Calix smirked. "You're her boyfriend. You're obligated to say that," she hissed, a fair amount of ice in her voice. "You'd better hope we get home before your dad gets those bandages off his eyes, or before your brother sees you. You'll be in deep s**t."
She glanced at Tye. "And you'd better hope your brother doesn't see you, either. Or your sister, for that matter. You know how she feels about prostitots."

Rani stuck her tongue out at her friend. "Big brother won't be mad at me, I don't even know what look like she he'll just assume Tye dressed me."
"For god sakes! Why do people have something against less clothing? It's much more comfortable." Tye groaned.
"Get that from one of your man callers last week?" Keiji teased, rubbing his jaw. He yelped, being knocked to the ground again.

Calix laced her fingers together and cracked her knuckles.
"Oh yes. That jerk will have an absolute ball beating you to a pulp," she murmured. Her hatred for Gabriel was always obvious whenever she spoke of him, and the ice crept into her voice anyways.

Calix sighed and climbed up onto a roof again. She leaned back on her hands, staring up at the clouds as she played with the zipper on her vest.
I wish Shin were here.. maybe I'd actually be able to talk to him..
