Kail Winn

The blue eyes of the owner watched the pouch with interest. He wondered how much would be in there and did some mental math to decide how much would be stripped away from him due to matience and employment costs. It still seemed like a good deal of money. "Seems well. And 5 shall be written down. Oh, and for recording you in our books, what name would it be under? Perferably use your own name so no confusion occurs." Kail always liked using real names so he could have a hint to who people were. It perked his interests into the mystery behind the stranger with details about where they came from and what their motives were.

"Ahh, there you are Ella." Kail turned hit attention onto his hostess. He gave her a quick smile so she knew that this was for his own sake more than anything else. Without taking another moment he also decided to ask, "Would you rather wrap your own cuts or have our staff do it? No extra charge." His light blue eyes once again moved their stare to the guest.

((no worries smile As long as the roleplay doesn't get stale with no one replying, I think it's fine ))

After bringing his current customers' orders, his ear caught the rough sound of Mr. Winn's voice. He always enjoyed listening to his voice. It was like a sheet of rough sand paper. Even if he hated the man from the bottom of his blackened soul, he did own him his life. That was a weird day. He can still remember the amount of money he made that day. It was an odd number, never a good sign. But enough of that. He answered the call as he was supposed to, without complaint or question.

And wouldn't you know it! Before he even got there he recieved a smack to the back of the head and a few loving and spiteful words from his co-worker, Ella, no doubt something to do with the cook incident. He looked over with a smile before replying, "Thanks. It fills me with joy to know my work is appreciated." Ella was always there to make Aesto feel loved. Sarcasism is always so fun. Aesto held his grin proudly as he turned to Mr. Winn for orders, most likely to do with the guest he had been tending to. Lazy a**.

Ella was slightly taken back by Aesto's reply before catching herself and pursing her lips. Saddly, witty comebacks was something she lacked usually, so with some difficulty she coughed out a sad reply of, "Only in your dreams." Sure, it didn't fit the bill perfectly, but when wit isn't your thing, it works.

A softer smile took over Ella's face as she turned to the guest. Even a horribly beat man was pleasant to see after an encounter with Aesto. In truth, Ella once had a crush on the con-man. Once, that was. She hoped never to tell him. But the thought was still an easy reminder of why she disliked him so. For now though, she would await her orders.

Grax shook his head and listened to the man as he talked, a small smirk playing upon his face. "You may call me Grax. I don't like to give out my last name. I discarded it along with everything else long ago. Any other information you want to know you should simply ask to the men I've killed." The cold mercenary shrugged his shoulders and glared towards the others, his smirk growing ever wider. "I'm sure you can tell this already, but even after all the battles I've been in, I can only do so much on my own. The bandages would be better wrapped by one of your staff than by me."

Grax released a heavy sigh and turned to face the owner once more. Taking the man's wrist roughly in his hand, Grax placed the heavy pouch upon his palm and smirked a bit. "I'm not too good at conversions, but I'm sure this is more than enough to keep me here for a good, long while." Removing his hand from the man's wrist, Grax stepped back and bowed slightly. "Thanks for allowing me to remain here good sir. I should warn you now though to remind your staff not to sneak up on me or an accident may occur. These blades of mine aren't just for show."

A thought suddenly occured to Grax and he glared not only at the servants, but at the owner as well. "Speaking of these blades, I want to have your word that none of you here will try to take them. It's really for your own good. Two of them are cursed blades, while one of these swords and the daggers strapped to my legs are my own precious treasure. The last sword is a very special one that is safe regardless of what may happen, so I know that no harm may come to it." Grax explained calmly as he stared down the slightly taller man. Once again the same smirk crossed his face and he nodded his head as if he trusted the owner not to cross him. "Now, what other questions might you have good sir?"

(( alrighty then. ^^ I'm having a liiiittle bit of trouble here working on some of these posts. My moods have bounced around again and it's causing me a few problems. sweatdrop I need to take my medicine and hope it kicks in soon. lol. ))

"You are in my dreams alot, Ella. Ha ha ha."God, it was fun to play with people. That's why he made use of this skill and became what he was. People say he would burning in hell or some place similar. They didn't mean it --or did they-- as most were just overwhelmed with hate fueled by the embarassment of loss.

Aesto listened to their potential customer and how he was a warrior in need of some assistance with mending his arm, a job that was extremely difficult with only one hand, at least if you wanted to do a good job on it. But Aesto took the advantage to poke fun with Ella as her sense of sick humor needed to be exercised. "If you need help with those bandages then you'll need someone good with their hands. Ella would fit that bill perfectly." He hissed joyful meaning his words to sound exactly how they sounded.

But more than use his cries for help to satisfy his mischievious jokes, he listened to the rest of his story. To sum it all up, the man said blah blah blah blah blah blah treasure blah blah bla- Treasure! A sly cat-like expression painted his face. His specific warnings simply added to the thrill that he would recieve in taking it. But he needed a plan. He recalled that this man would be in Room 5. But that was too easy. If he really wanted to make this fun he would have to find another way to get them. Goes was this going to be a fun day."Heh heh heh," he laughed under his breath thinking of how much he could rake in. But there was the issue on the one sword that the man had swore would remain safe no matter way fate may be fall it. Aesto was determined to change this little fact. Nothing is sacred, anything can be stolen, anyone can be fooled. These were the words he lived by. So now all that was left was to wait for this guy to fall into his plan.

The wicked mercenary couldn't help but to sport a grin for a moment as he turned to stare at the young man. "Get those thoughts out of your head right now boy. You try to touch my swords and I'll cut your damned arms off. All of these blades are very precious to me and I consider each one a part of my very soul. I won't let anyone touch them, especially not some young, petty thief such as yourself." Grax threatened angrily, never once removing his glare from the young man.

Turning back to stare at the owner, Grax bowed his head. "I apologize if my harsh statements just now bother you, but these blades are all, indeed attached to my soul. Excalibur cannot be raised by anyone but me, so that is why it is safe. Ragnarok and my shadow blade, which is without name, are my cursed blades that, if touched by another, may very well lead to their death. Finally, my other three blades were bestowed to me by my deceased Master, and as such are my most precious treasures. I cannot lose them ever."

The mercenary stared down at his swords and then at the daggers strapped to his ankles. After a moment he drew the sword his master bestowed upon him and smiled as he showed it to the man before him. "The blade never dulls and with each battle, each opponent I kill, its power grows ever stronger. It is the most powerful sword I own. This sword and the daggers carry with them memories of my family...of my master and my village. Please promise me you won't let this foolish servant of yours try anything. I would hate to see such a young man lose the arms he holds so dear." Grax frowned a bit as he placed his blade back within its sheathe and turned his gaze back towards the owner's face.

| Ella LeRoc |

"Jerk." Ella coughed under her breath as she jabbed her elbow into Aesto's side. Ella soon replaced the smile on her face as she turned away; however, although her face may be happy, her mind was still lingering on her cruel co-worker. 'Out of all the guys Kail could have saved, he had to chose the biggest freak of them all.' The black of the hostess' eyes fell back onto Aesto's face. 'A cute freak. Why is he so... soo...' Forcably, she pulled her eyes away, 'so jerksih.' Her face soured into a slight pout as she waited.

The stories of Grax seemed to mostly concern his weapons. Ella was never much into weapons. She had seen so many come and go that they all seemed to do the same things - cut, stab, kill - that it didn't seem to matter. The bag of gold amused her for a moment, before Ella realized she worked for board and food alone so none of that money would ever touch her hands. Shrugging it off, the girl sighed. Her mind still wandering over small things that never seemed to matter in the long run such as hopes, dreams, and cake.

When the threatening started, Ella just stared blankly. She knew Kail would never put up with it, so it didn't seem to exciting. Although in her mind she may have hoped to see Aesto in pain, she knew that her sympathy would get the best of her and she'd end up feeling sorry for him anyway. So either way things went, they'd never be good for her.

Kail Winn

Mr. Winn accepted the bag with a cold face and stuffed it into his pocket. "Well, welcome to the Inn, Mr.Grax. We are glad to have you." An unamused smile swept onto Kail's face. How he had hated bickering when he was never apart of it. However, the owner let the fight continue for a little longer just to see how it developed. When the threat was thrown out, he immediantly spoke up. "I'm sorry Mr.Grax, but there will be no maiming in my Inn. It costs too much to clean up the mess afterwards. If you wish you to hurt anyone for any theif, please take it outside."

His blue eyes fell to Aesto with a warning. It could be read along the lines of, if you dare steal from our customers, you're on your own,or perhaps, don't eat my soup in the fridge. The first meaning was more meant for this occasion.

Turning back to Grax, Mr. Winn continued. "I do promise that under my command, my staff will not take your weapons. However, may I introduce to you some of my staff." His right hand pointed to the fair haired young girl. "This is Ella. She is the hostess here and is for general help," his hand then moved to the young man, "And you've already been chatting with our waiter, Aesto. Actually, they will be attending to your wounds today." A sly grin overcame Mr. Winn's face as he looked between the two. "It'll take less time if they both do it and will leave you more time to rest, heal, and relax. So please, take a seat at one of our couchs and they will be right with you." He offered a small wave to signal for the guest to take a seat. When the guest leaves, he would simply make a slight comment to his employees and leave off to the bar to have a small laugh.

Why is it everyone who discovers what he is uses this word? Petty. For the last time he is not a petty thief! Sure he was heartless at times... Okay most of the time, but petty would mean he had no skill nor class whatsoever. On the contrary, Aesto was quite good at what he did. But he shrugged it off. Besides these people were all the same when it came to handling his kind. Torches and pitchforks, so this was nothing unexpected. Not even Ella elbow strike caught his as anything new or surprising. However one thing he did take most troublesome from this exchange was the man's ability to sense motives and intentions. This would make it difficult to get close to him and those blades.

Speaking of his weapons, the man went further into history of each individual blade describe that they were some how connected to his soul. What a silly thing to think! Aesto wasn't in any way a believer in the occult. All of it hogwash to scare people like as himself from sacred idols that could be worth a fortune. But Aesto tended to shy away from tomb raiding or grave robbing preferring to fool people over risk work inside a structural unstable stone deathtrap. No sirree! They wonder if they are cursed because they stole a single artifact and the roof came in on their head. Maybe they should remember that the place they stole it from happened to have thousands of years to decay.

But his attention was then brought back to Mr.Winn and Mr.Grax, though more Mr.Winn as he was doing that talking and glaring at Aesto. When Mr.Winn gave his word that he wouldn't take the man's possessions, Aesto became a bit disheartened to the idea. If attempting to pull off this thief would result in him being cast out and thrown to the mercy of the not so kind Mr.Grax, Aesto seriously reconsidered his position on the matter. But was there any harm in trying? Aesto then remember the prize for failure. He cringed at the realization that he could loss his arms. Without them, he would become useless. Plus he like his arms. He already picked names for them.

Then Mr.Winn did something cruel and sadistic. After introducing them to the customer he then had the gall to do such a thing. To help mend his wounds was a one person job and yet he assigned both Ella and him to it. Aesto believed that Mr.Winn was simply trying to provoke him into trying to steal for this warrior. A look of protest came to protest came to his face, yet remained silent. Though he did see the humor he would get from this, seeing him struggle to resist.

Silently, the long outline of a woman leaned against one of the many, wooden counters within the Inn's kitchen. Upper, pearly white teeth nibbled gently at a pale pink, lower lip, as a set of emerald eyes squinted, concentrating forward on an open book. Reading along, she seemed to take in each detail of the written font. Drinking in the creative curve of a 'y', the sudden slant of a capital 'A', each word seemed to mesmerize the waitress. A love for books was obvious to behold in the expression on her delicate, young face. However, it turned out that she really was too comfortable for her own good. Not even on her break, and one of the Inn's employees was already slacking off just to read a book? How distracting, and shameful. Leaning forward a bit, her spine pushing out against the sensitive skin of her back, Lily looked as if she was really getting into the story. As it began to reach a climax, a sudden voice pulled her from the world of fiction. One of the cooks noticed her not paying attention, and called out to her, with a slightly annoyed tone. An order was up and ready to be served, and it was her duty to do so.
"Ah!.. I'm so sorry. I'll take care of it right away."

Frantic, Liliana jumped up from her spot against the counter, carefully placing her book aside, away from the nearest stove. Wouldn't want to start a fire, of course. That just might add to her list of reasons to become unemployed.. Shaking her head, she stepped over to a pair of fresh, steaming dishes, looking over them to make sure they were meant for her. Slipping her palms underneath the sides, it wasn't too difficult to balance the plates, she found, as she began to push open the door to the dinning area. Taking in a deep breath, her eyes scanned over the room to search for the owners of these items. Spotting them, a polite smile formed on her lips, creating small dimples at the corners of her cheeks. Hurrying, but keeping a graceful accent to her steps, Lily made sure to deliver the food with practiced posture and poise.
"Here you are."
She spoke, setting the dishes down before each guest of the Inn. Folding her hands in front of her, she looked to each one, watching as they thanked her with grateful, hungry words.
"Is there anything else I can get for you?.."
Shaking their heads, she nodded and stepped away from the table.

I really should be more attentive to my job..
Sighing, Liliana entered the kitchen once more, checking to make sure she didn't need to take anything else out before getting too comfortable.
But..it really is a good book..
Smiling a little, she reached out, grabbing at her novel as she lifted herself up to sit on top of the counter. Legs dangling over the end, underneath the soft, slightly golden color of her dress, she resembled that of a child, excited to open a gift, as she opened the cover of the book. Diving back into her story, it was nice to get away from reality often..even though it technically did jepordize her job..

Kail Winn

With both of his younger employees silent, Kail found some time to scold them. "If you two didn't fight so much, you wouldn't have to be doing this team building cooperation. But some things never change, do they?" He sent them an eeri grin before resting his hand on his hip. "Well go to it. Mr. Grax is waiting." Tilting his head to the side, Mr. Winn walked past the two and over to the bar.

A proud grin stuck onto Kail's face like a tattoo. He'd love to watch from afar as his two most feisty employees battle over their task. So, finding a good spot to watch from, Kail took a seat. He rested his elbows against the table and joined his hands. "Lilian," The owner called, his blue eyes still set on the soon to be verbal battlefield.

Ella resisted the urg to roll her eyes. Taking a deep breath she bowed her head. "Alright, Kail. We'll get to it." A surpressed smile took form on her lips. This would be a painful excersise, and she knew it. The receptionist dared not look to the waiter and start something. Well, least not until her boss had left. Her hand hanging by her side nervously played with the side seam of her pants. The fidgeting made her feel more calm.

Soon enough, Mr. Winn left them for his own needs to do what they must. The young girl took her first step away before sarcastically asking, "Was this in your dreams to?" She meant it more retorical, but Ella guessed he would answer anyways.

Her feet lightly tapped against the older wooden floor. The girl forced a smile to appear friendly and welcoming to the guest. People always seemed to like other happy people. Maybe it was because happiness was contageous. 'Nahh, yawns are contageous. Not happiness.' Ella corrected silently.

As Winn walked away, a grin on his face as he did, Ella spoke up asking something about his early comment. He followed suit only in the direction of the medicine cabinet while answering her question dimly. "Not exactly." His voice mirrored the two's opposition to participating in this task, Ella because it was a face she disliked Aesto, and Aesto because he was going to be overly tempted by their customers possessions. "I'll get the bandages. Get his wounds clean." Hopefully, he could speed this process along as to benefit the both of them, see as neither enjoyed this at all.

Arriving before a wooden cabinet upon the wall, Aesto rummage through the stock of bottles and boxes until his hand came upon a roll gauze perfect for wrapping the wound of Mr. Grax. Some without wasting anymore time, he closed the little wooden door and made his way to the couch where the man was. Then it occurred to him to think how he could have hurt himself and why he came to the inn. But it wasn't his place to ask. You never know with a guy willing to cut a guy's arms off just for stealing some sharpen steel bars with handles.

Finally, he arrived with a chair he snatched from one of the tables to sit down on one side of their injured guest, who was patiently awaiting the bandages. While he was getting the bandages, Ella had done what he said and clean up the wound a tad. Now came the wrapping. Aesto had experience with this kind of stuff, having had his fair share of rustle and tussles with enraged persons. So he started be placing the first stripe down before turning to Ella."Could you hold that there? These will fall off if I can't tie it down in the end."

Grax had acknowledged the owner's warning with a grunt and watched him leave before turning to the assistants. He stared at them for a moment as they left to gather the medical supplies before limping over to the couch. Plopping himself down, the mercenary closed his eyes as he laid his head back on the couch. "I should've been more careful."

Grax began to think back on the job that put him into this condition. Naturally, willing to take on any job no matter what may be in store for him, Grax accepted a job that sounded far too fishy regardless of what his gut told him to do. He was being paid to assassinate someone of high authority because, apparently this person was running a type of slave trade. Even after learning otherwise, Grax completed his mission and ran the kind-hearted man through without a hint of regret coursing through him afterwards.

What came afterwards, upon his return to his employers, was just as he had expected. They had already planned to do away with the nobleman's murderer. Not once had the thought ever occured to them that this mercenary was not one to be screwed with. Regardless of their numbers, Grax did away with each and every one of them, but in the end he was severely wounded. Snatching up their treasure and all of the gold they had, the mercenary left and began on his way. He had done his best to ignore his injuries, but after some time walking...

Suddenly, Grax heard the sound of the thief's voice and he opened his eyes, only to smirk at the young man. "You want to know something boy?" Grax lifted his head off of the couch and stared at him for a moment before placing his hand on the boy's head and rubbing it a moment. "You sort of remind me of my best friend. Dark the thief. He's a Dragonite: half-human, half-dragon. The only one who has ever beaten me before in a fair fight. Three freaking times he's beaten me and I've yet to beat him once. Still, if not for him..." Grax frowned and just gave the young boy a gentle hug, resting his chin on top of the boy's head. "Dark's the one who keeps me sane. Plus, he's the only one who has ever stolen from me and lived to tell about it."

Grax released the young thief and chuckled a bit as he stared into his eyes. "Still, as much as you remind me of him, I wouldn't recommend trying to steal from me. I'd still cut your arms off." The cold mercenary winked at the boy before he broke out into a fit of laughter. After a while, Grax finally started coughing and clutched at the wounds all over his body. "Ugh. Dammit that hurts! My legs, my chest, my back...they got me freaking everywhere dammit!" Grax slammed his fist down beside him and growled angrily. "I knew I should have turned that damned job down!"

Ella nodded to the waiter's words before heading off towards the kitchen. Quickly she filled a large metal bucket with warm water and snatched up a clean dishrag which she lay on the edge of the bowl. Before hefting the heavy bucket, Ella stretched her arms to the sky. Several cracks sounded before she went to the task of carrying the water loaded container.

"Oh, sorry." The hostess apologized as the bucket ankored to one side and almost splashed a guest. "Sorry again...heh." With a few more apologies and embaressing close calls, Ella made it to the guest. Her face as red as the roses in her hair.

Gently, she took a seat by him and took up the dishrag. She soaked it, gently applied pressure to the cut area, resoaked it and so forth. She was just done one arm when Aesto returned with the bandages. Ella tried to hurry to finish. It felt uncomfortable to sit here with so much silence going on. It was only after she had finished that anyone spoke.

It was first Aesto's voice that had broken the silence. Although usually rebellious to any thing he asked, she obeyed, muffling a small "alright," as she held the bandage end. When Grax began to speak to Aesto, Ella turned stiff. It was odd sometimes to listen to the stories, but even more odd when a guest hugs an employee unexpectedly. Her red eyes stare dared not to move from the end of the bandage she held.
