kitchen door. "You can make something, maybe that'll brighten your mood. I need to finish an essay, so if you need me I'll be in the study. Be quiet though, Rune's still napping" instructed the young mother with a semi-stern look before smiling. She turned on her heel and headed to the study to get some books. It wasn't that much-yes a lot of info. Ellie would probably be there a while.

Dramatic? Kade gave a frown as he was called that. True, Kade tended to be on the eccentric side, but he wasn't overdoing it! ..Was he? Ellie seemed to be falling for it for a little while, but then she had to pull back and see through him. He pouted as he watched her leave back to her study, arms crossed firmly against his chest in annoyance. Well, his high school drama teacher did tell him he worked it too much, but that was just him getting into his role! Maybe he should rethink that criticism..? Oh, well. He was alone inside Ellie's house. She was letting him cook, was she? He glanced at the kitchen, opening the refrigerator and looking through what was in there. Milk, eggs, cheese.. some fruits.. The usual. He hadn't really been lying when he said there wasn't much in his own fridge. He'd grown so used to surviving off of Gladice's leftovers that shopping didn't really strike him as a chore anymore.. or as anything, really. He just bought the occasional ingredient that normally did nothing but sit inside his fridge as a 'just in case' measure.

Though, it hadn't helped him when Gladice had a rare moment of cooking just the right amount for Yoakim's appetite. It wasn't his fault! This was the second time it happened in, what, two years? Of course he wasn't very prepared! Plus, Gladice was watching a soap and he couldn't ask the woman to cook for him..! So, Kade started to eat peanut butter which resulted in him reading the label and finding out just how fattening peanut butter was! Gross! But, now he could eat whatever was in Ellie's fridge because she left him alone to go back to.. study..

He closed the fridge and glanced around the kitchen again. She was busy.. He headed out of the kitchen quietly, moving past the study and towards Rune's room. With a peek inside, he could see that Rune was in her bed. A look into Ellie's room, he could see that Ellie was busy doing homework. He frowned. Well, he couldn't just – but, then he really wanted – oh, what about..? If he.. Yes! That seemed perfectly reasonable! He went back into the kitchen and shuffled through drawers for a pen and.. hello, notepad! He smiled and jotted down a quick note in his bubbly handwriting that read, 'Hiii, Ellie! I'm so sorry for not asking, but you were sooo busy with school that I didn't want to bother you! ): I promise to be back soon and, don't worry, I won't be ALONE with her! ^.~ Hee~ Toodles!' He looked at it proudly as he left it on the counter, trusting Ellie would find it. It was true! Plus, he was doing the woman a favor! If she had so much work to get done, then she couldn't possibly finish it all while Rune was asleep! Once the little girl woke up, Ellie would have to go back to being a mommy! And he really wasn't going to be alone.. He hummed and waved softly at the toddler inside her bed.

Hiiii, Rune.” He whispered as he nudged the little girl awake. She didn't seem very pleased at first for being disturbed, as most children would be, but once she caught sight of the blue-haired man, she let out a giggle. He smiled, brightening at the sight. Awe! Rune was just too cute! She was lucky she took after her mother! He quietly helped the little girl get dressed for going outside, mainly just slipping on her shoes and brushing her hair. Things he was able to do pretty fast, before Ellie seemed to even notice anything was off. Soon, he had the little girl in his arms and was leaving Ellie to get her studies done in the still quiet house.

Eleanor had effectively buried herself in her work for a good while. Give or take an hour, maybe more had passed until the woman remembered she had Kade in her house... and Rune was still napping. Both oddities she kinda brushed away. Well her work was finished, so that left to make something to eat. "Hey Kade?" Ellie asked as she stood in the hallway. Odd... did he leave? Well she had left him in the... kitchen! Right. There she went, finding the place empty. She had to frown a bit, as hard as it was to keep up with him, Ellie did like his company. Heading to the fridge, she noticed something on the counter, a note? At the 'Hiii' the woman didn't need to ponder much on who this was. Though... the rest of the note, didn't help. At all. First stage. Denial. "Kade didn't... No..." that was pretty much what Ellie kept repeating as she moved to her daughter's room and opened the door. Oh s**t. Second stage. Think. Okay, Rune was gone. With Kade... Where? Yeah that stage was practically jumped into the third. Panic. A pretty nervous, okay really nervous, Ellie ran a hand through her hair, keeping the other in her face. Blaire wasn't here so... Damn it Kade! Oh! Yoakim! Dear... please let that idiot be with Yoakim right now. The wreck of a mother simply headed out, trying to figure out where the hell was Kade! But first... get some help.

It had been a little bit over a week now since Kade had the most stupid idea ever. Seriously, how that boy’s head worked baffled Yoakim. Even if he had good intentions, anyone with half a brain would have known that it wasn’t something that you did. The blacksmith had given the young mother some alone time before deciding to go check on her. Sure, he had helped her finding her daughter, but the hairdresser was still his boyfriend which didn’t necessarily made him the best person in the world after that event. They had only recently started to talk to each other again, but… who knew how the mother would take everything? Yoakim made his way to the Vatonage’s house. He was standing in front of the door for a good ten minutes now, not deciding to knock or not. This was… awkward. Finally finding the courage to knock on the door, he took a deep breath and did just that. Now… to wait.

It was one of those rare days where Ellie had no work to do, which almost always ended in the same thing, spending it non-stop with Rune. This time was no exception. She had been playing with the infant in the living room for the last few hours, which would explain the mess of toys in the floor. Ever since Kade had... decided to scare the hell out of her, Ellie was very very aware of where her daughter was. Granted it was like a joyride for the little girl, the young mother had pretty much been in a panic over it. Blaire had been sure at one point she'd have to take her to the clinic or something. The white haired woman glanced at the door when she heard a knock, and left Rune to stand up and answer it. "Yoakim, hey there" greeted Ellie as she saw who it was. Of course running after a two year old meant no mirror check, and it would've been a good idea considering she had been finger painting with her daughter about an hour or two ago. Sure Rune had made a pretty drawing, both on paper and her mother's hair. This was one of the bad times of having white hair. But one had to admit, that green strand and blue spot was kinda funny.

Yoakim's heart skipped a beet when he saw the young mother opening the door. Yeah, he was still all into her. He awkwardly smiled at her with just the left corner of his lips rising. He had been wondering how she had been doing for the last week, but judging from her obviously good mood and... paint in her hair, she was doing fine. "Hi.. I... uh..." I want to leave Kade for you."I just wanted to know how you were doing and... and if you were angry at me?" Yeah, he should have probably just went along with it and try not to talk about the Kade fiasco, but he had to know. She the possibilaty that maybe, she could be angry at him was too much for him. He had made his goal the last two year to make the woman and her daughter happy. He couldn't have fail that bad by allowing the hairdresser to act like he had acted... He was partly responsible of it all. If he had been closer to Kade... Listen to him... He wouldn't have taken such drastic measure... In the future, he would need to balance both relationships better than he had been. He shouldn't neglect one for the other. Kade was a good boy who loved him and needed attention. He couldn't give all of his to Ellie or else he would keep being oblivious to the world and this would happen again. "I mean... the whole... last week.. Kade... It's... You're not angry at me, right?"

"At you?" Ellie looked at Yoakim, pretty confused at the question. Why would she be angry at him? He was the one that helped her find Kade! So it didn't really make sense to her... but nonetheless she shook her head. "Not at all, I'm angry at Kade, but not at you" confirmed the young mother. She stepped to the side to let the blacksmith in, though Rune had moved to the adults and already clung to the man's leg. "Aki!" So she was adorably cute. Very much so. Ellie smiled at the young girl before glancing up at Yoakim. "Seems like she's not angry either... Of course you weren't the kidnapper." Oh how furious Ellie had been at Kade. She had simmered to merely disliking him for now.

Yoakim smiled gently and the little ball of energy now clinging to his feel. He scruffled her hair a bit before lifting her in the hair and holding her. He loved her but... attention on the mother for now. "Well... Kade is my boyfriend... and... Well, I should have known.." He knew it was silly to feel guilty about that, but that was how he felt. "And.. well... I supose if I had gave him more attention all that wouldn't have happen... you know it's like... When you are angry at someone, you endup being angry at everyone they are close with... " He almost went to use the Kip-family example but figured it was for everyone's best sake not to. Bad memories of a bad time. "But yeah... I was angry at him too... We.. Didn't talk since it happen... Well, we started talking again two days ago... a little... I'm just.. Oh, I feel so guilty about all that.."

Oh. Now Ellie understood that. She had never one to be angry for long, and even then she only blamed who she thought was responsible. "Maybe so... but no one could've predicted Kade would deal with his depression with my daughter..." replied the woman. With Rune giggling in Yoakim's arm, she couldn't help but move a hand to the girl's head and stroking her hair gently. "Oh, I didn't mean for you two to stop talking" said Ellie with a slight frown. That was surely more than enough punishment for Kade, he did love Yoakim a lot. "I mean, if I hadn't asked for your help, you two wouldn't have gone through that rut." Only Ellie... really her daughter was kidnapped by Kade and she was concerned over their relationship. She still was pretty naive.

The blacksmith smilled sheepishly at the young mother. She was too nice for her own good, really. "Ellie... even if you hadn't, I would have still learned about it... and I would have still be pissed at him." Now, he wasn't looking at the woman anymore, porting his attention on the little bundle of joy in his arms. He was almost pathetic with Rune. It was almost a good thing that her real father wasn't in the picture, because there would have been so many clash with him and the blacksmith trying to act all fatherly for the girl. But how could he do otherwise? She was so charming! "We're....better now. Still haven't forgave him though." He said making a weird pout with his mouth. That was his way to show that he was unsure about something. This time was that he wasn't sure if he should ever forgive the hairdresser about that. Taking advantage of the busy mother to take her daughter away in secret and not saying where he was going. What Yoakim didn't know, was the Kade had only ended up at the salon by coincidence. Would he had went to the Cantata's like he wanted too, Yoakim and Ellie wouldn't have found Rune for hours. It was probably better for everyone that this hadn't happen.

"Well... it'd be too cruel to hang it over him forever. Even if I won't be forgiving him anytime soon" commented Ellie. She looked at the two and couldn't help but smile. They were so cute together! Ellie was really thankful he was in the little girl's life. Especially since her real father wasn't... and wouldn't be if Ellie had any say in it. Hm.. "If you're not too busy... Rune might want a different playmate than me. It's my day off but still... and I need to get this off before my last resort is letting Kade deal with it" said the young mother with a point to her now multi-colored hair. Maybe it was a bit too much to ask in her mind... Then again the little girl was doing the convincing for her with being cute and all.

"Of course I wouldn't mind" Replied the blacksmith while poking the little girl on the ribs, then the stomach, then the forehead, then basically everywhere he could poke her without being called a ******. "Although I have to admit that your should keep your hair like that. I always picutred you as being a punk in-becoming!" Teased the blacksmith. Ellie being a punk? That wouldn't happen in a hundred years. It was.... so... Anti-Ellie. Ellie with a Mohawk and piercing was like asking Yoakim to drag. That just wouldn't happen in this live time. "Go... take a shower or roll in bleach... whatever works. Me and Rune we will.... Do whatever Rune say! Isn't that a fun girl? Yes it is! Okay, I'm just lacking imagination but as long as she have fun!" Laugh the blacksmith before heading further inside the house. They wouldn't play in the entrance hall afterall.

Ellie simply smiled watching the duo head inside. They were so cute together! Who would imagine? That huge blacksmith, in comparison to the girl, being slave to a tiny toddler? She chuckled at Yoakim's comment regarding her hair. Oh would it? Ellie simply looked at him while she took Rune from him for a moment to set her down on the couch, and picked up one of those plates that had finger paint on it, to put away. Or so he thought. "That's not a bad idea Yoakim... Of course I'm not going to do it alone" said a mischievous Ellie. In a moment, the white haired girl reached for the blacksmith's hair with a little... okay a hand dripped in green finger paint to splat upon. Believe it or not she managed it! Even with him being about seven inches taller. Ah but the power of standing on tip toes and stretching helped there! Not to mention a laughing Rune to the supposed parental figures dripped in more paint than the girl herself. "Oh look we match" smiled the woman. He wouldn't do anything in revenge... or would he?
