I would agree with those that say an aluminum baseball bat. Easy to use and very durable. I'd also go for a Spartan shield.

Just be careful not to pick up a replica, thing will probably crack like an egg in a situation where a real one might just get dented

King Hamn or the A12 shotgun... fully automatic. Most SWAT teams carry AA-12's and special ammunition for it. Personally i'd go for any six-shooter revolver or magnum. Light ammo and deadly shots.

Light ammo and deadly shots. And a long a** reload And any special shells you find off a swat guy are not going to be any better than buckshot. The main special types used by swat are breach rounds, tear gas rounds and flare rounds. All tactical stuff, not killing stuff. And I'm pretty sure that any AA-12 shotgun carried by SWAT is going to be some sort of reduced power sub-model. I think that currently the Atchisson assault shotgun is mainly available to military forces, I think it might be available for swat, but not readily available.

I think some facts about the Atchisson are a bit crossed. The AA-12 is available to S.W.A.T., but no one wants it. It's conceptual and has a lack of accessories, and due to size and bulk, no S.W.A.T. member wanted them, they want to get in and out quick. Last I heard the marines turned them down over the Benelli M4 for the same reasons. Automatic shotguns are just a waste of shell, they rave about how it's accurate up to 175 m, but so is an assault rifle, an assault rifle is just not as random. There really isn't a situation when S.W.A.T. would find these useful. With buckshot, you only know which direction it's going, so when you go to clear a room with hostages, you're going to do more harm then good, and you don't need fully automatic tear gas or flare rounds, and if done right you only need one shot with a breach round to get through a door, the AA-12 is just useless to S.W.A.T., so despite being available, they don't really use it.

Now for melee I prefer the classic cricket bat for shits and giggles but I highly reccomend as a fire arm an M9 for several reasons: High capacity magazine,High manoverbility,Easy to store clips [also you can carry a high volume], As well as reliability.

Melee weapon I would go with a good durable cricket bat or an aluminum baseball bat. I wouldn't recommend a chain saw because you could easily attract your previous victim's friends with all that noise and when your running for you life a chain saw isn't the best thing to carry.
For a fire arm an M9. kensislayer just previously explained that.
Also if you remember the Zombieland rules you'll be just fine. wink

I'd die happy if I had a life-time supply of ammo and one of those badboys in my closet. And the handgun, crowbar and hatchets are my style, too. Problem is I never really studied rifles other than sniper rifles so I'll decline to comment on them because I don't want to make an a** of myself.

mikedav17 Pistol: M1911 .45 caliber handgun Rifle: M1 Grand M4 carbine Sniper Rifle: M1903 Springfield SVD Dragonov YES YES AND MORE EFFIN' YES. That is a list of my favorite weapons of all time, do you realize this? I would massacre any number of innocent lives to get my hand on a Springfield in good condition. M1? One of my ex's dads had two of them. Yes, that was the sole reason for dating her, she was a b***h lmao. Dragonov? Well, I may prefer the Springfield a billion to one, but the Dragonov is better suited to my style. And I'm a sucker for classics. Just thought I'd say how awesome this list is.

Named after its inventer. The Garand is a GREAT rifle, but it has its problems... for starters its a monster as far as weight goes. As a Reenactor, I've handled several garands, and for accuracy and power they are great, but for close quarters and manoeuvreablity, you're better off sticking to carbines, you mention the M4, great weapon. I like the M1 Carbine, the Garands little brother. Initially introduced as a replacement for the 1911A1 sideearm, soldiers much prefered it as a light rifle. It has an effective range of about 250 meters, making it ideal for a close range combat weapon. itis light and has magazines ranging from 5 - 30 round capacity. The A2 model from the Korean conflict even has a selective fire mode, allowing for fully automatic fire, which it takes to better than Stoner varients like the M16A1 (there is a reason the A2 and the M4 have a burst function rather than full auto, not to mention a forward assist lever) The M1 Carbine is compact, easy to clean and fires the powerful .30 Carbine cartrege, which is available at any Gun and ammunition store in the united states. Its an accurate weapon, again up to 250 meters. And its my pick for best Firearm for a zombie invasion, the M4 Carbine and the FAMAS G2 short Barrel being my other 2 recomendations. People Scoff at the FAMAS because its French.... but it's one hell of a rifle. And I respect anything that has a built-in Bipod. Great for sniping if you have a scope to fit to it. Melee, well my personal favourit is the Khukri, the knife used by Gurkha Warriorsfor centuries. a Properly made Khukri functions a bit like a hatchet, as a chopping, hacking weapon. but the blade is desgined in such a way that it doesn't bind up when it hits bone. In addition, the rear of the weapon makes an excellent cudgel, particularly the sharp bend at the back where the blade angles forward. Always remember, the business end of a weapon is not the weapon, the entirity of the weapon is the weapon. Other great choices are the afore mentioned baceball bat, extendable batton with weighted head (not as useful, but it will crac a skull open and they are VERY easy to carry.) Ball peen hammers, one with a medium weight and a study head. Use the Ball end when possible. the skull will roll off the tip on impact. Pistol wise.... the 1911 is a good choice. Me, I like the Fabrique National Five seveN. It fires a 5.7 x 28mm cartredge designed to cut through body armour (incidentally the same cartridge fired by the FN P-90 sub machinegun.) It's light, has a high capacity magazine and does everything you need it to do. Most of you are going to gravitate towards heavier guns like the M.R. Desert Eagle .50 ....great stopping power, but its heavy as sin, and has a high amount of recoil. Magnums are great mind you, and I do recomend them for stopping power... but a .357 or .45 LC revolver has slightly better balence than a .50 or hell, even a .357 semi automatic. Snipers. Dragonov is a good rifle. But I prefer its older, more experienced brother, the Mosin Nagant. Light. Powerful, and Acurate as sin. I tend to prefer bolt action rifles for sniping rather than semi automatic rifles (tho as mentioned, the FAMAS is decent as an impromptu DMR.) The '03 springfield is a great rifle too, but not as accurate as the Mosin Nagant and is a bit heavier too. I'd imagine the Styr 1890 with its strieght pull bolt (no turning) would make a decent sniper, but I've never fired one scoped. And that's my 2 cents

Man all of you guys make me feel like a gunnewb. My mom never let me even LOOK at guns because she was convinced I'd either shoot myself or the kickback would knock my tiny a** to the ground. -_- (For shits and giggles, guess my weight.) I love playing with guns though. Every time my grampa pulls out his glock I get all kinds of excited watching him reload it but he's never taught me how to clean it or do any maintenance. I'll have to ask him, should see him this Fourth of July. And what sucks is my family has a few gunnuts, military connections, even one Fourth of July the adults played around with a couple AK-47s they rented, I've never even gone hunting. Least not with a gun. I caught a bird in my jacket if that counts.
Hell I don't even know what kind of glock it is, but he has REALLY cool bullets. They're the kind that mushrooms on impact with the slitted copper tips. He always said to me "Don't flash your gun to threaten someone. Don't even let them know you have it. If you're only a threat when you're carrying a gun you're worthless anyway." I asked him why spend so much on bullets if you might never use it. He just grinned at me and said "Simply because if two or three of these get inside of you, they'll put you down and keep you down. If you don't bleed out, you will trying to yank them out. And if I pull my gun out, it's because I want someone to die." God, my grampa is so cool. cool

I would get the ak-47 or other assault rifle, magnum revolver, glock 40 caliber, and pump action shotgun. all of wich I can find in my neighborhood. I would saw off the stock of the shotgun. and would get some gardening tools like hand and full sized picks, hedge cutters, and a few knives. as far as vehicles go I would get a either a nive SUV or a nice big truck
