He waved a hand in the direction he had come. "I have a small cottage back that way...I've lived alone most of my life..." He smiled slightly. "Would you like to see it?"

"That would be wonderful. Oh," She hesitated. Softly she asked, "Do you mind if Sam comes as well?" She held Sam in her arms.
"Even if he says no, I'll still follow behind." Sam placed his thoughts silently and reassuringly into her mind.

"That's fine.." He smiled and stood. "Follow me." He lead the way through the trees and back to his small cottage. "It's not much..but it's home."

Sabel looked at the cottage. "Wow, It's beautiful." The cottage, although not large in size, was wonderful to Sabels eyes. It looked as if it was one with woods. Ivy climbed up one side, It must have been in this very spot for hundreds of years, yet It showed no signs of rot or weather.
What an interesting place for one to live..." Sam thought to Sabel.
"Mhm.." replied Sabel, still looking at the cottage.

She smiled at Tomas with a happy, shyness and walked through the cottage door with Sam padding behind her.

He shut the door behind himself, whispered something and a fire sprung to life in the fireplace. "Oh..my name's Tomas by the way."

"Sabel" She replied. "And I don't think I need to introduce Sam" She smiled. Sam rubbed against Tomas's legs.

Nicholas rushed out of the Great Hall, his sword hitting his hip.

Tomas smiled and sat in front of the fire, then pulled Sam onto his lap. "Make yourself at home Sabel." I'll talk to her Tomas...Tomas nodded mentaly, Sabel..the Rose called softly
Felix paced back and forth in his chambers, thinking.

Sabel started slightly. "Did you hear...?"
Yes? She thought in her mind, not knowing who's mind to connect and reply to. The voice was kind and soft, yet contained power. It was far different from anything she'd ever heard. Usually Sabel and Sams minds were always connected, but Sabel could see that Sam hadn't heard anything. She looked around trying to find the source of the voice.

Be calm, Sabel...I am the Rose, everlasting in life and friend of Tomas..he protects me. I can tell you are a kind and trust worthy person, so I trust you with my secret... the Rose said softly. Tomas sat quietly, his hand resting on Sam's back.

Tomas looked up and smiled slightly. I am real..but you must tell no one that you know of me...you know the stories, yes? Also the price many men are willing to pay to find me..but I am well hidden...only Tomas knows where I am...you have my trust..but you must gain Tomas' as well..then he might lead you to me..Call on me if you need anything...the voice faded. Tomas had heard nothing of what the Rose said.
