▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ★ Lesley giggled. She was already feeling a little drunk and high. Lesley was a complete lightweight. Which was why she didn't drink much, or do any drugs with her little brother. "Well duh silly! Why would I bring something for us not to drink~? Plus it's wine honey! Wine is for drinking. My little brother doesn't like wine, so it's fine~" She said as she now started to eat her food a bit more... a lot more. Lesley had self control problems, which is why she normally stayed away from this kind of stuff... and by 'this kind of stuff' she meant food. Lesley had an eating problem. The nurse drank down her own wine, serving herself some more, and serving Mei some more too... even if Mei didn't drink as much. It was so nummy~ Everything nummy~ Like this potato salad! Oh my gosh~
"And this is a neat show! See they catch icky ***** and take them to jail. I think it's funny because they show their online conversations, which are like TOTALLY gross and when they go to jail, they cry! But it's fine since they're like sickos!" She loved seeing 50 year old ***** crying on television while cops take them away. It was almost as fun as watching weight loss reality shows while eating a lot of pizza and ice cream. ★ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

Mei turned a little pink; it was a little stupid to think that Lesley would bring wine to just stare at. Unless there was some weird decor fad involving wine bottles, and then she was always glad to receive design tips. "So this is how they capture criminals in America?" she asked as she continued to eat and drink. You know, it wasn't so bad! Of course, there was always the possibility that her tastebuds had just been traumatized, but she could still taste the wine so it was okay! "With a camera crew and a host and everything? Leave it to America," she said with a smile. She honestly believed that Americans did that, thanks to late night reruns of Cops and Cheaters. And now this! But she wasn't criticizing America; in fact, she was impressed! From what she had seen, it seemed to be effective!

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ★ Lesley started to feel really... really good. She looked down at her plate and noticed the catfish was gone. Aww... it was... nice~ Well Lesley might have accidentally thought she grabbed a sedative, and took something a bit 'different'... what different thing? Ecstasy. Lesley smiled at Mei. "Only the funny crimes! There's a lot, so they only show neat ones, like this, and uh cops, oh and cheaters... oh my god I love cheaters..." Ever since one of the girls who bullied in her school was on it being cheated on she did anyway!
Lesley kept her dreamy smile on Mei though. Yeah... lightweight + drugs didn't usually end well. At least she was just staring! She just felt good, soon it'll go into her deeply thought out love confession to Dr. Finn! Just as soon as she remembered what a phone was. ★ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

Mei paused; she was beginning to feel a little strange. Off. Maybe she was getting sick? Oh, she hoped it wasn't food poisoning. Maybe she shouldn't eat anymore... She glanced at the plate. Not that she usually ate much. She nibbled on her meals, and then drank the rest of her calories. So she took another sip of wine. What an odd sensation! "Oh, I've seen those before. When I moved here, I watched a lot, since I didn't speak very good conversational English. I learned a lot of new words!" Thank god for censoring, otherwise she would have a completely different way of speaking. She noticed Lesley was staring at her... strangely. "...Are you okay, Lesley?"

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ★ She's cute, and nice, and actually doesn't mind hanging out with you Lesley! Kiss her! Don't blow your chance! Your at her house, and there's liquor and drugs and you can just say you're drunk if she rejects you. Not that it would matter, she's nice enough that she wouldn't mind, probably won't mind that you've never even kissed anyone, and are what? 26...? Lesley's smile quickly went away, but she did scoot towards her, and set her head down on Mei's shoulder. She was just going to ignore the drugs. "Yeah I'm fine. You're a good friend." She muttered the last part. A friend is better than nothing. She couldn't risk ruining that. It's not like she had anything else going for her, with her biggest crush being married and happy with his relationship and all... (>:0 Loli, you can just end the day!) ★ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

Mei was touched! Almost too touched. You could blame the alcohol and the drugs for that. "...Thank you, Lesley," she said as if she were on the verge of tears. Not really, she was just starting to feel sleepy. The patted Lesley awkwardly but gently on the head before turning up the volume on the TV. -skip through other fun sleepover stuff, probably one-sided on Lesley's part considering it's Mei.- -end to day /lazy-

-New Day!- Mei unlocked the front door and held it open for Cid to go in first. "I hope you don't mind that it's small. I wish we had a tea shop here," she said in Chinese, smiling shyly. She placed her bag down on a table in the entryway as she followed him in. She silently thanked god that she had had enough time to fully clean the apartment after that night with Lesley. For some reason, she had been usually messy. "What kind of tea would you like? I have various kinds." She walked over to the kitchen and opened the cabinet, unpacking the boxes upon boxes of tea, ranging from packets to tea leaves.

Kuan-yin Chao ☯ ☯ ☯"I do not mind Ms. Mei. I simply enjoy spending time with someone." He replied in chinese. He did after all enjoy others' company far more than being on his lonesome. "Whichever you wish to have at this very moment I will enjoy as well Ms. Mei, I love all kinds of tea. Besides the black tea which tastes greatly bitter..." He clearly meant coffee, but forgot the name it was called. The young man made his way into the apartment and placed his spade on a corner, his hat on top of that. Mostly because his hat was big and always seemed to knock things over.

Mei smiled at Cid before walking over into the kitchen. My, it certainly was stormy outside, wasn't it? The weather bounced around so often around here, she never knew what to expect. Anyway, she opened up her tea cupboard and located a package of red tea -- it lasted longer, and she didn't want to give Cid old, flavorless tea. "Uhm, please sit, it will take a moment," she called to him as she began boiling water. Once the water was heated, she poured it into two tea cups with the tea, and carried them out to where Cid was. "Sorry for the wait," she mumbled rather routinely as she handed one cup to Cid, and then sat down.

Kuan-yin Chao ☯ ☯ ☯Unlike Mei who didn't seem too concerned at the weather, Cid was very much so! He was looking out through the window, and looked out there, clear worry in his eyes. He did live outside and all, he would have to walk to the mines to sleep tonight. The beach cave was probably filled with water by the looks of those winds. "Um, Ms Mei, do you happen to know what the weather will be today? I grow worry as I do not have a place of residence, and it appears to be a rather unpleasant weather out, unpleasant enough to make one not wish to spend time out in it." He was clearly not asking to stay here, he only wanted to know how bad it would be for his departure some time later. As for the tea, he happily took his cup.
"I thank you Ms Mei, it appears to be wonderful to all senses." Besides touch, it was probably very warm. Cid took a small sip from the tea, and very much enjoyed it, yes it was rather fine. Maybe not the best, but it was very good. "So Ms Mei, mind I ask what part of China you are from?"

Mei had to take a moment to remember what the newspaper had said... "I believe it's a typhoon?" she suggested with a small smile, pleased to have remembered. "But just a small one, I think," she added before taking a sip from the tea. "Me?" she looked at him expectantly. "I'm from Beijing." She took another sip before setting down the cup. "You?" She had never been good at identifying dialects or accents. Mei was silent for a moment before frowning. "Wait... Did you say you do not have a home?"

Kuan-yin Chao ☯ ☯ ☯A typhoon meant bad news to Cid. Small or not, hypothermia from the wind was always an issue, which is why he had so many layers of clothing. Hearing her now ask him, Cid had to think for a moment. He wasn't from an actual city, or an actual area on a map. He really only knew the place by memory, which is how he planned to get home. So he couldn't fully answer her. "I am unsure, however I can say that I am from a mountain temple." He answered her to the best of his ability. It was true too, he was from a mountain temple.. just not really sure of the area! He knew if he saw it in a map, he would know though! "Um. Yes. I hope you do not find anything wrong with my lack of residency, but I do not have a home. I am really only to stay in Nirvani for a short period of time until I am well capable of continuing my journey." He sounded like if he came straight out of a fantasy movie. Mei probably wouldn't notice though! Which would be a first to Cid.

Mei nodded slowly as she listened. It seemed that she was trying to make sense of it, but she understood perfectly! Or maybe it was just her mind playing tricks on her, since it had been a long time since she had last spoken to someone in her first language. "It must be very important," she said seriously as she nodded faster. "Anyway, you are welcome to stay here until the storm passes. You're my guest, afterall." The storm would only last for what, a few hours? It would surely be over by the morning, right?

Kuan-yin Chao ☯ ☯ ☯Cid wished to, as the cold was one thing he did not enjoy, but he did not wish to be a bother. He would have to repay her somehow.. well he did want to leave at the end of fall, but repaying Mei's kindness today would be more important than leaving a week or so earlier. Yes he planned to repay Mei by purchasing her better furniture. Of course there was nothing wrong with what she currently had, but he could find her some of the same that is more desirable. That way Mei could pass on her current furniture to someone else in need, and thus make many people happy by his single act of kindness! It has been decided, that is what he will do! "I am very grateful Ms Mei, but I do not wish to be a bother, so if there is anything that you require assistance with, I will gladly help you in anyway possible." He didn't know how to be a guest. So he planned to simply sit here and not get in the way.
Cid sipped some of his tea and turned to Mei. Then turned away and thought for a moment. He wasn't one to speak much. Most of the time he did so out of observations or to question something.. but there was nothing for him to question, so there was nothing for him to say. He looked around for a moment, before wondering. "Um, you reside here alone?" This was him having a conversation.

"Oh, no, I couldn't possibly let you...!" Mei was flustered by his offer. But then she realized that she probably overreacted a bit. He had just asked to help out if he could, and she acted like he had announced he was going to buy her the clinic. She picked up her cup and sipped some of it for a moment. They were awfully quiet, weren't they? No wonder talkative types liked her. She was quiet company. "Yes, I live alone. But that's okay, and it means that it's easy to stay on top of housework." This was her explanation for her initial outburst. She probably should have mentioned that.
